will be back for more... of that thin, crispy, flavourful okoy!!! sobrang sarap! kahit ito na lang kainin ko next time 9996🏻️
travelled for 2hours (amidst the south traffic) just to have a good lunch at concha's
again, the okoy is so so sooo good, will bet my name on it.
they served a generous seafood sinigang, not that sour-y sinigang with a kick 128077🏻
pakbet, for that healthy vibe since we ordered pork sisig too. (will skip the sisig next time, not as pleasing as compared to other dishes we had)
and that extra extra rice! hahahah 128569128569128569

If you're craving for a hot BULALO, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE TO GO!

My mom want's to try Concha's for a long time now because she's a fan of ALDUB wherein the owner of this resto is Alden. So we went here and we're also excited about it.

We ordered Concha's best seller LAOYA which is a sweetened BULALO. The beef shank was boiled with sweetened potato. It's supposed to be good but the soup is not hot nor not warm. We requested a hot soup to the manager but he said they don't give extra soup so we just requested to microwave or re-heat or whatever and it the temperature did not change at all. They said that the food serving is good for 3-5 person., how will it happen if their bulalo only have 3 small slices pf beef The last thing that's bad in their BULALO is the veggies, they put damaged veggies.

Next entree is Adobong pusit sa Gata, they said that its also good for 2-3 person but the serving is actually only for 1 person as it just placed in a platito. You can't even see and taste the GATA.

We ordered steamed rice and I can say it's cold AF. LOL
It looks like it just came from the fridge.

Very disappointing.

The last entree is CRISPY PATA, which saves our dining experience here because it's hot.

Homemade okoy + Concha's Laoya (lightly sweetened beef bulalo with mashed sweet potato, eggplant & banana)

I have always wanted to dine here at Concha's Garden Cafe but never got the chance to until yesterday. We were craving for Bulalo but unfortunately they do not have Bulalo on their menu! What they have was Laoya, a sweet version of Tagaytay's most famous dish. It was sweet alright but it was really good and very filling. The okoy was tasty and very crunchy too. Even after we finished our meal, its crispiness remained the same. Love it! Total bill (plus 3 plain rice) was around PHP 750. Not bad!

Highly recommeded! 1108811088110881108811088

It's a quaint, dainty restaurant which serves mostly Filipino cuisine. Food was ok because i was on low iodine diet and can't order much. The place was nice, as if it's tucked on a corner of a busy highway.

73rd birthday celebration for dad! Except for the US based Bascon's, all 6 other Tinio siblings were present. We took up half of the very homey dining area. Simple but notable dishes from our menu choices were the Okoy, Sisig and Beef Salpicao. Nothing fancy but well made and served hot and fresh. Attentive wait staff all around and the owner was very hands-on. While they were not chatty, service was nonetheless efficient. Parking could be a problem but an early lunch reservation gave us dibs on the shadiest parking spots.

Worth a try if you're on your way to Tagaytay via the Sta. Rosa-Tagaytay Rd.

It's a cozy Spanish style restaurant located inside a small garden that serves Filipino dishes.
They have 2 - 3 small nipa huts for those who would like to dine in the garden and they have wooden swing too!

The food are just okay, nothing special.
Service is also just okay except for the cashier who stands as the restaurant manager.

She always has a smile on her face but .. She would like to charge us corkage fee for the 3 pieces left over Jollibee chicken we brought in and even maintaining the same stand after we ordered Php2,277 worth of food for 6 "not matakaw" adults and after we asked if the corkage can be waived in case our little ones asked for Jollibee chicken.

During payment of our bill, she personally approached us for the 1 jar of lengua de gato we bought, telling us that it should be paid in cash because it's under consigned items.

What irked me was after putting Php150 bill on the table, my daughter did something that required me to reprimand her. She saw the situation and saw I was temporarily interrupted from paying her the Php170.

What she did was.. Saying it 2x beside me
"Ma'am kulang pa po bayad ninyo"

Didn't she see that I'm not finish with reprimanding my daughter? That I have not really return my wallet into my bag? Did she really have to act like as if I will ran away from paying the Php20?!

