If you haven’t been to Pioneer Street Market in Mandaluyong, I guess it’s about time for you to Waze your way to this place. This food hub showcases a grocery and more than ten food stalls that I’m pretty sure would appeal to all food lovers.

One good reason to go here at Pioneer Street Market is for you to check out Current Swell Coffee Brewery. Here, they use locally-roasted beans, as well as those they have sourced out internationally. If you wanted to try out third wave coffee, then this is the perfect spot for you to go to. Aside from their coffee, they also serve brunch meals and a variety of pastries as well.

The first dish that we had here is their Shakshouka. It is a Middle Eastern dish, with poached eggs, tomato sauce, and cheese. This is, for me, a great appetizer. Try this one out and be sure to dip your bread in it.

Another dish by Current Swell Coffee Brewery that amazed me is their Seoul Bowl. This flavorful bowl of spicy Kimchi rice has this well-seasoned braised pork and pickled cucumber in it. I recommend for everyone to try this out as Current Swell’s Seoul Bowl is a must have!

Current Swell is the first stall you'll see upon entering Pioneer Street Market.  The aroma of freshly brewed coffee is inviting.

I've seen their stall on the other weekend markets I've visited.  This is the first time I'm trying their coffee.

After stuffing our face with Beef Rendang,  Roast Beef and Nasi Goreng.  We needed to drink something hot to calm our full tummies.  Coffee is in order.  Cappuccino for the gentleman and cafe latte for the lady.  The latte is smooth,  creamy packed with coffee punch.  I assume that they dont use sugar as I can taste the coffee flavor.

They need a lil improvement on their latte art skills.  But who needs latte art if the coffee tastes good?
