Nice view and the breakfast selection is not as many as the one at cucina, the afternoon tea - finger sandwich and some pastries. You pay for the view and exclusivity here.

Forgot to review this place for breakfast...

We ate here during our stay last December... It's their business lounge of sorts... It's not the traditional huge buffet with overwhelming amounts of food... This place has more controlled portions with fewer people, thus the food tastes better!128077 You can order pancakes or muesli, so they serve it fresh... Or you can choose to sample the spread in their buffet... They serve up a wide range of dishes, addressing international preferences for breakfast- healthy, vegan, continental, American, Japanese, Filipino and Chinese... There are just fewer choices per "genre" compared to the typical big hotel breakfast...

But actually, IMO, the food choices were more than sufficient for a heavy and hearty breakfast... I'm pretty happy with our decision to avail of the Continental Club perks during our stay...128522

Cocktail hour was a different story here... 127864127865127863

We thought we would be having something really light, since it's all about canapés... If we still wanted to eat, we would get something from the cafe downstairs... But when we got to CC, we were surprised to see that all available countertops had food on top!128513 yup, they were all in mini size, their take on finger foods...

There were so many choices-- great cheese platter, salmon, prosciutto, salami, soup, congee, salads to start you off... There were quiches, lovely mini sandwiches like monte cristo, sliders, dimsum and sausages!128077 plus, they also serve dessert! So if you do decide to avail of the CC perks, their cocktail hour is actually good for dinner already, with unlimited wine/beer to boot!128076

Over the course of our very short stay in Marco Polo, we actually ate in Continental Club 3 different times... And no, it wasn't because it's our favorite...128540 But we really just wanted to stay inside the hotel and they had a promo for Continental Club at the time...

Your stay at Marco Polo doesn't automatically include buffet breakfast... For P2500/head, you can enjoy afternoon tea, cocktails with canapés, and breakfast the next day... It also comes with complementary use of the library, board room, laundry/pressing of one blouse, shoeshine service, and the usual perks inside the hotel... Their promo at the time was that it's P2500 for two people already...128077

So we headed up to the 44th floor at about 4pm... We were immediately seated and asked about our tea or coffee preferences... We both chose our teas and headed over to the serving counter... We were a bit confused-- was it buffet style or sit down? But we finally figured out that we were supposed to get our food from the counter... They had several kinds of mini sandwiches and small cakes available-- most of which were good... I loved the scones (Brit style) with jam and clotted cream... Nothing too fancy, very light and perfect for the afternoon...128522
