This is our all-time favorite mochi, Avocado mochi. They only use the best ice cream and that's Arce Dairy. I first fell in love with their mochi when I tasted it at Red Mango. This time, we also ordered Green Tea mochi it tastes bitter and i don't recommend others to order the same mistake.

For this week's Friday after-work treat, a friend and I headed to this place. It was pretty hard to find, the pin on the map isn't correct. It's further down Hemady street, a pretty small place. My friend thought there was an earthquake when it was just someone walking across the floor hahaha. It vibrates that easily.

They serve rice meals, pasta and some drinks aside from their specialty-mochis! Since we were hungry, we got french fries and their aglio olio. I also got their green tea smoothie something. The french fries were expensive and nothing special, just a regular serving of fries and melted quickmelt?? cheese and ketchup in separate sauce containers. Bleh, not worth my 90 pesos. The aglio olio was okay, not really wow-worthy either. It was 120 pesos. The green tea drink at 120 pesos as well was the most regrettable. It was like almost 90% crushed ice, not drinkable at all. I literally had to wait a few minutes at a time for me to be able to sip some liquid out of it. :( There were also ants crawling all over the table. huhu.

We decided to see if the mochi ice cream would be the saving grace. We got mango, brownie, brazo de mercedes and salted caramel. You have to wait for them to thaw out a bit first. But they were delicious! The brazo one was my favorite. I think I'll be sticking to their desserts next time.

Never have I thought that I would see a cafe like Dezato Mochi. Never have I thought that I would actually taste mochi as authentic and affordable as this place. The uniqueness and variety of their flavors are what struck me, especially those which I never imagined they could have. Personal recommendations are their Salted Caramel, Green Tea, and Brazo De Mercedes mochi...

Salted caramel mochi ice cream was yummy! So many other flavors available that I wanted to try as well, but I chose not to overdo it. Hehe. 128523

We also ordered the nachos with cheese dip, and fries; both were good. The place had free wifi, was cool and quiet -- a good alternative to the coffee shops most people go to to hang out these days.

Decided to get some mochi ice cream on the way home from lunch. I ordered salted caramel since there wasn't any brazo anymore :( boooo! I found it to be pleasant. Depending on the flavor, it's priced P38-58 per piece. Not bad, right? 4 stars for their mochi ice cream!

We probably came at the wrong time so the A/C was off and it was pretty warm inside. It wasn't as cozy as I expected, but we just had our mochi for take-out so that wasn't a problem.

It is pretty hard to find though. My parents looked for it earlier today and couldn't find it. It's just along Hemady St., crossing the E. Rodriguez intersection. You'll see a house with a staircase leading up to a cafe on your right before reaching the end of the road.

For my overall experience today, 3.5 stars. They have mochi truffles too which I hear are good! There are also other food items available--pizzas, pastas, rice meals, etc. Maybe I'll try it out one day!

My boyfriend and I were looking for an air conditioned place to chill out and watch shows in, but we were sick of being tambayers in Starbucks/CBTL so we thought of Dezato! Aircon AND wifi! Double plus!!!

It was extra hot that day so I ordered the Peppermint Pattie iced blended coffee drink! I loved the consistency, that it was cold and pepperminty!! My fave! Hehe but I found it a bit too sweet tho. My boyfriend had Italian soda, which is Sprite + fruit flavoring. The syrup made it super sweet! Not my type. He liked it tho. Haha

We got hungry so we ordered nachos with cheese and beef dip. The dip was surprisingly really good and came with a lot of chips. Super sulit for P180!

I really wanna go back and try the other stuff on their menu.. I saw that they had truffle pizza.. Hmm sounds yum!

And of course, our visit wouldn't be complete without mochi!! I had the red velvet mochi (P50), which was amazing btw! It had red velvet crumbs and cream cheese bits!!! Aahhh just talking about it makes me crave for it again! He had the mint chocolate chip mochi (P60), which was also yummy.. But mine was better!!! Nyahaha

This might just be my new tambay/study place! Another bonus is that very little people go there so it's quiet and very study-friendly! 128076128077128523

Quietly tucked at the end of Doña Hemady (not the side near Magnolia), this lil house-turned into cafe is a must visit for mochi lovers (like me!).127841127841 And by little I really mean little. The place is small and quickly fills up. You can also feel the floor vibrate whenever a person walks by.

Nevertheless, I find their mochis really good. 128077128077 They have wide array of flavors to choose from! My personal favorites are the dark chocolate, white chocolate with green tea and hazelnut spread with cream cheese. You can buy each flavor they have (in bite size form) to try them all out! They make them per order so you have to wait for a few minutes.

They also have Mochi ice cream that my friends and relatives rave about (I haven't tried them as I'm not an ice cream fan), and they also serve good food. I like their chicken tenders but their beer battered onion rings hardly taste of beer. 128528

Overall, this hole-the-wall cafe is a great place for meet-ups or for some alone time to catch up on your readings. 128522

I wanted to buy Mochiko's Mochi but since I'm tired going to other building, boyfie suggested to try Dezato Mochi!

• PLACE
- Just a small stall, having this fridge with tons of mochis, calling out your name! 128525

• SERVICE
- Average. They warned us to eat the mochi after 5 minutes, so it's a plus to me! 128077

• PRICE
- This is cheaper than Mochiko. Correct me if I'm wrong but Mochiko's price is 75 pesos, while Dezato's mochi is 55. Affordable! 128077

• Taste
- Well, all of the mochi has the same taste right? They only differ from the flavors they offer. Dezato's mochi has this thin wrapper which i like. Though campare to Mochiko, Cookie dough of Dezato is just ordinary. I still prefer Mochiko's Cookie Dough. But surely recommendable is Dezato's Brownie ala mode. With chunks of brownies and walnut in every bite. Sinfully good! 128525

To give in to our long-time craving for mochi ice cream, my friends and I went to Dezato Cafe. With the map and address on hand, we looked for this dessert place, and boy, it was hard. Fortunately, food bloggers posted their contact number on their reviews and we were able to ask for directions. With the help of a patient Dezato staff, we were able to find it. 128077 (The pin on the map is not correct though, 128532).

From a wide array of choices: from regular to premium and gourmet Mochi ice creams, we chose pistachio, green tea, dulce (or brazo, can't remember) and red velvet. Oh, these Mochi balls were all heavenly, making that struggle and circling around New Manila area to find Dezato all worth it! 128525

What can i say? Mochi is love, love, love.128525 Dezato Cafe carries a wide array of mochi ice cream flavors to choose from and they are super budget friendly. (Salted Caramel is my current favorite!) Ranges from Php50-70/pc. Plus the melt in your mouth mochi truffles are also superb!

Mochi! Mochi! Mochi!

This small place tucked away at the end of Hemady is awesome!

They have mochi that are like truffles... With chocolate inside. Flavors like dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, and Choco peanut butter. For the peanut butter lovers out there... You should try the Choco Peanut Butter one! 128513

There are also other flavors without chocolate... Like Yema, Yema with Cheese, and Hazelnut and Cream Cheese. And many many many more. Hehehe!

They also serve mochi ice creams with flavors like green tea, strawberry, salted caramel, chocolate, and a number of others. 128522

They recently opened a stall in Megamall and they often have stalls in food bazaars like the ones in Eastwood. 128516

So far, they have the best mochi and mochi ice creams! 128513 One of the top places on my list of desserts!

If you're looking for a cozy place serving good food and yummy mochi, then you should try this place. They provide big servings and the price is not that expensive. Perfect for lunch dates, for studying (which is what I usually do here), or for those seeking good food and good adventure. (:
