I had the best 24 hours staycation with the family last month! First time here to celebrate niece Iah's Birthday! Thank you!!!

The room that we rented for a day was superb!!! First class Hotel room with white towels, beddings and duvet! Perfect for a very cold Tagaytay weather!
P8k for a group of 7 like us. The owner Viv, was very nice (sent her daughter) that they went there on our arrival to meet us!

They have provided Board games and DVDs are available in the room! Itmade us stay indoors all night hahaha! Hindi naman, we went to Starbucks Tagaytay late at night to have a hot cup of coffee! 128525

Swimming pool, Gym and Parking lot were all inclusive of the rent. We also enjoyed touring in the Crosswinds Village that looks like Baguio/Switzerland because it has a Swiss feel like what they did sa look ng mga house and trees everywhere around.

It was really a nice place to spend your weekend. The view, the ambiance the pool... If you don't have a car with you just make sure to bring everything you need. Because groceries and convenience stores are not very accessible. Their rooms are so comfy and provided w/ everything that you need. Their pool is open from 8am to 5pm. They also have free breakfast buffet which is not bad. We really enjoyed our stay in here. We'll definitely go back.

R and I usually visit Tagaytay for some quick weekend escapade. But since the Tagaytay traffic is at times as crazy as the one we have here in Manila, we would usually just stay in his rest house in Crosswinds and watch our series like Vikings, Narcos, Band of Brothers and The Pacific. Nothing beats a lazy weekend while enjoying fresh and cool breeze, warm popcorn, great show and of course the company of your human teddy bear. But one night, we decided to take a walk around the area.

The place was pretty dark as the lamp posts were spaced out. With uneven roads and areas where you could fall and have a serious concussion, I tried to open my small eyes bigger than usual… while enjoying a bottle of wine. (No, I’m not an alcoholic. We were celebrating a milestone that time.)

While walking, we spotted Santa’s House.

It looked a bit eerie at night as we could see nothing but darkness from the window. We lingered a bit here and sat on the hard couch outside and finished our bottle while reminiscing all our adventures together.

Our giggles were cut short though when a stray dog approached us. I loved dogs but this one seemed a bit on the aggressive side. 128021

But thanks to The Dog Whisperer, R was able to exude Alpha vibe and the dog walked away.

After a short while, we decided to walk back to our place.

I had no idea that there are stray dogs here too.

Perfect place for a sweet escape from the busy city life 128540
Nice place with cool temperature. So relaxing 9786128526
What I did not like is the lack of in house restaurant 128517
We should have bought food ingredients. They have complete kitchenwares. 128513 Too bad the Christmas Store was closed due to typhoon. 128542 So lucky to see a lot of dogs. There was a dog competition.128054128041128021

Happy Birthday Katie!

Celebrated her Birthday here a few months ago. Staycation birthday celebration. We didn't have a car going here but the travel was great. They have a shuttle to pick you from and going to the entrance to the hotel. Crosswinds Resorts Suite is a big place, the Switzerland of the Philippines. Lol

The rooms were great. It's simple, clean and homy. It does have kitchen, so we just cooked chicken, pasta and bought a cake for her birthday. The next morning we cooked our breakfast and went go the pool which a bit far from where we stay but they have shuttle naman that will take you going there.

Service was good. Accomodating staff.

Enjoy Switzerland in the Philippines. Crosswinds boasts of its cool, serene and classy ambiance. You will enjoy more of Tagytay weather here. Room prices are quite steep though but such a great getaway!

Good friends. Good life. They say true friends are life's greatest blessings.

We spent our night here for free courtesy of Jake and Isabel to celebrate Isabel's birthday and to have our runcation (run and vacation). Runners will love their very steep trail. Believe me! I had a very hard time running since I'm no good runner. No one will restrict you from walking so i just walked and took some pictures. Lol!

Thank you Jake and Isabel for the wonderful runcation. 128077128077128077

The weather is just terribly hot, so we decided to do a little cool down. We originally wanted to go to the beach, but we planned way too late- most of the hotels/resorts we wanted to stay in were already fully booked (note to self: plan a weekend beach getaway at least a month ahead especially during the summer season!) Not wanting to give up, we settled to go to Tagaytay instead.

We have been there countless times already but we were still pretty excited, considering it was ze li'l munchkin's first out-of-town trip, and we haven't travelled far since last year. It was also a little difficult to find a good place in Tagaytay, but luckily we found an available room to accommodate 4 adults and 2 kids in Crosswinds Resort Suites.

The hotel is located inside a subdivision abundant with pine trees; we felt like we were in Baguio (sans the cold weather- it was pretty warm in Tagaytay). I wouldn't recommend the place for commuters, because it's still around a 5-minute drive from the entrance (although I read from other blogs that they provide shuttle service, but for convenience, bring a car when you plan to check-in).

Another tip, make sure to have everything you need when you check-in because it is not accessible to restaurants (just Cafe Voila and Coffee Bean but you still need a car to go here), groceries and commercial areas in Tagaytay. You can have food delivered, but the restaurants that offer food delivery have early last calls.

The rooms are quite spacious, with Deluxe Rooms having its own kitchen (no dining area though). They also have bigger rooms for bigger families (1BR/2BR suites). I like the interiors too- simple but elegant. The rooms also have an amazing view of nature.

Breakfast selection is few, but delectable enough. Staff are very friendly and accommodating. There are nice places to take pictures with inside the premises, and there is also a pool and playground (but you still need to drive to get there).

One major downside during our stay was when the elevator broke down and we had to use the stairs. That would've been fine, but our room was at the 4th floor, and my sister-in-law is pregnant and of course, carrying a 6-month old baby up and down the stairs wasn't easy peasy. Good thing someone assisted us with our luggage upon check-out (pero nakakaawa yung bellboy!) I hope they'll have the elevator fixed ASAP.

Overall, I wouldn't say the experience was amazing, nor did it suck big time. It was an okay stay, and if we really plan to just stay in and be one with nature in our next visit to Tagaytay (as in walang alisan sa room, pure staycation talaga) Crosswinds would be on our priority list.

Last Sunday 12 Apr 15, we had an unplanned travel going to Tagaytay. We first checked the hotel in Tagaytay Higlands but unfortunately all rooms were occupied and the availability will be on the afternoon.

We went back and checked this Crosswinds Resort. Since, we only walked in, the guards at the entrance asked for our ID for security purposes. My partner is not used to this kind of thing, good thing he's more patient. Then we had our badge.

Upon checking the hotel, they have additional fee for early checked in. It's kinda expensive but we don't have a choice. We rested for a bit and then fixed ourselves to visit Taal Lake.

Upon exit, we gave back the badge. When we went back around 17:30, the guards didn't asked for our ID coz we already checked in at the hotel but then again he veriefied it. I like how firm the guards here1285149786

The interior of the hotel is nice. It's small but then its beautifuly arranged and clean.

Around 18:30, someone from the reception rang us. We're so tired to picked the phone. But they just confirmed whats gonna be our breakfast tomorrow morning. Since we're going to leave after dinner, we don't mind that.

We left around 20:00.

Overall theme is Swiss resort. They have several detached homes and buildings. Some are private vacation homes and the rest are for guests. The hotel is at the far end and is 5-storey. We stayed here during an office business planning. We got a suite -with dining & living rooms, kitchen.

Mobile data is weak here, while the hotel wifi sucks! It ranged from very weak to non-existent. Some of us brought a wifi dongle, but was the signal was intermittent.

Accommodations came with buffet breakfast. Limited choices only.

It would've been overall ok if it werent for the very weak mobile, mobile data and hotel wifi signals.

If you like to stay along the quieter side of Tagaytay, head off to Crosswinds Resort. It feels like Christmas all the time in this area! We get so relaxed whenever we head off to Crosswinds. We usually book the 1 bedroom suite because it allows us to cook our own meal. My children liked their swimming pool and they willingly obliged to walk around crosswinds to explore their various chalet inspired houses.

