Since it was pretty hot, we decided to have a break and have some refreshments. It was a choice between Single Origin or Dean & Deluca and yes, D&D won. 128518

Ony ordered the ORANGE NEW YORK SODA (150php) 127865127818 because we already tried this before and we liked it soooo much (also tried the the passionfruit NY soda before during a looloo rendezvoos and I loved it!! A lot!!!!). So we were really excited to try this again especially since it was hot!! Sadly, it wasn’t as good, refreshing and OMG unlike before. Parang may nagbago. Huhu. Para na lang siyang royal... na mahal. 128563☹️

Also got the HAZELNUT MOCHA LATTE and it was just okay. I kind of like WF’s Vietnamese latte more than this. Just like the soda, I remember enjoying this before but not anymore. Anyare, D&D? Huhuhu. 🤔☹️128563

Highly-recommended: their Mango Creme Brûlée Cake. I recommended this to my family, they all loved it. Recommended it to my two friends, they both loved it.

You might like it, too! 🤔

Not too sweet and the cake is super light and airy. I love the whipped cream looking thing in the middle also. And the crispy, sugary top layer of the brûlée!

If I will die tomorrow, I’ll probably eat an entire cake lol.

Food was great but the service was very bad. We requested for glasses of water after giving our orders and I had to follow up for 3 more times just for them to do it.

I guess I expected a lot from this place. The ice cream was good but the waffle, the caramel syrup and the chocolate were just average. Price: 390

Already expected the food to be pricey for the size but still wanted to try other dishes.
The flourless cake and the other cake (checkers looking) were so good! Beef tapa was also yummy.

I mean, it was fine. The ambience is nice. Waiters are polite. The sandwich was ok...but there wasn't that much turkey in it so the meat to bread ratio was definitely off kilter. My friend ordered pasta and his complaint (just like the last time we were here) was that the serving was TIIII-NY. Didn't need to hear him say it to believe it. I'd still give it another chance but for the meantime won't be going there anytime soon.

A new favorite I’ve recently discovered at Dean and DeLuca. For anyone who loves eggs or Salmon Eggs Benedict, you will like this one!

It is called The Scramble. It’s their flaky and soft and delicious croissant that’s blanketed with fresh scrambled eggs, topped with smoked salmon and then smothered over with spicy mayo and togarashi.

The mix of sweet bread with flavorful salmon and the texture of eggs is perfectoooo. BUUUUT, if you’re sensitive to spicy dishes like me, you may want to get that spicy mayo and togarashi on the side instead. It can get really hot really quickly but it’s so delicious you’ll keep eating and keep burning your stomach. Haha.

It’s pretty steep at P420 a pop but well worth it for days when you feel like you deserve a filling breakfast-y meal. :)

The first photo is how they usually serve it, the second is how they serve it with the spicy mayo and togarashi on the side!

What a sweet surprise. Dean and DeLuca Manila doesn't just make delicious pastries, they also make TDF aburi maki! I am shookt! 128561128514

I think I ~may~ actually prefer this over OOMA's salmon skin aburi. (It's not as saucy for one) 🤔🤔🤔

And and and, they have this charmingly sweet and smiley server who was quick to take (and replace!) my Korean Fried Cauliflower when I told him it was way too spicy. I don't know about you, but that rarely happens in Manila. 128525 Now if they can just be not so darned pricey. (In the photo is their Aburi Salmon Roll)

I’ve also tried their Salmon Aburi Sushi and that was good too. Now these things aren’t all that huge so I tend to get another dish to fill me up. Last time I had pasta with their Salmon Sushi. So you can imagine it can get pricey. Especially when everything at Dean and DeLuca seems like it starts at P500.

Meanwhile at OOMA, I can order about 3 of the Salmon Skin Aburi Maki for less than P1,000. Price wise, OOMA definitely gives more bang for the buck but if you want higher quality aburi, I recommend Dean and DeLuca’s. Plus you have waaaay more choices for dessert!

Service was good!
My friend's food which was the beef ragou pasta was good too!
Sadly, my order of grilled cheese wasn't. 128557 I read that there was apple relish included but I didn't think there would be so much of it! And in the bread too! Something like that should be on the side especially since it's an acquired taste. Also, the bread was too tough for my liking. Sandwich bread should be toasted on the outside and soft in the center. Ambience was nice though. If ever I were to go back I'd probably try either the turkey or Reuben sandwich. What can I say? I love my sandwiches! 128523

They serve really good pizza. Love the food but the serving was small for the price or items are just really pricey.

Love the Molten Vhalrona Chocolate Cake! I've never tasted something like it before, hence the price of P385(?).
Strawberry Lemonade P180 is better than the plain Lemonade. 128512

Pricey but desserts were great! As well as the staff and interior. 128077🏼

Dean & Deluca was my third stop prior to the rendezvoos at SARSÁ. I needed something light since I was somewhat full from the 2 breakfasts I had, so I opted to only order their lemongrass tea (₱130).

I've read many reviews about D&D on this app, as well as seen a few spots in the U.S., but I never really had a chance to visit any branch here, or there. Also, because I was saving what space I had left in my belly, I regret not ordering at least something to munch on to give a more proper review.

With that said, I did enjoy my lemongrass tea. It wasn't your average run-of-the-mill type teas that you can buy over the counter. It surely calmed my tummy down to where I was ready to battle another round with food.

What I enjoyed about the place is the ambiance D&D had both inside and out. I love straight lines and angles in their architecture. It had a very beautiful modern vibe to it. And when sitting outside, it was really quiet. The only thing you hear outside were the vehicles passing by. This was totally my spot.

I wish I could've said more about this place. Hopefully I get a chance to come here again within the next week or two to enjoy more of D&D than just their tea. Who's down? :)

Happy Eating!

I don't really eat greens but I love their avocado and poached egg sourdough tartine! 12852510084️ I always order this for breakfast. 128522

The salted egg croissant is delicious. Their cuban cheese rolls is a great alternative to Porto's cheese rolls! Hehehe

My Mom bought banana bread and it's also good. I mean.. Nothing extraordinary but it's good. Hehehe

I want to try their cakes next time.
