Designer Blooms Cafe is a good find at Molito near Alabang Town Center with a variety of menu that it offers. Minimalist design of the place with various flowers to order from. It can be hot on the afternoon though cause their place suits the afternoon sun right. But this is a good place for catch up or unleash your inner "tita"

You can choose among different options in their appetizers which we opt to try the buffalo tenders whose sauce is perfect for wings but for your convenience instead of wings you have big chunks of chicken tenders with ranch. I love the right spiciness or kick of that chicken. We also had the jalapeño cheese poppers which is perfect for those marinara sauce it comes along with. Bite size with oozing mozarella cheese. So good!

For the mains we tried their pastas like their truffled mac n' cheese with bacon strips. Now, even if I am a big cheese fan you cannot probably have this just for yourself cause the truffle flavor is really strong that it can be overwhelming. A small portion is enough to taste that mac n' cheese. We also had the bolognese which is a very beefy like spaghetti. I like how the wine taste like with their tomato sauce together it gives you that sour flavor so that the beefs doesn't get too overwhelming for you. We also tried their Margherita pizza which is good. It's a little dry though but already good enough considering how much we already had.

The staffs are accommodating. We were given a place at the second floor and almost own it the entire time we were there. For a catch up dinner or lunch with friends or a meal with your family around Alabang where you want a less mainstream meal and just a quiet place, this is a great choice.

Was quite hesitant and reluctant to try this place. I mean cmon... Food in a flower shop? Luckily the wife insisted to try it. We invited our ninong to join us for lunch.
The place was very quaint and as my wife calls it... Very cute!
We ordered
jalapeño cheese balls: very nice but the tomato sauce was nothing great.
Prosciutto pizza ala dear darla style. Nothing great
Truffle Mac and cheese: FTW!
Rosemary chicken: surprisingly good
Asian chicken salad: my favorite
Boneless buffalo chicken: not the best but very addicting
Over all a surprisingly good restaurant. Will be back

The ambiance of this place, i must say is very refreshing. I love flowers and they sell that too.

I have no problem with the food, just hope that they dusted the walls. Lol.

So one of my college best buds posted a message on our group chat asking for catch up date, it's not very common for this gal so I just had to. I'm coming from Los Baños because of our company team's outing and she's from Alabang the timing was just 'timely' 128521

Well going back to our conquest, she wanted to go to this place called Molito. It's near ATC, we had to walk under the angry sun (mind you!).

The place is not known yet but there's a lot of good restaurants in the area, unusual restos so if you like to try out something new I'd say you go here.

We walked along the strip and saw this restaurant, pretty stoked when I saw the facade. Designer Blooms as most of us know is a flower shop and so when I saw that it's actually a restaurant we just had to try it.

The whole place gives you that comfortable and girly vibes, don't forget the aroma coming from the flowers.

We ordered their Pepperoni Pizza, Bolognese and the white sauce pasta (forgot what its called 128514). The waiting time was like more than an hour? So if you're pretty hungry you have to extend your patience but all worth it. The food was superb! 128076

If you want to chill out with friends or you're a bae that wants to take out your baby out on a date it's a good place to go. 110881108811088

Truffle Mac and cheese tdf! Nuff said!
Joke Lang, Ako pa 128513
Had a get together with my friends here last weekend and we reserved the whole loft area for us so we would have a bit of privacy. We were supposed to have it here in our house but since the weather has been so iffy lately, we really can't have an outdoors thing set.
Going back, I think they've added some items to their menu like the chicken with quinoa and the fish fingers too but I still keep going back to the truffle Mac and cheese. Ugh so good! The pasta is homemade so it's a bit dense (compared to commercial brands) and the sauce is so rich and creamy with just the right hint of truffle. However, it's a bit heady so I have to stop eating every one in a while so I don't get 'umay'. Hubbybear got the tartufo pasta which was excellent as well.
My friends surprised me with a couple of slices of cake (super belated birthday celeb) 127856 so we got to try the Choctaw oblivion and the strawberry shortcake.
If and when you are in the south, you MUST try the chocolate oblivion! Mr sweet tooth Albert T ahem ahem! No pictures as it was devoured right away! Imagine divine chocolate cream embedded between layers of cake with a toffee crust!
Fortunately for my friends, I liked the strawberry shortcake more! Haha! Not too sweet, fluffy and just right to end a meal methinks.
Service was great as well, they even let us chill a couple of bottles of wine without corkage 128076🏼

The place looks really pretty and is a nice place for you and your girlfriends to hang out and eat.
We ordered the chicken, tartufo pasta and margherita pizza. All of which tasted good. We shared the food and it seems like the servings are good enough for the three of us. Waiter who served us is okay. Attended to our needs well since we were just one of the few customers. Might come back here next time!

My cousin and i decided to try designer blooms cafe bcos of the ambiance, we were attracted with the flowers. Hehe 128513 we just had margherita pizza, bolognese and a slice of chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream (not in the pic) i forgot the exact name of the cake. The pizza was ok, the pasta were slightly cooked bcos it was a bit hard to chew. the cake was too sweet good thing we just ordered one bcos its nakakaumay plus its pricey, it costs php245/slice. I dunno whats something special with their cake that it is that expensive. I expected that their servjng time will took long since ive read some reviews here but then it didnt. They served our order quickly and its all fresh from the stove. Hahaha! Might come back here but not soon cos their food are very pricey.

