Carinderia-style restaurant inside a mall! You can eat everyday Filipino meals in the comfort of an air conditioned place, which probably means cleaner food and cozier dining. If you pine for home cooked meals but are too lazy to cook in your own home or you don't have time to do so, I think this should be the place.

The classic adobo is my all-time favorite food, so I ordered chicken adobo. I expected that they'd serve me adobo from one of their trays at the counter, but it instead they served it straight from the kitchen.

When I first tasted their adobo, the first thing I noticed was that how salty it was. And the taste was kind of ginger-y, so I suspected they served me the wrong kind of adobo, which would turn out to be adobo sa gata. I became a bit testy that I couldn't help asking the server, "adobo ba to?" To which she said it was adobo. Although adobo sa gata is OK, it wasn't the kind of adobo I wanted at the time. But I couldn't help feeling taken aback by its super-saltiness!

Good thing a lady (I guessed she was the head cook) approached me and asked me how was the food. I said it had ginger, to which she confirmed that it was indeed adobo sa gata, para daw maiba naman. Politely, sabi ko ok naman, but I also blurted out to her how salty it was.

I left the restaurant feeling disappointed. Cusina should give their customers exactly what they want. Gusto ko ng adobo lang pero adobo sa gata binigay sakin. I don't care if they want to put a spin on it. And second, my dish seemed as if it could damage my kidney or something. I drank lots of water after that.

Too bad I liked the concept of a carinderia inside a mall, and I also liked the interiors. And I love classic Pinoy food. But at first I wondered, "why just a few customers to none?" e mura din naman pagkain nila. Now I know, it all boils down to their food! Mas masarap pa rin kumain sa Scrapyard kahit di naka-aircon.
