Cyma again with my best friends. Craved for Roka Salata! How did this salad come to perfection? Camille R ordered the angel hair pasta with clams - Greek Clams, and a cube of Spanakopita. She didn't like it though because she expected more cheese, but it had more spinach instead. Rico had the Chicken Kabab (that's not what it's called though) which is so good!

I was initially craving for Itallianis but somehow, we ended up in Cyma. No regrets though because everything was good, as usual.

Family size Roka Salata:
The vinaigrette was sweet and tangy but not overwhelming which gave the other non-leaf ingredients a chance to shine. The tomatoes added some heft to the salad and gave its own sweet/savory flavor. My favorite parts however were the candied walnuts and shavings of Parmesan cheese.

Ripe Mango Yogurt Shake:
Not too sweet and it has the perfect creamy texture. Finished it before my order arrived.

Lamb Burger:
It's a simple burger with onions and a huge block of feta cheese and it was scrumptious. The lamb really shines in this dish. To be noted is their amazing cumin mayo that's perfect with fries of any kind.

I also got a taste of their mahi mahi souvlaki which was grilled to perfection with a little sweetness from the sauce. Definitely ordering that next time.

Roka salata is a personal favorite.

First time trying the chops, and well I've had better (try Bugsy's or Marcia Adams')

Solomos pasta was a bit malansa.

A little high on the price point.. And they were understaffed at Cyma last Sunday lunch so service was hard to catch. So this is 4 stars mainly because of the salad. Otherwise I would've rated it a 3.

Cyma is definitely one of my staple restaurants in Trinoma. I'm usually there with my mom and sister, and we always get the same things every time. We start with the usual Roka Salata, which is one of the first salads I actually enjoyed. When we're extra hungry (like we were that day haha), we get the artichokes/mushrooms on toast (forgot the name). I think my mom was to hungry to think though, and accidentally ordered the artichoke dip. At first glance I expected it to be way too creamy, but it was actually really good! It was a huge serving, too. It also comes with 2 types of bread. For our mains, we got chicken souvlaki and the seafood and chicken Greek paella/youvetsi. We never really eat the souvlaki as a sandwich, but instead as extra meat for the rice. 128514128514 ugh that paella is for sure my favorite dish in Cyma. Thinking back now, I think we ordered a bit too much, but tbh, we ate almost every bite of it except for the bread because #lowcarb LOL.

Until tonight the only Cyma branch that I've ever been to is the one in Greenbelt, being from the South almost my entire life. Well surprise surprise this Cyma is nice and quiet, located on the 4th floor of Trinoma. And the food? The best, as always. Had souvlaki with a side of tzatziki. Now that I live in the area, they'll definitely see me here often.

I had been wanting to try out Greek cuisine, even though I don't know anything about it. There's no harm in asking the waiter for the bestsellers to help you out though, and I believe it's one of the factors that contributed to a great first experience.

127775Roka Salata127775
One of their bestsellers, and I think it deserves the title. It's almost like a meal on itself based on the different flavors and textures it has. The sweetness of the candied walnuts jives well with the saltiness of the parmigiano reggiano and the mild bitterness of the arugula. The Greek vinaigrette balances the whole thing. The solo size is enough for two people already.

127775Solomos127775
Not a fan of salmon, but I enjoyed this one. The first bite was a bit overwhelming for me since you could really taste the tartness of the lime, but the creaminess of the salmon just balances it out (which I think is a good indication of the salmon's freshness). Angel hair pasta was al dente. :)

127775Chicken Gyros127775
We were too full to finish this so we opted to take this home. However, the fries were the ones I didn't like since I could feel the lingering taste of the oil in my mouth. Plus points for the generous serving though.

127775Greek Yogurt (Toppings: chopped Baklava, Pistachios, Strawberries and Rose Petals)127775
This one's a really good way to end your meal. For those who haven't tried Greek yogurt, you might be overwhelmed with its difference in taste and texture with the usual yogurt, but I believe Greek yogurt contains more nutrients? (Not sure which, though. :P) Adding the rose petals seemed to be a good idea since its saccharine taste went well with the yogurt. Don't be fooled with the size though, it's very potent. (And I won't delve into that further. Haha.)