It was so hard finding the hotel part because they lacked signs and the building itself didn't have a hotel sign. And since the property was so big, it was hard to find people whom you can ask directions from. Upon check-in, the staff were helpful and informative. The room was okay, but wasn't maintained as how I pictured it from the photos on the net. Also, they didn't have cable at the time so we had to settle for their dvd collection - which I though was wide but guess again. Got stuck with watching some movies which I never ever heard of. And lastly, maybe because of the location, signal was bad! To top it all off, no wifi in the rooms 128557

Good ambiance but bad customer service. The bldg where we stayed at does not have front desk, only guards. If you need something from housekeeping you need to go down to tell the guards since the intercom in the room doesnt work as well. Pillows, extra towels also have charges. Our sink was also clogged. Will not go back here again!

We just had to get away in the middle of the week! So we took advantage of Crosswinds' weekday promo, which slashes the price of their rooms... I think this is available for the summer months... 128516

So it's our first time here and we got sooooo lost while inside the compound already! There was a major deficiency in the signs and it was difficult to understand those present already... While trying to make our way to the hotel, we took several unexpected detours, ending up at the pool, several houses and back at the coffee shop... It would have been okay to just drive around, but the sun was beating down on us and we had just made it through the traffic due to the fiesta!

Anyway, we made it to the hotel vicinity, but still there was no pronounced entryway or sign to point out where the hotel was... We drove around the block several times... To think we kept asking around! Plus there was no parking! You just have to park on an incline at the side of the road... 128561

We finally found the hotel with the nondescript lobby. The wifi their website claims they have is confined to the lobby only... We were shown to our room, which was decorated in a minimalist fashion... Earth tones all around with the table already set for a meal... Nice beds and pillows!128077 Their bathroom was ok, but the shower head kept veering to the right, making the bathroom floor the target of the water spray! The kitchen had adequate utensils and cooking paraphernalia... They encourage you to cook since it is quite a drive to go out the compound then an even longer drive to go to the city proper... Bring water and any other drinks you may want!!!128522 oh and bring dishwashing liquid since it takes a long time if you ask for extra utensils... (Ours never came, btw).

They then serve breakfast in bed, giving you a choice of several dishes the night prior... The food was ok, nothing special... You just have to entertain yourselves when staying here... They have a pool, which you'll have to drive to from the hotel... It has a small playground beside it for the kids... They also have a shuttle and a Santa house and coffee shop, though we were told that these only operate during Christmas... Well, at least the place has lots of pine trees and was quite peaceful... But we still got lost on the way out. We couldn't decipher the map all that well! 128513

I thought the place was just okay, but I think there are better options for a Tagaytay stay...

I love this place except at night you can hardly see the road and no street lights almost. But it's a perfect getaway.

Sosyalan ang room!!! It's like a condo unit kasi each room has awesome kitchenette.

And if you're looking for a legit escape from work, this is the place to be! Cellular signal is a unstable, and internet connection (both Globe and Smart) is somewhat funny. So, you have a valid excuse not to reply to your boss or anyone in the office. Loljk

The overlooking view is awesome as well. But the silence and stillness of the place is somewhat nakakapraning. A piece of advice: don't watch too much Silent Hill.

We opted to stay here last Valentine's Day before we go to Sonyas. What triggered me to go there is the fully functional kitchen they have. I find it so cool imagining that we can buy groceries and cook our desired food there. 128526

The room itself is pretty huge and nice. Everything is complete! The fully functional kitchen is true aswell. But there's a downside if you're planning to stay at Crosswinds.

First, the 'wifi' that they claimed that they have is not true. Well, they have wifi but ONLY in the lobby. 128544

Second thing is the location itself. It's really far from the main Tagaytay. Located in farthest area of Tagaytay.

The last thing is the stiff road. You CAN'T enjoy the place. If you're planning to jog in the place like me and boyfie planned then it's a bad idea. REALLY. The area is freakinly stiff. It's not the usual stiff road you can see, but this one is outrageous. If you're planning to stroll around or go outside the place, it's imposible for you to go there by means of walking. It's like you're going to climb up a mountain before you can go there.

Actually, a bad idea going there. The room is nice, but the location is a big No No. Are we going to come back??? Naaaah! 128529
