Dayrits is a classic Filipino diner that used to be very popular in the 80s-90s. While it's in need of a renovation as you can feel the age of their look and decor, it's still a well loved place for home-cooked flavours, especially for those who grew up in this area. I'd rather keep the decor as is than pay a higher price for the food. So yeah, it's very forgivable. Some of the waiters have been with the restaurant for many years. It gives us a feeling of familiarity with each visit. They used to have more branches. Magallanes is not exactly known as a foodie destination and I'm happy they seem to be going strong as I've had many visits with the restaurant still filling up.

I always order the Roast Beef and Hawaiian Rice 210.00. Really soft beef with gravy, onions, a side of vegetables, perfectly paired with their fried rice. Take note, this is Pinoy style, so please be gentle with them and not compare this with it's western counterpart. If you like sprinkling Knorr liquid seasoning to your food, ito na ang pagkain Na para sa iyo. Basta ako I leave with a happy tummy after each meal with this. For the price, it's also a generous serving.

I also almost always bring home with me their frozen Chorizo Macau, which is about 400 per pack. You can order this to eat in the restaurant but since I prefer the roast beef dining in, I just take this home. The chorizo is a whole sausage over a foot long, which you cut yourself according to your preferred thickness.

Memories of my childhood. Used to frequent their old Greenhills branch. I love their huge burgers and Sizzling Spaghetti.

I ordered their D Burger and Roast Beef Spaghetti. The burger is still good but the roast beef spaghetti was 128078🏻 a disappointment. It was bland. The beef too and a bit dry. The spaghetti sauce was also so so. Will order their Corned Beef Spaghetti next time.

I wish they would open again in Greenhills.

No frills, just good classics. I was afraid that serving portions would be "bitin" but it proved me wrong and believe me folks, i have a very healthy appetite.
The corned beef was a lot and reasonably priced, the macau sausage i prefered to be a bit on the tostado side but no worries it was still good, the tanguigue steak was surprisingly cooked well! Better than most high end restaurants who over cook their fish. Their cheese chichacorn for sale was only 80 pesos and they were good. The halo-halo is a pass, i get gout so their halo-halo was a bean festival. So yeah you want none pretentious comfort food. Dayrit's. Period.

The classic fresh corned beef with boiled cabbage, potato and carrot.

It has a clean and light flavor unlike the canned type.

Maverick Christopher P and I were supposed to go to the National Museum that day but Waze made us go through Makati and we ended up getting fed up with all the traffic we went to Paseo instead.

We first dropped by the Pet Mall and then had lunch here. I have a lot of childhood memories here. I remember my titas bring me here after shopping and I'd order the roast beef sandwich.

After 10 years, the place still has the same feel and I love that.

We ordered the Caldereta and Nilagang Gulay, the Caldereta was really good - the Nilagang gulay was kinda weird? The veggies weren't sliced? And they were literally "boiled veggies" 128566 It was tasteless.

Service was kinda slow tho.

When I entered the restaurant,it gave an 80's vibe in an instant: the frames of the paintings on the wall, the wooden chairs, the way the sofas were upholstered, sooo 80's ... But in a good way!
Some things are great when remain unchanged. I appreciate how the food were served, the aged ( again in a good way) waiters who were attentive whenever your glass is empty. The old fashioned folks and the old fashioned roast beef which tastes soo good and the caldereta . Nice value for your money

Roast beef is soft, tender but bland & a tad dry ,crunchy veggies on the side & a baked potato 211088️... Weird that my cousin told me that this is supposedly really good.. Maybe a bad day??

Macao.... thinly sliced longganisa is juicy & really flavorful , since it's fried... Its a little oily & the onion vinegar dip is the perfect washed for the oily cured meat ....simply delicious paired with plain rice 511088

Chori burger, the juicy & tender patty was a little too salty ... If not.... It's not half bad 9786️ 311088

Roast beef platter: 4/5 ... Good, big serving. But it's lacking something... Wish they served mashed potatoes with it instead of baked potato.

Caldereta: 3.5/5

Food was served in 15 mins. I feel the resto needs upgrading. Feels like I'm eating in a carinderia. Same goes for the waiters and staff. My hubby went to the area near the kitchen to ask for a menu since all the 3 waiters were busy (it was packed, all seats taken at lunch on a sunday, and we couldn't find a menu nearby) and the girl behind the counter said, sir breakfast menu nalang ang meron. HUH? Meaning we can't order anything else? Told hubby to borrow from the other table. WTheck? She should have scoured the whole resto for one. Talk about tamad.

They can learn a thing or two from max's. They've managed to maintain food quality and have leveled up their service!

✅ Roast Beef Plate: P320
"served with baked potato topped with cheese, bacon bits, vegetables & choice of bread or rice"

For some strange reason I seem to gravitate towards this place whenever I have lunch past the 3pm mark.

Maybe it's because it doesn't take them that long to prepare and serve this dish.

Maybe its all-beef goodness reminds me of a steak.

Maybe it's because the serving is big enough to be conservatively shared by two people.

Maybe it's due to the meat being tender enough to be picked apart with a spoon and fork.

Maybe it's because it goes so well with Coke that I am "forced" to order a can.

Maybe it's the absence of fat.

Maybe it's because the meat is so darn tasty on its own that I don't get to finish the rice.

Maybe it's how the thinly sliced beef retains its juiciness.

Maybe I should stop overthinking this and just enjoy my meal. 128522

Very filipino cuisine, Known for their Burger & Roast beef. Since this is my first time, I, of course tried one of the best, Hawaiian rice with Roast beef. Not bad for a first timer, the beef was cooked the way I like. Gravy was also served, it will add more flavor to your meal. Mixed vegetables as your side dish completes the plate. We also ordered for Macao, thinly sliced longaniza with vinegar garlic as your dip, perfect combi! They have this fronzen section wherein you can buysome of their menu, like Macao, embotido, beef tapa, delicacies like banana chips, brownies, tuyo and others. A restaurant that was run by the Dayrit family recipes. Try this one should you want to taste something like a family member cooked a meal for you 128106

Haven't eaten here in a long time. This restaurant has been a frequent place for breakfast and lunch for people living near Magallanes. Since 1974 it has never branched out not until now. And that's only one branch in Tomas Morato.

They are really famous with their Burgers and their Roastbeef so I ordered the Roast Beef Plate (P310.00). It was good. I kinda tasted something sour but I couldn't find where. Anyway, it still is a good place to dine if you're looking for filling meals.

If you like good comfort food like the kind your grandma used to prepare, then try this place out. I grew up with Dayrits as one of my all time faves. From the chorizo macau to its corned beef and cabbage. Wow. Oh and not to forget the roastbeef. Good food all the way.
