I've been to a lot of Boardgame Restaurants already so my expectations when it comes to Boardgame Cafes are really high.

I work near Lasalle area so I decided to drop by this newly opened Boardgame Restaurant today. The locations is quite strategic, it's located on a Ground Floor of a building; You'll barely see it medyo kulang sila sa ads and notice outside the area so hindi siya mabilis makita. Walang signs or anything.

Went there at around 8pm dinner time on a Monday and surprisingly there were few people. Whenever I go to Boardgame places it's usually jampacked so I was happy it didn't become hard for us to find a seat. Though not all the aircons were opened so medyo naitian kami, considering dalawa lang kami naglalaro before another friend came.

Anyway, the interior is nice. I forgot to take a photo of it but they have white brick walls and their fancy looking brain logo with a colorful font. I like the idea on how they wanted it to look fun.

As a boardgamer, napansin ko this place is more for the newbie gamers and party gamers. They have few games for serious gamers or yung mga talagang pro na. When I checked their collection mostly yung popular games yung nandun.

INSIDER TIP: If you don't want to dine here you can just pay a P50 gaming fee. There's a required 1 order per person though.

127831 GARLIC PARMESAN WINGS (4pcs) P168
Wings toasted in buttery garlic-parmesan goodness
*Part of the Cranium Combos served with 1 rice, 1 side and drink
I chose the mac & cheese for the side and Iced Tea for the drink

Para sakin, this is the most SULIT food I ordered from their menu. Kung student ka studying in Taft area super mabubusog kana and masarap siya for P168. Blunt nga lang yung Iced tea pero masarap yung chicken. 128539

Fried Potato balls oozing with cheese inside
- Nothing really surprising about this food. Normal lang. May hint lang yung lasa nung cheese kaya sana they didn't put the "oozing" adjective kasi hinanap ko talaga siya, instead bits of cheese lang pala 128541

Battered and deep fried Oreos Topped with Whipped Cream
- This disappointed me a lot. Sorry for being to biased cause I was craving for the Wicked Oreos in Flaming Wings. Apparently, their oreos are obviously not oreos. Hi-ro yata or ibang brand na medyo dry. Then instead of ice cream, they included sweetened whipped cream that easily melted.
Naubos ko naman pero I believe they can improve on this pa.

Okay naman. It's a slushed dalandan drink, period. Nothing special 128524

Overall, We still enjoyed our short stay here. Di ko lang naenjoy yung food and I hope they will improve it, when you are already a boardgamer kahit saan ka maglaro at kahit anong kainin mo, you'll definitely enjoy it.

I feel jealous for students in Taft cause a few years ago wala pang mga ganitong establishments, but now nagbooboom na talaga yung different kinds of restaurants around the area making it a more exciting place to visit once in a while 128522128525

Value for money is so so, para sakin they can offer better food para sa P150 ko.

There's a new board game place...and it's near Taft! 128522

I was searching for stuff to do one day when we stumbled upon this board game restaurant, hidden to the side of the University Place. The area is pretty small, with only a few tables and a big shelf of board games on one wall. There's also poor signal reception in the area huhuhu.

On the menu, they offer rice meals, snacks, desserts and drinks, mostly in the 150+ peso range. People who want to stay and play have to order either one food or drink each. However, you can also still play for a fee of 50 pesos, which I think is a pretty good deal. 128077

I ordered one of their milkshakes which was a vanilla one and it was topped with sprinkles and whipped cream, half a poptart and a rainbow gummy candy 🦄 haha. It tasted pretty good, not too sweet surprisingly. Love that they try to make their milkshakes all ~fancy~ haha.

We also got their nuggets which was served with gravy. I think that dish was pretty expensive, but meh.

As for the games, they have a pretty good selection and that's what I came for anyway. 128522

Staff are nice and accommodating plus they have a game master to answer your queries and help you out with game choosing, etc.

They're open Mondays to Saturdays 11 AM to 11 PM if you'd want to drop by and check them out.
