Dagupeña Restaurant

If you are looking for Varieties of Flavored Milk Fish visit Dagupeña Restaurant. They serve traditional Filipino food. From appetizers to desserts they have it. Service is quite slow because they cook their food as ordered. We had Milk Fish Steak 128077128077 (A Must Try) Crispy Pata Binagoongan 128077128077(Crispy Pork Limb with a Twist), Spicy Clam Soup is great. Frozen Fruit Salad for the win! They also offer different flavors of Milk Fishes which are sealed for export. They have a corner for Pangasinan's best delicacies. And a cafe where you can rent for meetings and occasions.

First stop in Dagupan was to look for lunch! Was excited to have my first dig at Dagupan's famous bangus. And oh man what a first impression it left, thanks to Dagupeña. One of the older restaurants in the city, they served a lot of old time favorites and family recipe classics. The butter, garlic, and ginataang crab was soooo goood! The breaded shrimp was just so-so. Couldnt really taste the shrimp as much as the breading and ground meat it was stuffed with.

And of course, the bangus ala pobre was amaaaaazing! So flavorful you could literally taste the fresh water environment with every bite. The crispy garlic added that extra kick to an already awesome fish. It wasnt perfectly boneless... but the inconvenience suddenly seemed small compared to how good it tasted. I. Am. Not. Kidding.

Home of the famous bangus! You can even take them home. They sell vacuum sealed ones.

I love their sinigang malaga. Came here on a really peak season. Jam packed and the service was pretty bad. Took very long before orders came

The bangus belly laing is simply the yummiest! I also recommend the crabs and sizzling bangus. The desserts are divine...especially the Spanish bread pudding

Had dinner here last night with Dom.

We had the Binagoongan Crispy Pata, Gambas and Bangus Steak.

The Crispy Pata is great. The Gambas is so-so. The Bangus is basically a daing na bangus hehe

A frequent stop on the way to Dagupan and a stop as well on the way back to Manila.

When you leave Manila at 8am in the morning, Dagupeña becomes the automatic lunch spot 4hrs. after before you arrive in Dagupan.

Aside from the sizzling bangus (which is huge) so better order for a group, get the tarragon and garlic crab, the ginataang alimasag and my sister swears by the binagoongang pata.

For dessert, get the turon or the pandan jelly cake.

On the way back to Manila, make sure you pass by again to buy frozen flavored bangus vacuumed sealed. My personal favorite is steak and the regular daing, but there's also teriyaki and Thai green chili.

There are prime belly cuts and regular marinaded ones and they're good in their own right. It comes down to preferences.

Crispy pata smothered with bagoong sauce. You will never go wrong with this. Pair it up with their fried bangus plus loads of rice! The best!!!!!!

We always pass by this place to take home flavored bangus frozen packs.

They're also famous for the tarragon garlic flavored cooked crabs, and the turon with butter scotch sauce!

Now then even have the bangus belly overload, the waiter explains that it's a modified bangus with a bigger belly. Somewhat questionable but it was really good especially for the pesto flavor!

Boneless bangus varieties are the best. Try pesto bangus belly or honey mustard bangus belly. Crispy pata binagoongan and sabaw ni judge are top favorites as well. Ambience is great and the place is very homey. 128516128077
