I requested an order for pick up 2 days ago. They confirmed it would be ready by 11:00AM since I would be rushing to my meeting. So I called again this morning and again they confirmed it would be ready by 11:00AM. When I got there 11:00AM sharp, they said it wouldn't be ready for another 30mins to an hour. 1 star for an order that never showed up.

We asked what is their best seller among waffles, pancakes and toasts; and it was pancakes 128586
It looked promising when it was served but I didn't like the texture at all. It was dry, not fluffy and disintegrating. Too disappointing 128532

First so-so review for Dean & Deluca redeemed!

Ordered the ff (and in photo):
Parma Pizza
Soy Glazed Salmon with Himalyan Red Rice

I wasn't "wow-ed" first time I tried here but it was soft opening then. If not price conscious, the pizzas are quite reliable and good! Safe bet to try. On my 3rd try here I ordered something new and was satisfied with my salmon dish! Very fresh and healthy with the right portioning. I finished it myself w/o feeling guilty. 128514

Not in photo but default order as well is their Macadami Nut Latte. 1280779749127860

Default coffee slash dessert place whenever my friends and I would meet in Rockwell. Right after our dinner at Chili's, we went straight here to chill and relax. 97869749127856

It was already almost 10pm when we arrived and the place was still full. Still 2nd on the list, we waited for about 10 minutes and we were able to get a table upstairs.

While my friends were still deciding what to get, Ony and I went down to check the available cakes. We had a mission before of finding the best apple pie but failed haha because we stopped searchingggg. So, yuuup we still haven't found the one!!! 128557128529128517

Anyway, there were a lot of cheesecakes available and we loooove cheesecake!!! Normally, we would get that one but when Ony saw the Dutch Apple Pie (PHP220/slice), we both agreed to try it. 127822 And then Ony ordered the Iced Hazelnut Mocha (Hot: 170; Iced: 180).

The Dutch Apple Pie was goood. Not too sweet. There were a lot of huge sweet chunks of apples added. We enjoyed eating this that I had to stop Ony from eating too fast kasi baka maubos agad! 128517128523 I just personally think that this would be so much better if served warm? A but pricey but this one is better (and less expensive) than Wildflour's Apple Pie! 128540

I am not a fan of drinking anything cold or iced. But since our server suggested we get the iced version of our drink, we agreed and got that one but asked for lesser ice. 128513 Our drink was good. We both liked how it was not that sweet, not too bitter and had the right level of "chocolatey goodness" 128518 It was refreshing and the taste was just perfect. Ony was right in choosing this one. 128077🏼

My friends tried the Orange NY Soda (PHP150), Hot Cappuccino (PHP150) and Caffe Latte (PHP150). They liked their drinks and the NY Soda according to my friend was good and very refreshing. 127865127818 Too bad the passionfruit is no longer available. It was good pa naman! 128530128557

Service was good. Our server was nice and answered all our questions (i.e., why is the passionfruit and the croissant pudding no longer available, what's the bullet proof high performance coffee, why is it called bullet proof high performance coffee, etc.). And because we were asking too many questions, we discovered that you can ask them to replace your regular milk to either soy or non-fat milk. My friend had his cappuccino with soymilk. No extra charge!! 128521128077🏼

Overall, we enjoyed our coffee, drinks, and apple pie. The place was nice, quiet and not too crowded. It was a great night, indeed! 128077🏼

We had lunch here last week. It was a busy time when we got there and waited a few minutes before we were ushered to our table. We ordered:

Arugula Salad ✅✅✅✅✅ 430php
- with beetroot, fresh fruits, cherry tomatoes, sunflower seeds with balsamic dressing vinaigrette

New York Burger ✅✅✅✅430php
- Angus beef, tomato, cheddar cheese, and dressing

Pesto Pasta ✅✅✅✅ 460php
- organic pasta, fresh organic basil, nuts, sundried tomatoes, piquillo pepper, and cherry tomato
- addtl 100php for chicken

Very Strawberry and Salted Caramel Milkshakes ✅✅✅✅✅ 180php

Everything was good! It would've been better if the servings were a little bit more since it's a but pricey. Oh well, it's in Rockwell and the place is posh.

Ambience: ✅✅✅✅✅

Wow lotsa salivating looloo reviews about Dean & Deluca, this means I have to explore the rest of it! Since we got out of Powerplant Mall a bit late, we just had a nightcap moment here... We were craving for something a bit simple so we tried their refreshing fruit sodas and their waffle with fresh fruits.... Simply refined taste and tender texture with the perfectly done waffle, cream and fresh fruits drizzled with honey, ohhh simply yum.... Maybe next time I'll visit during lunchtime or dinnertime to try the heavier meals and mouth-watering pastries and desserts!

Dean & Deluca has always been one of my favorite places to eat in. Great ambiance, great food. Dropped by today just to splurge on desserts with one of my friends. We ordered a slice of crepe cake, another slice of pie, and a milkshake.

I honestly find it so, so hard to pick among the cakes and pastries on display because they all look really good! But today I settled on the New York Cream Pie. I thought it'd be really sweet just looking at the pile of cream and bananas but it surprisingly wasn't overwhelming. It was light and really good. I enjoyed the flaky crust. It fell apart halfway through which made it messy to eat but it's part of the charm, I guess.

My friend got the Chocolate Tiramisu Mille Crepe. I got to taste it and I liked it. Not too much cream between the layers which is always a plus and the crepe felt silky in the mouth.

