True to its name Dashing Diva, you'll feel like a real diva upon stepping inside. Greenbelt has a nicer place than Robinson's Place Ermita (where I usually go to have my nails done). They have this huge flat screen tv for guests who want to watch a movie or two while having their services. Staff are courteous and will offer you a glass of iced tea. Strong mobile data signal. Services are superb. Di sila nagmamadali and most of all, they use sterilized tools plus new slippers everytime! And yeah, they have this "Husband/Boyfriend Waiting Area" (See the photo 128516) and they get free drinks too! Kidding aside, Dashing Diva is pricey but you get what you pay for. You wouldn't want to have murdered nails, right?

These gals do a great job cleaning nails. Just very thorough and precise. Gets all the dead skin off etc. I go here often for all my nail needs.

They have the best selection of nail art and decals and gel (shellac) colors!

I wish they would be cheaper (I spend more than 1k everytime I go!) and I wish the girls would not gossip so much while working. Overall I recommend this place!

This review covers two visits spanning exactly two weeks from the time of application until removal of gel polish. So yes, it's a long review.

I'd long wanted to try the gel polish but wasn't sure if it was worth the price. It costs almost 3x the price of an ordinary maniped, but they say it lasts much longer (nearly 3 weeks) and will not chip even if you do manual labor until you have them professionally removed at the salon. Two weeks ago, I decided to finally get a gel maniped with my sister Maudie V.

Dashing Diva is located inside Beauty Bar. On one side is this long pink banquette on a dais with fitted sinks on the platform for washing your feet. On the other side are tables which I suppose are for those coming in to have only their hands done.

On both visits, I was offered drinks. The first time, I chose iced tea which was served quickly. On my second visit, I asked for just warm water as I had a cough. Unfortunately, the water came after the service. Don't understand why it would take them longer to prepare just warm water.

Their staff are very efficient and careful. (Note: Ok boys, you can tune out now because it's about to get technical.) I've had way too many accidents (bloody fingers/toes) in the past that I can't help but feel apprehensive when dealing with a new technician. I'm very particular about how I like my nails cleaned -- cut only the hangnails and push back the cuticle. Otherwise, I'm likely to get an open wound. The nail technician assigned to me was very careful and would often stop and ask if I was feeling any pain. While I did hold my breath for a few seconds as she was cleaning my big toes, it all went well and all of my digits are happy and free from any injury. Staff are also friendly and chatty, which really can't be helped given that we spent nearly 2 hours in close proximity, she holding either my hand or foot the entire time. They're also 'mabola', telling me how healthy my nails are, yada yada yada. I didn't really mind because it was kind of fun chatting with them. Looking back, it almost seemed like a date, except that I generally don't allow my dates to touch my feet.128540

The technician said they use only soft gel (part gel, part polish) which is supposed to be healthier for the nails than the hard gel. Also, it's supposedly easier to remove.

True enough, my gel polish didn't chip at the edge like ordinary nail polish would after 5 days (or even less). However, I had to have them removed yesterday after only 2 weeks because apparently my nails grow fast and the gel near the nail bed started to separate from the nail that I could even peel off some parts of the gel.

All in all, I thought it was a good experience. I still find it pricey (having to pay for both the application and removal), so I'll probably just do this on special occasions.

This is the second time I tried the metallic nails fx.. The look is really amazing! Although it takes about 15minutes to take out the old ones, application is a breeze! And the best part is there is absolutely no drying time!

Perfect for me who is always on the go and can't deal with smudges and nicks on my digits... 128133
