If you are in Zamboanga City and would like to try an authentic Tausug food, go here to experience a feast for your pallet!

Dulang - P700 (good for 5) - overall, 5127775

Inclusive of the following:

Beef Kulma - beef cubes in curry paste
Chicken Pianggang - chicken pieces in marinated in charcoaled spices
Utak-Utak - fried fish cake
Tiulah Itum - beef in broth of roasted coconut and spices

Satay was supposed to be included in the set but the do not have it on stock during our visit.

We also had Patil (5127775) as side order. Ot'd their version of empanada but the instead of meat, bean sprouts were used as filling! Perfect with vinegar!

We also had their version of a pancake (4127775), sorry forgot what its called! and banana fritters with coco jam (5127775) for dessert paired with Sulu coffee! - (5127775)

The cafe also have a nice interiors featuring batik cloths which are very common in this city.

I have nothing but good words for this restaurant. If you're visiting Zamboanga, you need to drop by and try this place! It's authentic Sulu food!

Cost: Very reasonable, but ask about the serving size. Some orders for two, or with free rice.

Food: Excellent! Some of the best Chicken Pianggang and Tiula Itum that I've tried. Their coffee and snacks are authentic, like the ones I ate when I visited Jolo.

Atmosphere: Really nice cultural interior design. Good for pictures and bringing foreign visitors.

If you want to taste authentic Sulu's delicacies this is the plae to be. Start with a Kahawa Sug (Brewed Coffee) P50 together with Jualan (Deep fried bananas P35 served with a tasty dip) and indulge your taste buds with a meal called Tiulah Itum (Black soup) beef in broth of roasted coconut and spices P135. Before you leave be sure to brought some pasalubong called Baolu P120 Panganan P120 and Brewed Coffee from Sulu P125. The place is also well ventilated.