Our server recommended the dark chocolate chip milkshake since we were having desserts. True to jis word, it wasn't sweet but still had that distinct dark chocolate flavor.

Can't wait to go back and try other desserts next time!

Sundate with my highschool best friends. I wanted to try Dean and Deluca because of their beverages. I had Salted Caramel milkshake. Ohhhheeemmmmggggeee!! The best milkshake I had in my entire existence. Hahaha. I also tried their baby back ribs. Somewhat pricey yet worth it. I don't like the red rice tho. Hehehe.

Who among you watched Keri Russell and her lovely locks in Felicity?  I used to stay up late every Thursday night for this show.  And i had a brief period in my life spent crushing on Ben.  No, I am not gonna write about unrequited love - this is about Dean and Deluca.  Why the Felicity reference,  you ask?  Ben works here,  yeah,  those washboard abs hidden underneath  the shirt.

Digressions aside.  Dean and Deluca has been on my must-try list for quite sometime (a couple of weeks after they opened).  For some odd weird reason,  i always skip 'em whenever I am in the area.

Our resident sweet tooth asked for an impromptu food crawl last night and D&D is part of his list.  I was the only one available last night,  off we go to Rockwell for dem sweet treats.

D&D screams posh from the inside and out.  Modern interiors,  high ceilings, minimalist furniture and marble floors.  They play sofy jazz,  conducive for relaxed dining.  Finally,  a restaurant that plays the music that i like,  no dreadful pop songs (no offence,  old soul here).

The glass contraption that houses all the pastries is a sight to behold (too lazy to google the English Word for "estante").  They have excellent lighting,  all of the sweet treats look mighty appetizing.  It took massive amounts of restrain not to order the Matcha Cheesecake.   We settled on Salted Caramel Bread Pudding and Kouign Amann.

One of the servers accompanied us to a vacant table.  Water is served first while we wait.  What I've noticed is the stern,  poker faced behaviour of the servers.  They are not rude or anything but they like the warmth I am looking for.  I guess their tribe is not yet accustomed to smiling.

I would've preferred a friendly server since we are first time customers and we are yet privy to their food.  Okay,  let's talk about the food.

The Kouign Amann is killer.  The top is sugar crusted and chewy on each bite.  The inside is flaky and buttery.  Best paired with black coffee or English Breakfast.  This is right up my alley,  i like simple pastries.

The Salted Caramel Pudding is a lil underwhelming.  Too sweet and i feel that it's too pricey for php 300+.   The salted caramel ice cream is good though,  creamy and has a thick consistency.

Overall, D&D's pastries lives up to the hype.  The service needs a lil tweaking though,  a smile or two will not hurt.

Given the opportunity, we decided to try it out. I am NOT A BIG FAN of pesto but I LOVE the pesto rice with their angus beef tapa which is so divine. Husband ordered the cast iron which was also good but sana they have lean bacon and white bread. The cortado coffee provided a perfect blend of espresso and milk. For take out, we ordered their bestseller croissants - creme brulee, salted egg and almond plus the moist banana cake and chocolate chip.

Okay, I went here for a drink. To be frank, I don't think I can order a meal here (meals are too expensive :( ) But the place looks sooooooo nice! Their pastry display makes you want to devour all of them! But unfortunately, I only went there for their matcha latte since it's on the list of the best matcha lattes in Manila. The Iced matcha latte tasted good. You can really taste the tea and not just some artificial flavoring or something. The down side though is that there were leftover tea bits in my drink (not sure if this is normal, but I didn't really appreciate it since it was really bitter). Despite this I am definitely gonna come back to try more of their drinks, and perhaps some food 128522

The place is nice and cozy. They have a good selection of dishes. We ordered Aglio Olio, Umami Chicken and New York Passionfruit Soda. Food was great. I like the chicken it was crunchy outside, soft and juicy inside and a bit of spicy kick. The pasta is perfect, not too oily and not too salty, but the serving is small. Also tried their Macadamia Nut Latte, according to the server it was their best seller and couldn't agree more. My friend had their signature hot choco, it wasn't too sweet, just perfect. Also had pistachio cake to complement the coffee. The service was great. Got Cuban Cheeseroll for to go, it was really good. 128523

I'm a coffee lover so I really wanted to try Dean and Deluca as I've been seeing a lot of posts lately about their food and drinks (esp coffee). I wanted to try their famous NY soda but I figured that it might not be a good combination with coffee afterwards.

For dinner, we ordered Parma pizza, pesto pasta, and chicken umami before we had their yummy matcha cheesecake and iced coffee. The chicken umami comes with tofu too. And you can choose to have chicken wings or breast part. All were really delicious and we were satisfied (Unfortunately, I forgot to take a pic).

The matcha cheesecake was really good! But it's just too pricey for a very small serving (php 300). We ordered this from the counter since the desserts are not in their menu but they served the cheesecake in our table. For coffee, my friends ordered cafe dulce de leche and hazelnut chocolate latte -- Nothing really special.
I ordered the macadamia nut latte. My friends said mine tastes better than their order but again, nothing so special (but I'd still come back :) ) The coffee btw is not too pricey for me. It's almost just like other coffee shops' price (php 180), but only a little smaller. They only have one drink size.

Overall, I can say I'm definitely coming back. It's just really too pricey but the food and coffee are good, the place was really nice and cozy. The service was also great. 128077🏻 you get what you pay for lol
