My new Facebook winning from Crioque Bakery and Cafe127881

My 5th stop and the last stop of my Makati Foodtrip yesterday. After lunch at Bondi and Bourke I went straight to Croque located at G/F Dominion Building ,833 A Arnaiz Ave Makati.

It is bakery cafe that served European Comfort food. The place was nice and peaceful. A lot of fresh breads, pastries and cakes to choose from,

They gave me a free coffee and New York Cheesecake. Cakes tasted good 128077 Staffs are accommodating too.

Hope I could win a Looloo contest already coz I've never won any , wishing and praying. HUGOT128540

The coffee today is amazing! Such a subtle brew but very tasty! Paired with a coffee bun, I'm a happy camper :)

This was their supposed Croque Madame. It wasn't my order, but I felt so much for my colleague that I had to write on her behalf.

This meal was poorly done. Very disappointing. I've had their Croque Madame before, and it wasn't close to this. I felt cheated for my friend, and she wasn't happy as well.

I've never seen brown béchamel sauce served in a quality restaurant before (I'm sure there was burned butter in there somewhere). And that egg! A disgrace.

I hope something is done about this. I know they're usually good - my order was. But this little mishap left a mark on my friend whose first time it was to try what you'd think would be their specialty.

I passed by Croque after dinner, thinking I'd have some of their dessert. I ordered the chocolate cake (php155) to go, and savoured this baby at home. The chocolate cake was pretty good, melt in your mouth chocolate goodness that makes you compulsively eat another bite then another then another... Until the whole thing is gone.

Curious to try their main dishes so I'll definitely come back.

A French restaurant sprinkled with European fare, Croque presents itself as a worldly alternative to the Asian-themed eateries that have inundated the metro.

✅ Bangers and Mash (P280)
Potato Purée, Saucisson Vaudoise, Vegetables, Pork Gravy

Seeing this all-day entree on their menu brought back good memories of a bistro that I used to frequent in the early 2000s. So nostalgia was the deciding factor for this order.

As the plate was set down in front of me, it proved to be a strange sight. Instead of a sophisticated European dish, I felt that I had received some sort of overpriced bar chow, only not served on a sizzling plate.

The "saucisson vaudoise" was sliced, sautéed and topped off with a pork gravy.

The preparation was unnecessary and the result was underwhelming.

Honestly, it would have been better had it been served whole and untouched. As it was served in the past, based on photos on the interwebs.

This eatup, by the way, was brought to you by the letter #teamclingy and the number #nobaonwednesday

Their pastries are all good! Its fresh, soft and affordable. I almost tried all their pastries here and my favorites are:

Choco bun (in the photo)- love the dough and how it bursts with chocolate filling in every bite.

Coffee bun- I think this is the most delicious coffee bun I've ever tasted. Tinalo ang Kopiroti 128513

Nutella Boat- for all Nutella lovers you have to try this. Medyo mahal lang pero sulit kasi hindi tinipid sa Nutella ang filling.

Since we love this place.. My husband and I decided to make Croque the venue for our Baby Winter's dedication this December12811810052️ I hope it will be a memorable experience for all our guests.

We love this place so much we started a tab. Seriously. I just sign my name now when I order anything. Plus the staff are all so friendly.

My staple coffee run in the morning and in the afternoons when I need that extra burst of caffeine push for work.

I just wish they had sleeves for their take out cups. Or maybe I should just leave my mug there! Haha

This place I believe makes the best kopi buns ever. I usually go here every morning to get whatever's available on their pastry shelf because their pastries are so good.

But this review I'll dedicate to their Salted Caramel and Ganache cake. It is probably now my favorite chocolate cake. Dense and moist. I'm not much of a salted caramel fan but this time it made the cake even better.

Take a bite, have a sip of coffee, oh what a wonderful day.

First time. We had their Silog Medley for breakfast. Tocino, tapa, fried rice, fried egg, lettuce and radish na parang side dish. Infairness, masarap sya. Swabe ang tocino. Walang sabit. Ngayon ko lang din naenjoy ang sibuyas dahil di ako nakain nun maliban na lang sa bistek. Haha! May appetizer pang pandesal with sour cream. Masarap! Mainit pa. 128077128077128077128076128076128076

Friends make for a lovely lunch. Thanks to Neil R who picked me and Chichi T up from work! We saw early bird Zia M with a huge smile on her face! Followed shortly by Julie J, Carla M and Kirby G. After proper observation, i found the place quaint and well-decorated. We all placed orders, and as i cannot resist pasta, ordered the pasta al funghi. We were shortly joined by Russel F and Eunice S and we discovered the noise that nine people can make!