The service was great, despite the fact that it was lunch time and there were a lot of people. It was a bit pricey, but taking into account the amount of servings and the quality of ingredients, you get what you pay for. :) I'd definitely return here to try more Greek food. :)

An old favorite. Usually I will have the salmon pasta but this time out I had the moussaka with veggies on the side. It's really good. You can try the salads and lamb. They are truly enjoyable.

It takes 2 to tango! Indeed! Whenever I visit Cyma, as much as I want to try out some of the other items in their menu, I just keep on ordering the same over and over! (Don't get me wrong I'm not complaining at all!128541) Roka Salata and Solomos Pasta I believe are my comfort food!128524127837127860

Roka Salata's combination of romaine, a few arugula, sun dried tomatoes and candies walnut are by far perfect balance of sweet and salty and tangy, now if only I can figure out how to achieve that dressing!128523128521

Solomos Pasta, or salmon pasta is 10084️! All the oiliness is ok by me, besides I dont eat it everyday! The big chunks of salmon and a few slivered basils and crumbled feta cheese are all I need to comfort me! 127860127860127860128523128523128523

And so...I'm all good for the week!!!128526128526128526

During my visits in Quezon City, I make sure that I make a stop at CYMA before heading back up to Baguio. CYMA has been my go-to establishment for quality lamb dishes. For the past 6 years I've been here in the Philippines, this restaurant hasn't failed me.

My usual orders are, the spinach & artichoke fondue, lamb chops/lamb gyro, and CYMA's cheesecake sorbet if there's any room left in my tummy.

128073🏼Their spinach & artichoke fondue is one of their best selling appetizers. The oozing of the melted cheese, along with the tanginess of sun-dried tomatoes blends magically with their fresh pita triangles or the garlic & butter grilled bread. You can't go wrong ordering this.

128073🏼Have the chefs grill the lamb chops to your liking! I prefer it grilled medium rare. The cuts used are choice cuts, you can tell from the tenderness of the lamb each time you take a bite into it. It's topped off with EVOO to give it a more subtle taste. Add a spritz of lemon, too, for more zing!

The mashed potatoes that comes along with the dish is delicious! It's always velvety and creamy, light to the palate. Topped with EVOO and slivers of fresh Parmesan, makes this side dish extra special.

128073🏼When I'm not THAT hungry, I order their lamb gyro. If you're not familiar with what a gyro is, it's similar to a shawarma, but a million times better!
It comes with bite sizes of lamb, topped with fresh veggies and tzatziki (cucumber and yogurt) sauce wrapped in fresh pita. A true Mediterranean comfort food!

128073🏼There's no way I can describe their cheesecake sorbet. Just the word cheesecake in the name is description in itself. 128540

Only bad thing I can say about CYMA that the hummus they serve is not good. It looks good to the eye, but not so much to the taste buds. It has a cardboard taste that radiates to your nose and lingers for a while.

Overall, I enjoy coming here!

This place is a bit pricy, but well worth it. I also suggest to try their wagyu burger, and have it cooked medium. :)))

Literally every table ordered the Roka Salata when we dined here, so did we of course. 128518 That, along with the baby back ribs, were the most popular dishes of the night. I was feeling a little sick during this visit, so I didn't appreciate everything as much, but even then I couldn't find anything wrong with both orders. The salad had all the lovely texture of crisp greens and nuts, plus the right balance of sweet and sour. The ribs were tender and a bit on the sweet side, although I couldn't taste cinnamon in there. The half slab we ordered was tiny in my opinion, but overall it was a good meal.128076🏼

Cyma directly translates to roka salata. Love that salad.

For this visit, we also tried this dip sampler. I can't believe that we're really full with just a salad and dips, but we really are!

Will definitely be back, maybe for some flaming cheese next time.
