We've eaten at Coffee Grounds a handful of times and I remember enjoying the food and loving their Mochamisu. So when hubby was craving for dessert on the way home, this was one of my suggestions.

Hubby was quick to choose the Caramel Custard Cake. The Icing was so good it was like eating ice cream. The caramel topping was super sweet but the cake and the chocolate garnish balanced it out somehow.

Nothing jumped out at me. I even skipped the Chocolate Cake. I was sad that the Mochamisu wasn't available. But after a few bites of hubby's order we requested for the last Mango Ole on display. It was like a toned down, softer version of Conti's Mango Bravo with a lot more whipped cream. We loved it!

If it weren't that late in the afternoon, i would have gotten a Nutella flavored coffee. Hoping that the Mochamisu or Mango Ole are available on our next cake craving.

*parking in front and at the back of the building
**place wasn't that well lit

I forgot to take pictures, grabe na gutom ko! 128514128514128514

We ordered carbonara for 180 pesos good for sharing. Sausage 200 php, and Pork steak 200 pesos.. all good. Masarap sya, nakakabusog 128076

Sa coffee. Nutella and Mocha Java both tastes good. Not so sweet di rin naman matabang all for 150pesos..

And lastly, red velvet cake 120 per slice red velvet crinkles 5 pcs for 150 (ata?) and rebel bar for 60 pesos..

1. Located at the Valley Fair building, that conspicuous yellow building along Ortigas extension in Taytay.

2. Great food overall -- no terrible ones so far -- even if the price was a bit steep:

◽Zekesbury Steak (P200) - Ang sarap at nakakabusog. I like the eggs runny. Plus rice (of course) and corn.

◽Frappes: Banoffee (P150) and Nutella Ground (P150) - Parehong yummy! Not too sweet ung Nutella ko. Kaso by that time we were already full because of the steak.

◽Mango Ole (P120) - mukhang mini version ng Mango Bravo ng Contis. But taste-wise Mango Ole didn't taste anything near like it. Instead, it consisted of graham and cashew nuts. It was also good, and it became my sister's favorite.

◽Mochamisu (P120) - eto ang favorite ko. Ladyfingers were set against a light chocolate cake and topped with chocolate ganache (or something like that). Di gaanong matamis ung chocolate and I loved the spongy ladyfingers!

Dahil busog kami we had our unfinished cakes for a takeout.

3. The crew were attentive to us but it seems they weren't to others. They even annoyed one lady customer who complained of the slow service and chided them for dilly-dallying. She even said some warning to them cos she said she personally knew the owner of this cafe. Too bad.

4. Ambiance was really nice. Will try their other cakes and interesting-looking hot drinks. WiFi was fast and reliable too. Maybe the service crew should be more attentive next time.

If you're looking for a cozy place to hangout, visit this one and get a relaxing and comfy feeling inside their shop.

We tried their Strawberry Kiwi and Vanilla Shake on a hot, hot day and the taste were such great relief! 128075🏼

This is the only coffee shop along ortigas ave. ext. And I like that we I hang out here and do paperworks after work since it is practically along my way home. There is an enclosed area that you can reserve for private meetings for 2k/2hrs, consumable. Not bad for a big group. 128077 What I dont like is when there's networking people crowding at the al fresco area occupying every chair and table without orders when customers, like me, dont have a place to dine.

Their coffee's okay, without coffee arts. The praline blueberry cheesecake is good, not too sweet. They have rice meals, pasta and sandwiches. If you're going to plug phones/laptops there a flat charging rate of P40.

What to do after playing badminton? EAT! This place is a perfect hangout and eating place.

The veggie omelette (Php130) was nicely done, not dry. There's a generous filling of fresh and crispy vegetables - green bell peppers, tomatoes, onion and mushrooms. Nothing fancy but chunky and flavorful omelette. Wish they put black olives though. Hehe but that's just me. ;D

The service is good - nice, friendly and efficient staff. Will definitely come back! :)

This used to be mocha blends before but is now known as coffee grounds. Same management but different name and menu. They changed it up a bit. I ate pesto chicken pasta and for 190php with 3 small pieces of chicken, it wasn't very satisfying. The pasta could've been seasoned but they may have been going for the "healthy" route because it's bland. The chicken was salty in contrast. Try other stuff on their menu instead. That's what I would do next time I'm here.
