Its a buffet, so I guess it's naturally hard not to like! But not all buffets are created equal! While Dad's is not my #1, it's definitely a good choice and I would recommend it!
They have a wide array of food that you can't possibly gorge on even to a great abandon! It is equal to those great big buffet restaurants that people rave about if only for the choices. They do have a carving station, they have sushi and sashimi, soups and a whole lotta desserts!
If one hasn't got a budget or time, for a bog dinner or lunch - their merienda buffet during mid-afternoon is also a great option. Now this one is something that doesn't require you to rob a bank. It's a good team eating session place especially when you work the early morning shift and have the rest of the day to just wander.

Hubby had a meet up in glorietta 5 so of course I tagged along for the pasyal. Was thinking about where to have dinner and I thought maybe dad's had a birthday promo like sambokojin's (since they are triple V). So I checked online, free buffet three days before and 3 days after the birthday! Yay! Say free!
It's been a couple of years since we've been here. Tbh it needs a major major face-lift, it looks exactly the same since I was in high school! I think the Kamayan buffet is the most complete from soups to sisig and of course the famous dads kare kare. The dads spread was just OK, the mussels weren't fresh 128533 the Saisaki side also included some more Chinese, Thai and Vietnamese dishes. Sad though they don't serve the steak cubes anymore which was my favorite. Just had my FL of tempura, salmon sashimi and fried rice.
It was ok overall, I mean we paid ₱888 for two people so not bad but I don't think I'll pay full price for it 128513

We been here for more than 5x and we love their foods. They offering unlimited juices. We keep on coming back because of their ice cream, which eventually we found out where to buy.

Two buffets this week and two not so good experiences. I guess it really musn't have been my week. 128542

Wow its been almost 2 decades since my last visit!!! But well, sadly Dads now for me was just average at best. I remember Dads used to be THE place for special occasions back in the day - birthdays, graduations, anniversaries, and whatnot. Heck, i celebrated a birthday and my grade school graduation at the old Alabang branch. And i'm sure Dads still is a special place for a lot of folks.

Its just that i didnt feel the same magic i felt all those years ago. The environment is so much different now, or maybe i'm so much different. It was quite crowded and noisy, with kids running around, and people & staff taking up every aisle space getting from the buffet to their tables.

I was about to get myself my 2nd glass of water from one of the stations when i saw that they threw used and dirty spoons on the same tray where the pre-filled water glasses were! It made me second guess if the water there was clean or left overs too. And to think i was directed to get my previous glass of water from there! 128562128560128565. Nevermind. Lemonade or juice nalang. Then when inspecting the lemonade glasses, they had white specks and cracks which again made me second guess if they were clean ones. But i was too parched and thirsty to care anymore, honestly.

The tuna and salmon sashimi didnt taste fresh at all. And the sashimi ornaments were weird! They had carved and meatless/bodyless whole tuna (assuming thats where the sashimi came from) with 2 chopsticks piercing its head. One in the mouth and one in the forehead like this \ /. The other ends of the chopsticks were used to prop up and hold the tuna's tail. With its meatless body semi-spiraling upwards. Uhm, okay. I should've taken a picture but i was too weirded out for it to cross my mind.

The cold Korean-style beansprouts tasted like they've been kept and recycled from the fridge for days. The turkey was waaayyyyy too dry, i almost felt blisters on the walls of my mouth while chewing on the meat.

The roast beef and the lechon belly were the only highlights of what i've had today. Not "wow" good, but good nevertheless. I should've just had 2 plates of those instead. Again i think this whole experience really just comes from a change in direction for Dads. They've become more commercialized over the years and are really just out there to provide quantity and variety. Well, if you're out there to get full and eat dishes from at least 10 different cuisines at once, this one's for you.

100th review!!! 128513128522128074🏽 whuuut?!!

The continuation of "Its my birthday month so I'd probably earn the Big Boss of Buffet badge" 128514128513

So I went here in the middle of the week, and the place was half empty 128522 yey!

It was good because its not crowded, you can take your time and freely move around the buffet line to get what you really want 128523

The sad part was most of the food were either dry or over heated 128529
I guess this is the disadvantage of having a slow turnover of foods...

I tried the buffet crossover which include the Kamayan (filipino)
Dads (international) and saisaki (japanese).

Amongst the 3 I enjoyed kamayan the most! Love their ginataang kuhol and crispy pata and bellychon 128523128513

We just had a company buffet for 25 people in the office who didn't file their leave today...

I was supposed to give 4 stars because of their attentive staffs, but...
✖️ I saw a cockroach in the "kiddie section" corner.
✖️ Salmon sashimi - some slices are fresh, some are not.

Okay, bye. The cockroach tho... Seriously.

Dad's, Kamayan, Saisaki: Crossover Buffet. This one's been running since I could remember. And due to the competitive pricing and food in their category, they manage to somehow keep up with the competition. The crossover now allows you to try food the three stores. My personal favorite is Saisaki still. Their makis are perfect!! Plus, they have the tempura needs too with their big tempuras. Their asian food varies from south east, to eastern and alike. They have the hams, turkey and western food for Dad's, and of course the lechon, bibingka and Filipino known dishes for Kamayan. They also have a variety of fruit shakes to choose from. And, well, they have great desserts. Especially those mini cream puffs. 128521 Big groups get a discount too. This has been a staple buffet in Makati and I guess will always be.

I can say this must be the most romantic celebration of me and hubs Birthday for this year. We usually celebrate our Birthday together though he's 17 days ahead of me. We do it at least before or immediately after my special day.

I am really grateful that Dad's offer a total of seven days free Buffet for celebrants. This time, after a Sunday Mass and thinking I wouldn't have a chance anymore, we walked in Saisaki and try our luck, Fortunately, pwede pa kami maka free dinner that night. Sigh! We paid 888 pesos (meaning parang 444 each lang) and it's soo worth it.

Even though I splurge most on Japanese and Chinese food, and after that mejo busog na, I thought It was still Sulit. Hubs and I enjoyed their free Fruit Shake the most. Seriously it will make you feel bloated agad agad, but deym...ang sarap ng Watermelon shake nila!! Naka lima ata si hubby and two glasses naman ako.

On the picture was our first plate of food, a full plate of Tempura (which is what we love at Dad's the most, hindi tipid), and a full plate of Sushi and Sashimi especially Salmon and Tuna! Enjoyed the Hilaw na Mangga and Bagoong from Kamayan too!

Still one of the greatest Japanese serving Buffet for me! 128525

Still, the best buffet in the metro. The food choices are extensive and you never have to ask the staff to refill the food.

Well like all of the buffet it's just so-so. Not so good, not so bad. Every time we visit a buffet, I judged it with their sushi/sashimi bar. Their sushi is good, but their sashimi is not. Their tuna sashimi seems like not fresh. Sorry, I have something to compare to since I tasted the legit sashimi in Japan before. Overall, their buffet offers a wide range of choice but nothing catch my taste. Even their pasta boy doesn't want his job. I'm just too generous to even even give you 3 stars. But I'm sure if you are not that picky enough and a fan of buffet, you'll love it, but not for me.

The food is still good and the variety is impressive but if you cant even get to have a decent conversation because of the noise and if lining up for food is too much of a hassle, then the experience, atleast for me, isn't worth it.

Giving this buffet 5 stars because of Saisake'e sushi bar. I really love their maki, sushi, and sashimi. Tamago is my favorite. The choices is way better than Banzai, a more expensive Japanese buffet. Plus I got to eat for free cause it's my birthday week. Yey! 128525
