I was eyeing them to supply the cake for my son's baptism so I thought of dropping by their cafe and try their cakes first. Kaso, when I went there, wala nang sliced cakes 128530 so I ended up ordering their Creamy Frutti de Mare (P170) as snack.

For its price, this dish is good. Very generous with the variety of seafoods in the dish. I've tasted better similar pasta dishes but way more expensive than this. And I've tried more expensive seafood pastas elsewhere na clams or tahong lang ang seafood, so Corner Cafe's seafood pasta is bang for the buck.

We always see this place whenever we drive through Calumpang going to Marcos Highway but never got the chance of dining there because we thought there were no parking space available. (There was a gated parking area in the back.) When my Marikina friends suggested we visit this next we immediately planned it since it's just a short walk from their condo.

The place is cozy and during our stay there around lunch time, there were only 3 tables occupied, ours included. My friend said that most of its diners come in at night. Makes sense, it has a laid back feel to it minus the comfy chairs. The staff are very accommodating and looks friendly. We ordered:

T-Bone steak - 11088110881108811088️ - amiga #1 ordered this with mashed potato. She didn't like the potato but the steak was really good.

Salpicao - 1108811088110881108811088️ - I would have ordered this if I didn't eat sinangag for breakfast. The beef is very tender and flavorful.

Creamy dory - 11088110881108811088️ - it looks bland in the photo but it's very light. The sauce reminds of me of crab and corn soup.

Pesto with parmesan fish fillet 11088110881108811088️ - it's a bit weird to have creamy pesto but it worked for this pasta. I do miss the distinctive pesto taste though.

Nachos and banana split for dessert 1108811088110881108811088️ odd combination but we were craving for it haha!

The famous "Litson cake" and I finally met last Sunday evening at Corner Cafe. Corner cafe was owned by the famous Chef Jun Florendo. He opened his baking school in Marikina and it's called Nothing But C where he offers baking and decorating classes and was 100% hands on. He was awarded as the best baking and cake decorating school in Marikina and was the only maker of this original Lechon cake which comes up with three sizes. The mini cost 1t then medium 1,500 and the large is 3t.

Now Chef Jun opened also his cafe which is called the Corner Cafe located at #34 I.S Senga st. corner M.H. Del Pilar st. Calumpang Marikina. Obviously you know now how they get the name Corner Cafe because this cafe was located on the corner of this two streets in Marikina.

We usually passed by here every time we go to SM Marikina. Don't judge the book by its cover. The cafe was just an ordinary cafe from the outside but inside it is simple yet very homey.

So last Sunday, hubby and I were celebrating our monthsarry as bf/gf husband/wife . FYI, Tatlo ang anniversary,128540 we were supposed to go to Cafe Lidia but we got lost so it's really a destiny that finally we were able to try it. Were so curious about it.

We were seated near the ac and the piano. It's quite cold there. On the other table I saw Chef Jun talking to his visitors, happy to see him in person , actually were friends in Facebook 128540

The waitress has this smiling face and suggest their best seller. Hubby chose the Dory to the extreme while me and the kids go for Roast beef. All comes up with rice and ice tea and price is 200 pesos per meal.

My husband has a high standard in terms of food but he really enjoyed his meal. Proof??? Nag extra rice 127834 I tried tasting it and it really has extreme taste . The dory is soft but pull out its sticks to breading so you can eat it nicely. The cream sauce compliments the dory and the veggies 128077 Our roast beef was also a winner, six pcs of tender roast beef with veggies and extra separate sauce. Nakadalawang rice din ako.

This cafe deserves to be known not only in Marikina, we wasn't expecting this simple cafe can serve you a delicious and affordable food. Service was fast too128077127860

The Japanese-sounding named fish burger wasn't what I expected.

The patty was big enough-- Palm size.
But the sauce was too little. And it would've been fine... If not for the oily taste the fish party left on my tongue. 128531

Cost: 150-180, I think? I'm not sure.

I wanna try their pesto pasta next time. My friends seemed to enjoy that. I think it's their affordable/reasonable price points that make people come back despite some dissatisfying choices.

Their food, though not to-die-for, are quite good espcially for their price. Their cakes are a lot cheaper than nearby cafes. Their staff are also very accomodating. If you're looking for a place to dine with not much customer, this is one of te best place in Marikina.

I always pass by this place but only ate there yesterday and I loved it. I recommend getting anything with cream dory. Di ko inexpect na madami yung nacho appetizer (but I ain't complaininggg) Pesto pasta was good as well.

Would go back for their cakes coz i hear masarap din cakes nila. Medyo hidden siya and not well known (yet) but good for me since 5minute walk from my house hehe 128516

First of all this is my first time I ate here. The girl said that the food that I ordered (roast beef) is one of their specialty next to T-Bone. I think she said that it was their specialty because those 2 are the most expensive meals they have (without drinks). I disliked the serving as well as how it tasted. As the saying goes "pag walang tao sa restaurant, hindi masarap ang food" which is proven time and again with this place. We came in without anyone inside except the waitresses, tables, chairs etc., but no people. The place is cozy i guess but with regarda to food, disliked it a lot. Stay away people.
