Nothing feels like being at home. That was what Crisostomo made us feel when we visited their store in UPTC.

We ordered Sinigang Gomez, Kare-Kare ng Kura and Adobo Rice. After that we had suman for dessert.

What's special in this place is the ambiance itself. They are taking you back to the time when Noli Me Tangere happened. Hence, the names of their dishes are based on Rizal's great novels. I really loved their concept. We even played a game to try not speaking in English, and speak in Filipino throughout our dinner. HAHAHA
Growing up in Pampanga, I consider myself to have high standards when it comes to Filipino cuisine. Crisostomo did not disappoint. The chocolate dip for their suman was the best for me! I recommend Iday - Suman with Batangas Tsokolate.

However, their food is a bit pricey. One pot of Kare-kare costs around 495 pesos. It is meant for sharing though. Their service was great. We waited only for few minutes.

Dine here of you become tired of foreign food!

Had lunch here with the family last weekend. The place was packed, but luckily, there were still seats outside. It was along the area where people stroll around so passers-by can freely observe us and our eating habits (haha), but "dedmabels"--as I would put it 128513

We ordered their Pinoy Paella, Bagumbayan Lechon, Sinang con Laing plus an extra rice (which apparently was not enough, as my dad and brother eventually still ordered another cup). Everything tasted delicious, plus our orders complemented each other. My favorite was the paella. I'm honestly not fond of this dish, but I'm now a certified convert. The rice itself was so flavorful that it could be a stand-alone meal; the shrimp, eggs, meat, chorizo were a flavorful plus!

Staff were also very attentive. The restaurant was full but they never failed to refill our glasses with water. They were also quick to respond when we requested for something (ie., additional sauce, etc).

Overall, would love to eat here again. Crisostomo was absolutely another awesome discovery of the family 128522

Loved the dinuguan and hated the sinigang with watermelon. Too pricey as well.

Missed you, Looloo! 128517128557

Crisostomo is our go-to place for comfort food when we're too lazy to venture into the new places in UPTC. Chef Florabel never disappoints! My favorites are the adobo Damaso, lengua sisig, and sinigang na hipon. All the dishes are perfect and require A LOT of rice. Therefore, it's impossible to come here on a diet. Hahaha! 128547128547128547

Also try their suman sa latik dipped in tsokolate eh!! One of my favorites from Florabel's GB restaurant Felix finally brought closer to home 128077🏼

Molo soup, lechon kare kare, and grilled tuna belly in photo. The kare kare would be your safest bet out of the three. Servings are for sharing, guessing 3-4. Too pricey though!
