My usual here at Country Style - bagels with butter and fresh brewed coffee on a lazy Monday afternoon. No other shop does bagels like Country Style. Soft, buttery on the inside, crunchy on the outside. Country Style's fresh brewed coffee is still one of the most consistent out there in terms of taste.

I felt like I just have to post this first before my other backlogs. Grrr. Will never buy at this branch again!
I ordered a chicken mortadella sandwich for lunch earlier. I was the watching the girl prepare my sandwich and noticed that the lettuce didn't look fresh, but deadma lang. I thought it was just the edges that were brown. As I unwrap the sandwich, I saw a small insect crawling. I removed the top bread and tadaaaa... I saw the lettuce which was obviously old and wilted! There were even some parts which were kinda slimy. Yuck!!
I immediately went to the counter to have it replaced. Beng, the team leader, got the sandwich, put on her gloves and started to remove the lettuce. Uggh wait!! I asked of she won't replace it with a new sandwich, she said no. They don't have any chicken mortadella left. WTF! Are you serious?? Medyo nagdadabog pa sya nyan and I was just trying to keep my cool. I insisted she make a new one. I asked for ham sandwich instead and told her not to put lettuce coz I saw that the bag of lettuce she got from the fridge looked rotten too.
I only took a photo after I unwrapped the sandwich... But yeah, you can already see the edges of the lettuce and those green stuff on the wrapper. I should've taken one when I removed the top bread. It looked gross.
I wonder if these guys even care about food standards...