Julie and i ordered the same dish. It was nothing spectacular but was definitely filling. It must have been the egg that did it. I did notice when i chewed my food that there a few bits of rock salt. Hmmm, they reminded me of pop rocks. It didn't alter my perception of the dish which was so-so. I looks like they serve quite a range of wine and beer. Perhaps it would be better to try dining here for dinner than lunch. Croque also offers executive lunch specials for less than P500, didn't remember what it included, though.

Parking is found on benavidez street and i think we were lucky to find a spot. It's still a walkable distance except when you're in heels and rushing back to work, right Chichi T? I'd maybe recommend the place but wouldn't come back for a while.

Had another eatup with the #clingy bunch! Carla M Julie J Eunice S Zia M Chichi T Yina M Neil R Russel F was really great seeing you guys again, feeling ko ulit ang ingay natin sobra specially being seated next to 2 Japanese businessmen lol.

This is a small cafe located along the busy streets of Pasay rd. They have pastas, steaks, and they also serve wine (utol JP G pwede ka dito). The place had a homey relaxing feel and you definitely get more relaxed the more you spend time inside or it could be just the group I was with #sipsiptothemax

I got the chicken cordon bleu, or atleast it's healthier cousin. It was a bit different, there was no cheese, or atleast it wasn't drowning in it like what I'm used to. The weird thing though is that I liked this healthier variant. Enjoyed the flavor, chicken wasn't dry and was cooked properly, I definitely enjoyed my meal. Price range was around P300+ (P400+ daw according to Julie), service was attentive enough.

I'm the early bird for our Mini Lunch Eat Up, for this uber clingy |ooloo peeps! 128517

I had Three cheese Ravioli, same with Chichi T. and I was surprised how small it is. 128517 Hindi makakarating sa tyan ko to, hanggang esophagus lang. But it had me at first bite, I like it! 128523 Mine wasn't too salty, although Chi said that she tasted a rock salt128514 Mine was just perfect. We tried sprinkling it with chili flakes and it was good! 128523

So I got full by Eunice S's lasagna. To the rescue with Kirby G. 128514 Whew!

Until we meet again guise, Neil R Yina M Carla M Julie J Russel F! 1285269996

If there's a will, there's a way! I made it to the unofficial eat-up today even if the cabbie duped me with P100 short on my change. Huhuhu!

This is such a quaint little place at the corner of Pasay Rd. From the outside, I knew that it has got to have nice interior too. I was right!

I got myself a spinach meat lasagna. I thought the spinach was squeezed somewhere between the sheets of lasagna but apparently it was just a side. The serving was quite huuuuuge I had to "call a friend" to finish it up. Thanks Zia M and Kirby G! I wasn't quite amazed with the taste which was sad since the plate costs P320 bucks.

Nice seeing you again guys! Til next time!

Mid-week mini eatup 128513 I knew the self imposed 3 week break was just BS! 128514 Right!?? Yina M Neil R Chichi T Carla M Eunice S Zia M Kirby G Russel F

This quaint little restaurant is fairly new... loved the homey feel of the place and the service was good..

Had the Pasta Al Funghi P345 -- Fresh Shitake mushrooms, egg, Enoki mushrooms -- It was really tasty and the serving was generous, midway through I got sort of umay from the olive oil and cream 128513 Had to bring the rest for meryenda...

Hooray for the last #TeamClingy eatup before the official "3-week breakup". We decided to have the last round during lunchtime para maiba naman. The downside is, it wasn't that accessible from my workplace in Rockwell, Makati; but it's okay though. 128513128513128513

I got the Braised beef shortribs for PHP480.00. It has the beef shortribs that were tenderized to perfection (fall-of-the-bone goodness); smooth and creamy potato purée and frenchbeans (as of Chef Kirby G) that were cooked just right. I really can't conceive that it satisfied me since I normally eat rice for lunch. Not bad for its price due to its quality and taste.

I've also tried Julie's pasta and thought it was good. I said that the pasta itself was already good. Kirby's chicken cordon bleu was a bit different from the usual but still good. Eunice's lasagna was okay for me. #TikimanHits

Their place was fancy and overall good. Their staff had been attentive and courteous all the time.

Till our next gastronomic quest - Yina M, Chichi T, Julie J, Carla M, Eunice S, Zia M, Neil R & Kirby G! 128522
