I went with my friend for dinner at Dads/Saisaki/Kamayan last Saturday.

We had a early dinner so we lined up for dinner buffet before 6pm.We waited for 30 or more before the restaurant reopens for dinner. The line is too long. After the restaurant opened at 6pm, there was no line.

Love all food buffet from Filipino, Japanese and American cuisine. It is so good.

I will definitely be back with my friend to eat at Dads/Saisaki/Kamayan next time.

Flies, flies, flies everywhere! And I don't mean the swarms of people going for the food.

Last I checked, this wasn't an outdoor restaurant. But those damn flies sure gave it that al fresco ambience. 128518

Ok na sana, since this restaurant satisfies the PG in me. Bad trip talaga yung mga langaw.

On Maloushky and I food trips we go for either new restaurants or one we haven’t visited in years. We both used to visit the trio of Dads-Saisaki-Kamayan owned buffets before. Today that is not the case anymore.

Buffets are a now a norm with hotels, big establishments and even small restaurants bringing their A game to attract crowds to consume food in larger quantities within reasonable price points.

This buffet place is a 3.5/5 for the wide variety of cuisines they offer for just Php 688++. They also offer 5 major carvings of Prime Rib, Ham, Turkey, New Zealand Lamb and Lechon. Those alone when taken in ample servings is enough to cover the price.

They also have crepe and ice cream stations for desserts, make your own pasta combinations and grill.

Last Friday, the start of the yay long weekend, I skipped work to start the vacation with a lunch buffet date with the fambam as we are celebrating my tita's birthday yay! As always, being a fan of buffets, we decided to spend it at Dad's - Kamayan - Saisaki at SM Megamall.

This branch is located at the third level of SM Megamall's Building A. I got there at around 1PM and the establishment was literally packed with people. Almost all tables were occupied and my! A long line outside greeted me too. I believe some were still waiting for a table for lunch but some are already in line for a table for their merienda buffet.

The lunch buffet starts at 11:00PM and ends at 2:30PM everyday. The regular rate is at 688 pesos per person but they do have discounts that you can check out once in a while. For our visit, the promo that we got was the bring one person that will pay the regular priced buffet rate and the birthday celebrant gets the buffet rate for fee.

As soon as I got there, I placed my bag in the table and started moving around to start my battle with food. Haha! The different stations were overflowing with food - from the Japanese station that's filled with different kinds of maki, sushi and sashimi to different tonkatsu sets and tempura to the Chinese area filled with a variety of dim sum, siopao, noodles and main dishes like Sweet and Sour Pork to the Asian station mixed and matched with satay, a variety of noodles etcetera. The Filipino station is filled with lots of staple Pinoy ulams that looked really appetizing, especially the Kare-Kare, Lechon, and Dinuguan. The American station will make you go wild as they have it all, from the Turkey to the Roast Beef to the Peking Duck paired with different sauces and sides like baby potatoes and mashed potatoes. The Italian station has the pasta station wherein you get the chance to create your own pasta however you like it. Of course, they have a salad, bread and cheese stations too. For desserts, they have different cakes and pastries. My most favorite were the Smores Cake and the Chocolate Caramel Cake. They also have Pinoy delicacies like bibingka, halo-halo, and an ice cream station. They also have a beverage station where you get your own drink.

The experience was just OK for me because there isn't much food that I loved from the spread but given its price, it's already worth it because the food were generously served.

My mom was unexpectedly craving for this when she visited last February. I really couldn't persuade her to try out Vikings instead since I haven't been there yet. Old school, I know. 128517

Anyway, I really didn't enjoy my buffet experience here. Nothing really stood out for me, even the roast beef! 128561

I think I'm really better off paying for nice restos with quality food instead of buffets with mediocre food. But I'm stil happy that my mom enjoyed her experience here since she was craving for Kamayan's Filipino fare.

Adios! 128111

What I love on this buffet resto is their variety food, spaciousness and the good ambiance. I also enjoy the way they sing and greet the birthday celebrants, you can also request them to sing your favorite song. We discovered this resto through my brother who worked here. over all experience was great!

One of the classic buffet in town. It's been ages when it was my last time to ate here. We had dinner here with my colleagues since Vikings is always full even you have reservation, you still need to wait.

They're still many foods to choose from. They're foods were not bad after all and still good. They also have unli drinks. Their desserts were not just so many as I expected and too ordinary.

The price is I think this is more like kinda expensive than Vikings.

Still value for money P588 weekday Lunch buffet .
Although I missed the Ooni ( taken out of the buffet menu) Dads is still the best buffet in terms of value for money in town . And they have been able to maintain the quality of their food , for the mist part anyway.
Some comments .

Please serve your Lechon freshly cooked and chopped whole Lechon . Seems the skin is always already rubbery. If its a lechon leftover convert it to paksiw already and have s new fresh lechon every meal please...

Don't over warm the oysters rockefeller , they dry out quickly .

My favorites of Roast beef , Salmon sushi / sashimi , Ebi Tempura are still worth getting .
And you can take a bit of a myriad of dishes, including cheeses desserts & ice cream !
Truly value for money .
Your meal is free if its your birthday and if you have 10 paying guests you get 1 free .
Not bad , quite good actually ! c",). My go to blowout place .

Good alternative to Vikings. Cheaper with lots of variety. Food is still good as usual. Plus you get to choose if you want to limit yourself to local fare or the international buffet.

For how much the buffet is worth and the variety of foods, this is truly a value for your money. Went here mainly to eat lechon! I thought I'd go home feeling dizzy of all that crispy and tasty lechon skin that I ate..hehe. 128523 Also liked the hamonado and baked oysters. Didn't like much though their sweets and desserts, nothing special. Will totally go back for those days when I have multiple cravings..iykwim! 128516

Haha! I forgot to give a review here last April on my Brother's Graduation day. There was a promo for the graduates that's why we availed it, though we started late for the buffet their menu is still complete. I was just hoping they have more Korean Cuisines or any other Asian Cuisine and less on Filipino Foods. 128077🏼128077🏼128077🏼

Dad's offers three great buffets in one : DADS continental fare, Saisaki Japanese specialties, and Kamayan’s authentic Filipino cuisine. You get what you paid for.

If you're going to eat here you better avail the crossover one. It's worth the price to pay from filipino, american, spanish, and japanese cuisine! :)

When I was a kid, this was the only buffet resto in Manila where relatives spend their birthdays and anniversaries. But now it has lost it's touch. A lot of buffet resto has surpassed their fame.
I was surprised that their buffet was quite expensive it was 780 per person. Before it was only 500. I like Saisaki over Dad's since I love Japanese food
