Connect Lounge located on the 24th floor of Marco Polo Ortigas Manila is a place where you can enjoy munching on an afternoon snacks paired with a cup of coffee or tea. With a cozy ambiance and city view, as the name, this is a perfect place where you can have a nice chit chat with friends or love ones. Afternoon Tea set is available from Monday – Sunday from 2pm to 6pm. A selection of mini sandwiches, cakes, scones in a three-tier stand, I could say is definitely worth it for the price of Php788.

Since this is an open kitchen bar, you may customize your preferred cakes or sandwiches. Also, an upgrade if you wanted to have a glass of wine, iced tea or smoothie.

We also tried Strawberry and Mango Sherbet. I loved how it was true to its flavor. Very refreshing indeed.

I say if you’re looking for an afternoon snack with a sophisticated approach, head on to Connect Lounge to experience a relaxing afternoon Tea time.

This is my 4th review of the places to go in Marco Polo. One more left, their Chinese Resto on the top floors. I like being able to walk in as much as I could as it is walking distance from my house.

This time it’s a trip on their cozy lobby for High Tea. They have an all in package for Php 650 which they claim for 2 but can be for 3 even.

It has 3 kinds of Fresh Fruits, breads, 3 kinds of delectable desserts, tea and scones with really good cream on it. Yes this was the highlight of the bundle.

The breads had Salmon and Fresh vegetable wrap. The other two- Tuna and Ensaymada were a bit disappointing for its look and portion.

The desserts were all good from brownies, strawberry cheesecake and eclairs. Not too sweet and blends well to one’s palette.

The place of course has free high speed internet which even makes this experience more delightful. Come by!

Sunday Afternoon tea is our favorite time to chill and unwind after a long stressful week of work. The high tea served in Connect Lounge of Marco Polo is a good combination of savory and sweet. For around 800 pesos, you get 3-tiered combination of dessert pastries and small sandwiches, 2 scoops of fruity sorbet, chocolate souffle and choice of tea or coffee. You also have the chouce to upgrade the coffee or tea with fruit juice or champagne for an additional fee.

Connect lounge is actually part of the lobby of Marco Polo in the 24th floor. It is a bit noisy since there are other guests checking in and some kids running around the area.

Compared with other afternoon tea restaurants, the portion here is bigger than bite sized. For the sandwiches, you can choose which bread (there were 5 diff flavors), veggies, condiments, cheese and meat. We got parma ham, smoked salmon, shrimp and turkey. They also served 2 scoops of fruity sorbet served in a cool smoking glass.
The cakes and other desserts were just okay except for the choclate souffle with vanilla and chocolate sauce. Its perfectly warm and sweet... yummy!!

Their tea time can be shared by 3 people if they are not super hungry.

Missed having tea time lately and decided to try Marco Polo's Connect Lounge Afternoon Tea with Mark O 128513
As soon as we stepped into the area, I scanned their tea selection and chose Vanilla Rooibos tea. The tea set kicked off with sherbet which I enjoyed, then the tea, followed by the sandwiches, scones and pastries. We were also asked to choose flavors for the baguette sandwich - we had squid ink and parsley. The highlight of the tea set was their chocolate fondant cake but it can also be quite filling 128556 it was oozing with chocolatey goodness and you need to eat it while it's warm 128523128523128523
Overall, I think it's a good deal; especially spending the whole afternoon chatting while seated at the 24th floor of the building. The view we had was also overlooking the metro, so quite some ambience we had there.
I still prefer Bizu's tea set set though when it comes to taste 9996🏻

And I am back looloo! Oh how I've missed thee...hahaha. Trying out placing my reviews via website. Feels good...and yeah, so many backlogs so prepare. Haha. And oh, photos have watermarks c/o my blog. Hihihi

With the sun smiling and the weather just oh-so-fine, time to get some Cozy Afternoon High Tea at the splendid Marco Polo Hotel.

Available from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Marco Polo’s Connect Lounge, diners will definitely have one cozy afternoon here. Perfect tea pairings such as baguette sandwiches, cakes and scones are served along with their delicious tea. In case that isn’t your drink of choice, you may opt for coffee, smoothie, iced tea or even a glass of champagne. Talk about making one comfortable and served well!

We were offered several options for our tea but we opted for something that was light. We were served with their floral tea that had vanilla notes. It was very mild, relaxing and didn’t need any additions. Yes, no milk or sugar on this. It was just good on its own! And don’t get me started on its aroma. It was absolutely fantastic. Ah…having this just makes the afternoon really cozy.

The whole experience from the delectable meals, impeccable service and relaxing environment was just top-notch. It is a well-deserved PhP 788 fee. So if you want to experience this sophisticated high, grab a friend along and have one cozy afternoon high tea.128521

Afternoon Tea at Connect Lounge, Marco Polo Ortigas for Php 788, good for 2 persons. Sounds good? Yes, it definitely is!

Their Afternoon Tea is composed of:
Sherbet of the Day
Your choice of specially made baguette and toppings (4 open-faced sandwiches)
English scones with strawberry jam and heavy cream
Pastries of the Day
Chocolate Soufflé
Your choice of tea or brewed coffee (also upgradable to a glass of champagne - for an additional fee!)

I suggest you email or call them for reservations prior to coming so you'd get a table with a nice view overlooking Ortigas. Upon arriving, we were immediately seated and the service was awesome! The hotel staff were very friendly and attentive.

I absolutely loved their afternoon tea set! We were first served green tea (for me) and brewed coffee (for the bf). Next was the tea set, it was served on a three-tiered tea tray. (okay, that one makes for a good tongue-twister, heh!) 128514 The open-faced sandwiches were my favorites! It's savory and full of flavor. What's interesting is that they have 5 flavors of baguettes: corn, squid ink, parsely, tomato and plain. The pastries and sweets were also TDF! I loved the dark chocolate mousse with strawberry on top. 10084

Some bites later, the sherbet was served. We had mango and watermelon sherbet. It was too sweet for me but I guess it was okay for the bf. Last was the chocolate soufflé which was the "highlight" of the afternoon tea set as per our server. It comes with vanilla and chocolate sauce. I loved the softness and richness of the soufflé, the gooey center is just ooh la la. 10084128513

At first glance the tea set might look like it won't fill you up but it definitely will! Do not underestimate it's delicate presentation 'cos once you've finished everything it feels like you've had one full meal! We also ordered watermelon smoothie (ala carte) for a whopping Php 300! I mean srsly, I'm in no ways stingy when it comes to food, but Php 300 for a glass of smoothie is kinda expensive for me.

So... 4 stars for the fancy and affordable afternoon tea set, impeccable service and an overall amazing afternoon! 10084
