Our first destination for our CDO-Camiguin-Bukidnon trip was at Dahilayan Adventure Park. The place reminded me a lot of Baguio with its pine trees and cool weather. Even when we had our activities in the morning, the climate was still pretty cold. Good thing I always bring a jacket on every trip I go – even if that place is the beach.

We checked in first to leave our things. I really loved the rooms! 128149 I always check the bed and bathroom first – bed must be really comfortable and bathroom must be clean. Not only did it satisfy both conditions, the room itself had a very homey feel with its white and wooden accents. We got the family loft and I just fell in love with the second floor. It has a roof design and mini balcony. I also loved how the windows were the right size which allowed the natural sunlight to peak through.

• Deluxe Php3,200 – 4 persons
• Standard Php2,800 – 4 persons

We arrived pretty late in the afternoon so we just took a self mini tour around the place. It's really picturesque and instagram worthy! The next morning was when all the fun began as Dahilayan is known for its attractions. Personally, I loved the zipline, dropzone, sky jump and rope course.

Zipline |
840m Ziplines with a drop of 100 meters. I was pretty nervous at first because the 840m seems so long and up high but when you’re actually there, it’s just breathtaking. The cool weather + view was just perfect. When I got to the end, I realized that it was quite short and just wanted to go for another ride.

Dropzone |
120 ft Freefall into a manmade lake. Swoop to within feet of the water surface making it an adrenaline pumping screamer of a ride. More commonly known as the Philippine’s first extreme pendulum swing of its kind. Another must try! My heart fell with this ride.

Sky Jump |
8 storey platform and the highest parajump in the Philippines using a cell site tower. Experience a split second free fall followed by a gradual descent, ending in a soft landing in less than 10 seconds.

Ropes Course |
Up for a mini workout? Challenge yourself to Dahilayan’s rope course!

Flying Lizard
I wouldn’t recommend this. I saw most people get stuck paddling in the middle.

Python Roller Zipride
Similar to the zipline but your lying on your back with swings. I didn’t get to try this one so I can’t really give a full review on it.

For day tours, Dahilayan opens daily 8AM to 4PM. There is no entrance fee but the rides are priced individually. Overall, I had a really great time!

Filled my adrenaline rush in the most exciting desitination in Bukidnon. Dahilayan is 2 hours away from Cagayan de Oro's Laguindingan International Airport (CGY). There are shuttle services from the city proper that can be pre-scheduled with Dahilayan. We brought our own vehicle heading to Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The road that leads to the adventure zone will pass through Del Monte's Pineapple plantation.

The weather is a perfect equation for a stress-free vacation. The cool breeze of air, fresh scent of trees, and the abundance of flowers make the atmosphere more relaxing.

We soared high and conquered Asia's longest zipline at Dahilayan Adventure Park. The all-in ride pass is priced at Php 600 inclusive of the 840meter Superman ride. You can also try the shorter rides at 180 meters and 320 meters. I was stunned by the view during the entire ride as I hover above pine trees and a flowing river.

There are other attractions including Zorb Ball, ATV, and forest park. It's indeed a great vacation experience for families and couples. Visitors who plans to stay overnight can book at Pinegrove Hotel with room rates ranging from Php2800 to Php500.

When travelling in Cagayan de Oro, you shouldn't forget to include in your itinerary to visit and experience the Longest Dual Zipline in Asia at Dahilayan Adventure Park, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon. The first destination of our CDO trip. After our hearty lunch @ Delmonte Golf Clubhouse, we headed to Dahilayan Adventure Park at around 30-40 mins drive.

We are welcomed by cool breeze and scenic view that reminds me of Baguio. When we arrived, I was thrilled and excited. Me and my dear companion are up to the 834 meters zipline, the first longest dual zipline in Asia. After wearing safety gears we are transported to a launch tower. I started to feel nervous as soon as I climb the launch tower, that is 4,500 ASL ( that I just discovered through the net). I had a very insane moment before I was released.. I'm scared, excited, and happy. But there's not way I can back out.

We are in a superman position. And in just a snap, we are gliding and my eyes are enjoying the 100 meters view from above. There's this small rainforest... Then the entire view of the dahilayan adventure park. Then I forgot the nervousness. It was fun and sort of "bitin" 9786

Magnificent, fantastic zipline experience...as if I am an eagle flying on top of trees...the ride takes about a minute, quite long for a zipline ride

The best part of having a trip in Northern Mindanao is to see Dahilayan Adventure Park in Bukidnon. The climate is similar to Baguio's; and lots of pine trees. The air is also relaxing; you could here the trees blown by the breeze.

