One of the city's tourist spots. It's a vicinity where you can see wildlife and learn about them. We went there on a Sunday which has a bit cheaper rate than the other days.

Sunday rate :
Adult P250
Child P150 (2-12yo)

We were able to watch a show when we arrived. The hosts are lively and they showcased trained animals. Apart from that, they're also informative. After the show, we roamed around and explore.

Since we went there on a Sunday, most places are closed and shows are scheduled only in the afternoon. Thus, we were not able to maximize our visit. We just stayed there for more than two hours (we started past 9am) as we were able to visit almost all places.

When In Davao, you should not missed the opportunity to visit the Davao Crocodile Park. It is a mini zoo with varieties of wild animals like tiger, wild boar, gorilla, ostrich, etc. 128053

I was fascinated with the cleanliness and orderliness of the zoo. It's well maintained and organized. Beside the zoo, there's a butterfly sanctuary that you can check too. And outside... there's a store selling ice cream and coffee, even crocodile meat too. 128010

We went here on our last day in Davao. Our flight was at 3pm so we still had plenty of time. We arrived at Crocodile around 9:30am and there were only a few people so we were a little happy. Haha!

I didn't expect to see so many crocodiles. Small, big, extremely huge ones as well! It was really scary! Haha.

We also did some Ostrich feeding which was really scary at first but it was nice to be able to get very close to them.

My favorite part was the animal talent show! The host was very energetic and funny. I liked how the show did not just focus on the animals doing random things but the host also talked about conserving the environment and taking care of animals.

I felt like a kid again watching the show. (I was seated in the very first row by the way.)

I thought that I would only see crocodile's on Crocodile Park (lol128514). Seriously though, I was amazed by how clean and how many kinds of animals there were in Crocodile Park. 128516

The entrance was quite pricey though Php. 200 or 250/person, but just think that it's for the animals 128522

We first saw birds, then crocodiles, monkey's, tiger's, and so much more. There were also baby crocodiles.Kids will surely love this place. 128077

You can also try here Ostrich and Crocodile based ice creams. Wherein instead of using a normal chicken egg yolk for this sweet dessert, they use the ostrich's or the crocodile's. 128523

Crocodile's meat is also available here 128561

We had lunch at Kaonanan sa Tribu K’Mindanawan before exploring what Davao Crocodile Park had in store for us. This restaurant had been featured in tv shows, travel magazines, and blogs. They're famous for their creative way of serving food in a Sungkaan. The sungka meal is good for 5-6 persons. They also have the Palo Sebo meal. It's a healthy alternative coz the patties are made of banana blossoms instead of meat. It's good for 2 persons and is very affordable! Unfortunately, it wasn't available when we had our lunch there. We opted to try other native dishes instead. We ordered Binayong ajos, luy-a, tanglad na manok (270 pesos), sinigang na baboy served in a clay pot (190 pesos), and rice in a bamboo (85 pesos). For dessert, do try Crocodile Icecream in Civet coffee flavor (80 pesos).

I did enjoy a quick tour here and the animals seem to be "at least" well taken care of though it doesn't justify the fact that their cages are too tiny for them. The crocs here are ginormous and I wouldn't be caught dead teasing around those rusty bard wires around them. They look scary, hungry and just bad haha What I mostly remember here is the ice cream shop. I can't believe my picky eater bf suggested we try it. The ice cream flavor is great but when you get a hit of that croc meat, ugh. It's disgusting. A taste of flavor between salty and fishy. Well, I've satisfied my curiosity, so that's it. Not having another scoop, ever.

Complete your Davao vacation by visiting their Crocodile Park.128515For only P200.00 you get the chance to have close encounter to different animals like birds, monkeys, turtles and of course their crocodiles(there are lots of them). You can also try their crocodile durian ice cream which is their best seller for P80.00.Sounds exotic right?!9786

Did you know that the Crocodile Farm in Davao City is also a zoo of different animals other than the reptiles? Seen here is a tiger waiting for its snack.

Aside from the organic themed park where local wildlife of davao is showcased vis-a-vis the region's flora and fauna, the place offers recreational activities like the huge pool, sports facilities, and a premium spa. It also has its own resto called Cafe El Gato which serves fushion cuisine. Its european-inspired using local ingredients. Check out their quatro formagi where one of cheeses used is the Malagos Cheese - a world class cheese that is locally made in Malagos, at the Tamolo district of davao city. Its texture is comparable to a high-grade feta cheese only that it is more nutty and crumbly. They also offer croc-meat dishes designed for the more adventurous pallets. Come here during friday or saturday because every 4pm, they have a cultural show that showcases the local culture rendered in indak-indak ensemble. Its a very tasteful experience in davao. Forget hong-kong or macau, davao has a deeper cultural value. Definitely a must try!

It's best to come here around 3:30pm or when it's no longer too hot. There's not much shaded areas in the park.
Highlights:
Ostrich and tiger feeding.
Live show of animals showing their tricks and kuya playing with the crocs.
Crocodile and ostrich ice cream.
Great for kids and adults too.

Got to see some wildlife. I felt like a little kid seeing the animals. The best attraction for me was seeing the tigers. They were huge. I wish I could hug them and take them home.

-1 because their resto didn't have the crocodile sisig. Booo.

Enjoyed seeing different animals here. I was afraid to go near the ostrich kasi baka tukain ako. Haha.

Did not try their exotic crocodile meat here but I tried their exotic ice cream(Crocodile Durian specifically). It has that very weird durian taste which I'm not a fan of.

The crocodile park was smaller than what i have expected. However, for a farm, it is clean. There's not much of the stinking smell of zoos.

We had a short discussion on whether to try the croc burger or not. And so we ended up not eating one. Haha. So no review for that. 9786

Overall, I kinda wish there were tourist guides designated for a batch of visitors or something like more educational posters around the farm. To inform the visitors more about crocodiles and other animals in the farm. 128522

Lastly, I was hoping to see the baby orangutan born the day before we visited the farm. Hehe. 128053

So much to see in this place that the 5 kids and 8 adults enjoyed walking around the park. There were crocodiles (of course, duh, Jamie), birds, snakes, apes, turtles and tigers (those of which I remembered).

We couldn't concentrate on the shows because the 5 kids wanted to explore on their own.

I think the highlight of this experience was going near the tigers and feeding them. We had to pay extra for that, but seeing the kids crying, panicking and laughing all at the same time, was totally worth it. Or was it when Zoë almost got lost from running around and accidentally following a different group? I dunno which gave me a heart attack more...

I'm definitely coming back here when I return.

Davao Crocodile Park is great! Aside from the crocs you also get to see other animals. It's like a mini zoo! But there were a lot of crocodiles that's why I enjoyed. They looked creepy though! Fees would go up to 200/adult this coming August 1.