I gave a very generous five stars if only for their truffle Mac and cheese. It was divine!!! I've had it before and it was good but it seems better now! There was also a kinda crunchy topping on top that breaks through the creaminess of the sauce.
Also ordered the fettuccine carbonara, just ok. Good handmade pasta but could use some more oomph.
The panini had fresh spinach and artichokes but was surprisingly limp! Isn't it supposed to be crisp? A bit bland too.
But really, 5 stars for the Mac and cheese!

After a hearty lunch at yushoken, we headed over to designer blooms cafe for some dessert.
Really love the cute and eclectic interiors here. They serve pastas, sandwiches etc but I haven't tried them yet. Btw, we were the only Filipinos when we went, weird! Haha!
We got the chocolate overload (i think) and the blueberry cheesecake. The chocolate cake was really good, it had ganache, powder, nougat (yata) Etc. The blueberry cheesecake was good too, had real, actual cheese on top.
Less one star cos it was a bit pricey, our total bill was php500+

Been wanting to try this cafe cause of the place. I love flowers so much, that's why 127800

Was along the area so I decided to finally try the place. Went with hungry tummies and high expectations.

Ordered bowl of homemade potato chips with garlic aioli for our starter, Truffle mac and cheese and swedish meatballs something (forgot the actual name of the dish)

It was a smart move ordering starters. The service was so slow. (Considering only two tables including ours were occupied) It took awhile before the orders came out. Hence, incomplete dish in the photo. Our food would prolly be as cold as ice if we had to wait for everything to arrive. Kudos to the server though. He was the only one there besides the chef. I wouldn't even be surprised if he was the one cooking too 128514

Bowl of homemade potato chips with aioli was so good!! Or am i just really hungry? 128514 Kidding aside, it was really good. We even asked for 2 more rounds of the aioli dip.

The serving of truffle mac and cheese's serving looked small, but I guess it's just enough to get you full and not get overwhelmed with the truffle's flavor 128069 (i could finish a bigger serving though)

Swedish meatballs thingy was a disappointment. I think it's just three small pieces of meatballs on top of mashed potato as big as the balls. Plus, the meatballs were v bland. I mean I can't believe we waited around 40 mins for this dish. Not ordering this ever again 128078

Will give this another shot and try other dishes soon hoping to get a better experience! 128522 (one of my longest reviews here 128514)

I love their flower friendly interior. The place is very bright and welcoming. They have good presentation of their food and drinks. The service is excellent so I don't mind paying for the service charge. It is a bit pricey but a nice place to work or study throughout the day.

The place has a homey feel, a great ambiance plus it smells good so it was overall nice. They have a little flower shop on the corner which added to its uniqueness; they sell succulents too!

My friend and I ordered the Parma Ham Pizza - it's a thin crust pizza topped w prosciutto. Mushroom soup and Tomato soup with grilled cheese. The pizza's just right, I love thin crust so I enjoyed it. My friend loved it too :) The soup's also delicious! I don't know if it's just because I'm craving for tomato soup and grilled cheese for days or it's really really good. Hehe

Haven't tried their cakes yet but it look enticing so I might try them next time :)

I had the mushroom soup, greek salas and the pressed tuna sandwich.

The mushroom soup was A+! It had some truffle oil in it and it was really good.

The greek salad was good but the portion was really small. It also had an unhealthy-looking dressing. So if you're trying to be healthy, have it on the side.

The pressed tuna sandwich was really good! It was very healthy too.

Overall, it was good but nobody was eating here so I had my doubts in the beginning. Definitely a must try, not so expensive and good ambiance. Or maybe because there wasn't anybody.

Attention Southern Folk: Cronuts in Alabang!!

Last time I posted about Cronuts, it was Wildflour's I was talking about. I remember saying it was a bit to crispy for my liking and there was too little frosting on it. Well, who knew I'd find an even better Cronut down south! Designer Blooms Cafe has Nutella Cream cronuts and Belgian chocolate cronuts!

We tried the Nutella cream of course. It had a slight crisp on the outside but was soft and chewy on the inside. The filling was a bit sweet but did not overpower the best part: the generous Nutella frosting. MMMM!! Just as I had dreamed. Hahahah. What saved the Cronut from being overwhelmingly sweet was the cinnamon dusting that gave it a little twist.

At P95 a piece (versus Wildflour's P120), the cronuts may just tempt me to visit Designer Blooms Cafe again- despite their very very slow service. If not for the cronuts, DBC would definitely get less stars from me.

The place is very pretty. However, it is not advisable to come in big groups because the food takes a long time to arrive. We arrived in a group of 10 and there were about 8 more people in the restaurant aside from us. All in all, we probably waited for about an hour before our order got completed.

Their reason was that because the pasta was handmade. We have no problem with that but you would think they've already prepped everything beforehand as we don't believe they should be made entirely from scratch on the spot.

Was able to try all of their pasta and I'm sorry to say this but they lack flavor. The Seafood Pesto on the other hand had too much oil. Their Spinach-Artichoke Panini also took forever to arrive! And it wasn't even that good.

If you are still to order though, try their pizzas and mushroom soup. Those are the only thing in the menu that I can vouch for.

P.S. They add around 12% service charge to your bill.
