One of the recommended and best restaurants I had been. They served luscious Filipino dishes that you will surely love. Plus the place is very relaxing and perfect for family gathering and get together. A+ for the good food and happy service. 9786128149 P.s. Binagoongan ni Pia was one of the bests. Will definitely come back. 128079🍽127860127861127874127856

Crisostomo known for its authentic/modern Filipino dishes. The place is always packed during lunch & dinner. The ambiance was great, really homey feel to it. The staffs were very accomodating & friendly. Very fast service, we didn't have to wait too long for our orders. It was kinda pricey but the food really met with my standards. The servings are good for sharing. I can say that this is one of the best Filipino restos I've been to. I would recommend the place to my balikbayan friends. The taste of their food were very consistent.

MUST TRY: Maria Elena, Escolta, Sisig Linares, Sinigang Burgos

Cute servers for the first 20 minutes then the reality will hit you--ay, okay. First time to try a magarang Filipino restawran and maganda ang presentation ng bangus belly. Masarap naman (pero masarap naman talaga ang bangus belly, di ba, si nothing exceptional). First time to try baby squid and I think may mas masarap pa na ganun sa Manila, kaso di ko nga lang alam kung saan.

Children dictate holidays and that's not so bad because their decisions sometimes surprise you. Filipino food was what Annika wanted but guess what? She wanted filipino food in ihop. Sorry, kid, that ain't gonna work. Grown-ups decided to hit Crisostomo for dinner. How apt because it was also Independence day! Mabuhay ang Pilipinas at ang Pilipino! Contrary to my first review, i don't think i'm reviewing in my native language.

We were starving so we made sure we were going to feast tonight. Dressed in our indio attire (southern shorts and tsinelas vibe) as we were not prepared to eat out, we knew that we were going to be very comfortable. True enough, we spotted several friends already, if we had more table space, the fiesta would be on and we would have invited them to sit with us for dinner.

Orders were deadly, sinful and massive. I love how Crisostomo renames their food. As to how accurate, i may have to verify with a historian.

128073🏾 Mi Ultimo Felicidad - a bandehado of different kinds of chicharon - bulaklak (that looks like oyster mushrooms, btw), bituka (my version of pinoy popcorn), and balat ng manok.

128073🏾 Calamares ni Tales for the kids

128073🏾 Don Rafael is their crispy pata. My favorite Filipino dish, I never say No to and pray that i don't need to say no to.

128073🏾 Bolas de Fuego, Crisostomo's take on the local fish and squid balls. Sauces were tasty sans the fear of getting hepa B.

128073🏾 Sinuglaw Tarsillo is Kilawin. It tasted better in my head or I could have made a mistake of confusing this Kilawin with that of Makati Shangri-la's. I found the pork too cooked but the other parts OK.

128073🏾 La Paz Bulalo soup for everyone. I knew i needed it because my tonsils were fuming.

128073🏾 Noli Me Talong, was my dad's choice and

128073🏾 Maria Elena, a bed of kang kong with a few pieces of fried liempo

128073🏾 There were a few orders of sago't gulaman and i ordered a pot of salabat to soothe my throat and tonsils. It may have gotten worse, btw.

Service is fast and waiter, Lucas, was accommodating given that we had 3 senior citizens, 1 PWD, two children and the rest prolly had mental illnesses you couldn't detect. 128513 manager also was very courteous and accommodating, i forgot her name though.

Going back is definitely in order but i hope to try all their other food!! You know, if my tonsils were not just acting up, i would have ordered one of a lot on the menu. Tsk!

Crisostomo has always been my family's go-to place whenever we crave for Filipino dishes while in ATC. Service is always courteous and prompt. Dishes are always flavorful. I also love their Protacio's Pride (baked NZ mussels with garlic & cheese) and Escolta (pancit canton with meat, seafood & quail eggs) 128077128156

They serve really good Filipino food 128522 Menu & servers are named after characters in Rizal's books. Service in this resto is great. They even gave us a souvenir photo after our meal, which is a pleasant surprise since we dined with our balikbayan relative 128077

Dishes I've tried:
Protacio's pride (baked new zealand mussels) - 5 stars
Joaquin (sizzling beef bulalo with mushroom gravy) - 5 stars
Escolta (pancit canton -- tasted a bit like chopsuey though) - 5 stars
Don Rafael (crispy pata) - 4 stars
Calamares ni Tales - 4 stars

If you like a Filipino cuisine restaurant that is a little modern if I may say, this is the place to eat in. Although their food is not that phenomenal, but if you came from another country and you miss the food from home, this one's okay already.

For easier reference, try the ones with the pictures on the menu, you won't go wrong with it.

Craving for some Ginataang Kuhol since Sunday, hubby decided to take me out last night and search for a resto that serves one. We turned our |ooloo radar on and scanned ATC with Filipino Restaurants. Crisostomo came up. We went there right away and checked their menu - jackpot!

We were attended to right away and as we made our orders, one was not available. Horrible. We changed it and waited. We got the following ---

Caracol - this was good! Ginataang Kuhol served with Kangkong. Not a popular dish among the younger generation, this dish was something I used to have as a child back in my province. The Gata was so good - thick and flavorful with lotsa ginger! It was a little spicy too. The slugs 128513 were clean, not smelly and didn't have any funny taste. I enjoy the challenge that eating this dish brings about. Get your stick, make sure that it's stuck into the end of the snail that's peeping out of the shell and then pull! The tiny meat will leave you wanting for more! Yay! Sarap!

Mais Ala Sibyla - another dish that I grew up with. Suam na mais with shrimps and moringa leaves. I was quite disappointed with this. The soup was tasty and bursting with shrimp goodness but then they used Japanese sweetcorn which didn't have the creamy texture that native corns would give to the soup. The shrimps were huge though and an order has exactly three of them 128563

Then for dessert, we got Isabel. Too expensive for what it has. Two thin sticks of leche flan wrapped in lumpia wrapper, vanilla ice cream and about 5 more small cubes of leche flan for garnishing together with a cherry. Nothing special. The lecehe flan was not as good as I expected it to be. 128532

Overall, it was just the Caracol that I liked. Service was a little slow and the servers were busy watching those people walking pass the store LOL 128548

It was my Mom's birthday and our first time to try Crisostomo. The vibe of the place was okay, nothing more than the usual, it has this ancient filipino vibe into it, the spanish era. We ordered Crispy pata, which I think was good, it has this crispy skin with garlic bits on it and moist meat on the inside. We also tried their Paella Negra which I truly love by the way, they put a drizzle of mayo, a bit of pineapple chunks, and cubes of cheese which I would guess is kesong puti? It really blends well with the squid ink and rice! It cuts through the full and bold flavor of the paella. However, I wasn't really amazed with their Pancit, in my opinion it's just too ordinary and pricey for that matter. While their Grilled Tuna is just great! It has a balance of sweet soy flavor and the freshness of the fish, that I think is just right and not overpowering. I prefer fish dishes which I can still taste it's real flavor not just the marinade or sauce. We also tried their Adobo Rice, it was okay, but I think their way of preparing adobo by adding a bit more vinegar than the usual. Because it tastes a bit sour for me. All in all my experience here was good, you just have to have at least a good amount of money in your pocket, they're not that cheap when it comes to prices by the way. 128540 I'm looking forward to try their Baked Oysters soon!
