Plain Roti and Curry for P80 as a side dish to my Makansutra visit. The Roti was pretty good as expected, though the curry dip could have been more flavorful and stronger. The spiciness could have been lower but nonetheless, it was decent.

I finally decided on Curry Flurry to get some Malay specialties. It's so common to see these dishes in Singapore, as the culinary influence of these two neighboring countries on each other is pretty strong. I tried their version of the chicken biryani and got some roti on the side. I'm cray-cray for roti. I just thought the curry itself was okay, but the chicken and the rice were really dry. The roti was pretty oily but still good. I did wish they provided more curry to go with the roti though.

I don't know, overall the experience at Makansutra was just okay. The food can be very expensive, especially if you go trying stuff from stall to stall. Being in a bigger group would be a better strategy here, I think.

Anyway, which stall would you guys recommend here?

I enjoyed my roti and south-indian curry from Curry Flurry. The curry had a depth of flavour which was perfect with the buttery and sweet roti. Would definitely visit again.

Makansutra is a little piece of Singapore here in Manila. Located on the 2nd floor of SM Megamall building A, Makansutra offers fare from Asia that you will traditionally see in the hawker stalls of SG. The food you will get here, whether you like it or not, tastes the way it would from where they originally came from.

Unlike some of the hawker places you may have visited, Makansutra is vibrant, lively and clean. This foodcourt style ‘restaurant’ currently houses at least 11 stalls with each one specializing in a different dish, making sure that we have a wide variety of choices.

So whether you’re feeling nostalgic and just want to get that taste of Singapore, or just want to experience that ‘hawker vibe’, then Makansutra is definitely a place you should visit.

I always wanted to try this place because i'm just so miss Singapore Food, but never have a chance because to go SM Megamall, I really really need to make sure have something on around there too, else, i will need to think thrice hahaha, why? Coz I can't handle the traffic 128518 at Megamall area.

So it's lunch time & heading to Megamall after doing something at surrounding there, and directly heading to Makansutra,

So excited to see so many stall selling the food that i miss, feels like to order all hahah but well tummy have capacity, so decided to order,

127860 Roti Prata (plain) with curry
127859 Oyster Omelette or Oh Luak (chinese name) & (on another review)
🍽 Black Carrot Cake with ikan bilis 128031 (on another review)
127848 Black Gluttionous Rice (Bubur Pulut Hitam) w/ ice cream (on another review)

Waiting for about 10mins, here comes the food,

128077🏻The taste, is so good, the texture of the roti prata so chewy & crispy, dip it with the curry sauce that come with it.
Perfect combination

So if you have time, go try singapore (indian) local cuisine at makansutra,

i will be back to try other food