The place was packed since it was Mother's Day but it didn't deter the staff from being friendly and accommodating. I'm in love with the ambiance that it makes you forget that the resto is situated right beside a busy highway. Serving of the food was surprisingly fast and everything we ordered tasted great. I couldn't believe I've never checked this place out considering the proximity of this place from home.

I am definitely going back for a taste of their Chicharon Bulaklak (which was unavailable by the time of my visit). My family now has a new favorite. :)

After a short visit to Tagaytay, we headed down the Sta. Rosa - Tagaytay road and look for a good place to have our late lunch. We found our way to Concha's, a simple but cozy garden cafe which is really much nearer to Sta. Rosa.

The place was homey, I recall Kanin Club's interiors in a garden setting (not sure though if the owners are related). Tried out their Tilapia (P210) and Laing (P190) plus, Espie tried out their pandan drink while i got myself their brewed coffee which the menu says, had origins from Mt. Province.

Growing up with a family who actually grew and cooked tilapia in Pampanga, Espie immediately knew that the tilapia is not one of the typical ones found here in the south. She even jokingly said that the tilapia is "imported" and that it came from her hometown in Pampanga. That said, I immediately tried it out and enjoyed every bit of it. The laing was also really good (not as salty as in Kanin Club (pardon me for the comparison) but just right - though I wished it had more "gata" taste.

The fresh brew was indeed fresh, and quite strong which I loved -just to shake off that afternoon sleepiness as we head back to Manila after our short trip. The pandan drink was worth trying out again and makes one feel calm and refreshed after the drink.

Our bill ended up at P700+ for the two ulams, rice and drinks. Quite pricey but I would recommend this place for those seeking quality home-cooked meals in this part of town, and a cozy venue to begin with.

So i have, in a way, encouraged my bosses to eat at this place. They applauded the ambiance because no doubt it is very cool and cozy... Forgive me for the pics; at least you have an idea how big it is.

At that moment there was a group of friend gathering so it was quite noisy. We ordered pork binagoongan, bagoong rice, bulalo, spicy beef rib adobo, beef rolls, and chopseuy. Garden salad (please mind me thre are other names for these foods)

The bagoong rice was really a hit, we liked it with its salty-sour after taste.
The veggies were... Lasang lupa.. I dont know if it were literally freshly picked from the garden as in walang hugas at ano pa
The bulalo was sweet.. Weird noh? We were expecting it to be salty.. So they didnt like it and i so-so like it.
The beef rolls were flavored with liver spread.. Quite salty.
Salad was just ordinary. Greens, cucumber, raisins, singkamas, carrots and cashews.

Fast, friendly and informative service/ server

Busog nmn they rated it 3.5
I would give it a 4

First time here. Ambiance is good. We ordered shrimp and bangus sinigang, beef salpicao, and Lechon pork belly.

Beef salpicao was decent.
Sinigang tasted weird.
Lechon pork belly was decent but the skin was hard.

Overall this place is pwede na if you have no choice. But I won't be coming back.

Stumbled upon this place as we were hungrily going up to Tagaytay. Looked lovely from the outside, and the interiors were just as nice and inviting.

The spicy beef adobo ribs (which came with rice and veggies) was delicious--loved how tender and tasty the beef was. Had just the right amount of spice too. Definitely a steal for P250. The sisig was nothing too special but at least not as oily as some versions tend to be.

Recommended for the ambiance and the reasonably-priced and well-made dishes 128077

Filipino little garden restaurant along sta rosa to tagaytay. Capacity of around 40-50 pax.
Homy experience.. Staff were very courteous,.. Ambiance: antique. Filipino. Starbucks music.

I ordered spicy beef rib. And cheescake for later.

The set meal was 250 pesos. With veggies and rice. They served me three pieces of good beef rib. Tender and moist. They will also serve you a special spicy sauce for your beef. The veggies were great.. Not oily. I give it a five star.

However the cheesecake... They ddnt mention the flavor but it was obviously chocolate.. It was quite not what i expected of a cheesecake... It was like a custard cake? I tasted more egg yolk than cheese... It's not at all 'zingy'. Rather it was just super moist and 'fatty' :)

CR check.. It was clean. :)
Parking space? Around 4-5 cars lng ata...
Would recommend for reunions and amiga-amigo chats.
