Seafood is 128153128154128155128156!!!
We always dine at Aling Cadiang.
We ordered one kilo of baked mussels, half kilos of garlic buttered shrimp, ulo ng salmon sinigang sa miso and liempo. Ripe mangoes bought from Farmers Market fruit stalls.

We spent P1,390 for our food including fruits. That's really a steal! We're a group of 4 adults and 1 kiddo, and we're able to take home much leftovers.

Going back? YESSSSSSS!!!

Dinner hosted by one of our directors. Ordered a lot of food, some not included in the picture because they came in late and we were all hungry so dedma muna sa picture!

Inihaw na liempo, adobong pusit, garlic shrimps, steamed shrimps, alimango, sinigang na isda (I forgot what kind of fish that was) - name it, we have it!

I loved the garlic shrimps though I think they put too much sugar in it. Inihaw na liempo was not remarkable. Anyway, a treat of free food is always great, so overall the experience was panalo!

And I earned a new badge with this review! What a surprise hahaha!

We chose Aling Cadiang's paluto service from the others as per reco received from a friend. We ordered buttered garlic shrimps and baked mussels, 2 rice and drinks. I think we paid a little more than 500php.
Both the mussels and shrimps tasted fresh. I love how garlick-y the shrimps turned out. The baked mussels also did not disappoint.. oh so cheesyyy. 128516 waiting time will be a little longer as they will cook your food only upon order.
The place is well ventilated, it was spacious enough to fit big groups. Also, the smell of the wet market beside it did not even reach the dampa.
One thing we did not like was that the staff of Aling Cadiang were kinda lazy. Haha Also, we always had a hard time getting their attention. 128545

Buy it fresh and eat it fresh. I'll never get tired of eating in dampa even if they are not the best in terms of ambiance and quality. Just having that huge serving of buttered suahe and baked tahong is more than enough. The farmers one is cheaper than macapagal btw.

We had a very festive lunch awhile ago at Dampa, Farmers Market Cubao.

As mentioned on my previous post, we bought all the meat from the Farmers Market wet market and had it cooked at Kainan ni Aling Cadiang.

The great thing about it is you can choose what way to cook your meat and they'll give you just that.

What we had are the following:

Buttered Garlic Shrimp
Salmon Sinigang
Alimango sa Gata
Chicken Curry
Liempo
Ensaladang Talong with Bagoong
Baked Mussels

All of them were deliciously cooked. All the meat and its sauces' are very flavorful.

I really enjoyed the Salmon Sinigang. Although, if you're someone who really looks for a very sour type of Sinigang then this is too mild for you. But for me it's ok.

Alimango sa Gata is a must try too. If you have someone who has a good eye for buying a good quality of Alimango then you shouldn't miss trying out this dish.

Baked Mussels
What I liked about this dish is it is overloaded with cheese. Although it took quite a while before this dish was served. we were almost done with the whole meal. But it was worth the wait.

Hello Everyone!

Happy weekends!

Currently here at Dampa, Farmers Market Cubao.

It has an open space where walk-in customers can dine and order among the different stalls available in the area.

In our case, the group occupied an air conditioned function room, just right for those who wants to have a private place just for their group.

It is also equipped with a Karaoke that the group can enjoy while waiting for their food. Although per song has a fee of P5.

The function room is P500 good for 2 hours and can be occupied by a group of 7 - 30 persons.

I suggest that you give an allowance of 2 - 3 hours inclusive of ordering and waiting for the food to cook.

Will be posting the foods we ordered on my next post.

Ventilation is suprisingly good and it doesnt smell like market.
The sinigang na hipon was okay. It's not as sour as I want I to be.
The cheesy tahong is meh. I don't like the taste of the butter.
The price is kinda pricey. Aside from the food price they have paluto charge.
I wonder if the other's stores cook better 128516

1. Good ventilation - There were plenty of ceiling fans, gym high ceiling. People are allowed to smoke but you won't feel it's a smoking area. Ventilation is so good food easily gets cold.
2. Food - We had ours cooked at Aling Cadiang. Everything seemed ordinary to me. Nothing stood out but nothing was lame. Sinigang shrimp was not as sour and tasty as I wanted it to be.
3. This dampaan is surprisingly clean and dry even if it is beside a market and located in Cubao. It does not smell like market too - does not smell fishy.
4. Some street children were able to sneak in to beg from the customers. It's still a public area after all.
5. Great place to meet up with friends for long talks and catching up.
6. Price is not bad. For all the food we ordered as seen in the picture, it's around 1200Php. There were plenty of leftover food.

The best "Paluto" dine-in ever! Buttered shrimp and Baked Tahong are 2 of my favorite menu dishes here...

So, there's a Dampa in Farmer's Market?!? Oh yeah? When I was told that we will be having lunch in Dampa for our Aunt's birthday, I was thinking of Dampa sa Libis since our Aunt is from Cubao. I hesitated when we were told that I'll be in Farmer's Market...I mean, where exactly?!! Choosy pa!

If you've ever been to Farmer's Market, the side of it that's facing Telus houses the "paluto" section. It was directly above (cause you have to take some steps up) the wet and dry market. When we got there, food has already been served! Seafood fiesta! Since I was craving for some sea food, I didn't complain.

We got some baked mussels with lotsa garlic and cheese. They used quick melt cheese I guess because when the mussels cooled down, the cheese got really salty and umay full. We were also served with some spicy crabs. It's really hard to eat them when you're not at home because of the mess and you'll be left with no choice but to use your bare hands. The crabs had too much margarine, sugar and chili. You have to get past all those to enjoy the meat.

I'm a big fan of shrimps. I can eat shrimps every single day for a week. When the fried shrimps were served, I was as giddy as you can imagine. They were coated and then deep fried but there was just too much crunch - too much breading. They also didn't remove the head and the skin so it's either you eat everything or endure peeling the skin with all the crumbs. Hassle!

Then there was Sinigang sa Miso that was too ... errr ... Fishy?!? 128032128031127907 Ahahah! I just didn't like it. Good thing there was grilled pork! Liempo for the win! Tender with all the grill marks, dipped in spicy toyo-mansi! Shemay! Sarap!

It wasn't the best place to dine you know - no ambiance, you sort if smell the wet market and all...but it was really affordable and you're sure that you're getting fresh catch! Maybe some other "Paluto" stalls there would have done better.