The park offers many kinds of activities to choose from. Highlighted by the their zipline with a length lf 840 meters.

It's the perfect place to relax and unwind outside the noise of the busy metro. Bring your family to this blissful place and you'd know why you would want to come back again amid its distance.

I went here last August with my boyfriend and his cousins from CDO! My boyfriend came home for vacation from his masters in the US, and we decided to go to CDO + Bukidnon to visit his cousins for a few days. His tito and tita in CDO were thrilled to have us and treated us to an overnight stay in Dahilayan!

The "rides" (activities?) were pretty expensive, but then again you don't really find a zipline as amazing in Manila! Soaring through the trees was so calming and amazing. And the driving the buggies? MARIO KART DREAMS COME TRUE!

I had so many experiences here that it'd be difficult to write about them here (especially at 2AM). I have blog post about it though, wink wink! It's somewhere in blog.tracymonsod.com gahaha #shamelessplug

Best part? We wiped out the strawberries from the vendors in the area!

After lunch and a short trip around the plantation, we headed over to dahilayan adventure park. It was raining a bit heavily so we were worried that the zipline might be closed. Luckily, the rain stopped once we reached the park. It was chilly though! Like Baguio weather so better bring a jacket!
We got a package ticket which included all 3 of the regular ziplines (I forgot what they were called) including the longest one which was 840meters!
After suiting up, we road a jeep/shuttle to go up to the top of the zipline. Better to wear shoes so you don't have to take off your flipflops, sandals. If you're iffy about cables and straps around your skin, wear leggings or jeans. If you trust your monopod, you can bring it along but there are official photos for just 100ea. I brought my iPhone with me, buwis buhay! Haha!
The other two zips were shorter but equally fun. An exhilarating experience I must say!

I'm a big scaredy cat who loves adventures. Haha the irony! I was super excited to try ASIA'S LONGEST ZIPLINE here at CDO ever since I watched Sam Milby and KC concepcion's movie, Forever and A Day. Oops lumalabas the jeje vibes. Haha huli! Anyway, yeah, super excited for this and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT. The 840m (about 1 min) beautiful scenery was worth the possible heart attack (sorry just and from confinement due to slow heart rate several weeks ago). Hahaha I was screaming the whole time and it felt incredible! Just what I needed after weeks of piled up stress! Definitely pumped up my heart rate, methinks! I should do it more often. Haha! 128540

I forgot to send this in yesterday so this is now my contribution to #flashbackFriday instead!

Next to white water rafting, this was one of the highlights of our 2012 summer getaway. Located in Bukidnon, about an hour and a half away from CdO, the park had a lot to offer, from ATV trail riding to horseback riding to various adrenalin inducing rides.

Touted as the longest in Asia, the dual zip lines begin at 120 mts, progess to 320 mts and then become the granddaddy of them all, 840 mts. Suspended on the zipline, we were literally 1166 meters above sea level or about 70 meters above the ground. Since we were over the canopy, we had a fantastic view of the zip line route and the surrounding forest below us.

Naturally, my heart began to pound as the attendants strapped me into the Superman harness. As they were doing so, they nonchalantly explained what to do and how to brake. In my mind, I was thinking, "What? How to brake?!", which brought me to ask, "How fast does this go?".

I was cleared for take off, released and barely heard the answer, 90km/hr! I swallowed the big lump in my throat and adrenalin took over. At 90km/hr this was trully a "zip" line. Unlike others I have tried before, the length of the line serves to heighten the feeling of flying and really does make the difference. At some point, I purposely maxed out on the speed by keeping my arms to my side, tucking my head in and making myself as streamlined as possible.

At P600 total for all three lines, this was worth the thrill, the fun, and the bragging rights of having zoomed the longest zip line in Asia!

Dahilayan Adventure Park is known for its dual zipline (4700 feet above sea level) which is said to be the longest in Asia.

We braved the ziplines! yay! It was scary at first. I opened my eyes and boy, I'm flying! The view is spectacular.

We also tried their tree top adventure (ropes course) and a horse back ride while enjoying the view. It is picture perfect!128525
