I went to the 1050 am showing of "Lights Out" on 07/23/2016. Only 10 minutes into the movie I walked out. The lost 2 rows of the cinema were occupied by a bunch of young "adults" who were behaving like spoiled little brats. They would not shut up, they were laughing and talking the whole time. Where was the cinema staff? Nowhere to be found. I will no longer waste my money going to any movie in SM Aura.

My favorite cinema! Aside from the cozy lazyboy chairs. This cinema offers free popcorn, personal butler, and it has limited seats. I'm not so sure but I
think the seating capacity is around 20pax or less? This movie house is a solid 127775127775127775127775. Why not 5? It's because SM cinema should better maintain or clean the seats, as sometimes I can feel from my seat residue of salt from the free popcorn at the back of the seats.

Just a 128221, downside of this cinema is that it just offers 2D viewing.

Watched Captain America: Civil War on its first weekend. Since I was on my alone time (the wife had work, lol), I was easily able to grab a seat in SM Aura's Director's Club. At P400, you get a decent Lazy Boy chair, free popcorn and, supposedly, premium service at the touch of a button.

Supposedly.

I missed the first 10 or so minutes, and was eager to get my free popcorn. Kept pressing the button and no one came. So I had to get out at one of the rare lull (as lull as it gets in this pretty action packed every minute movie) moments to order popcorn and ask what's free.

Saw two attendants at the reception and they were kinda slow and not that helpful. I mean maybe it was still 11 in the morning. But the Yellow Cab guy who was hard selling the P195 all you can eat pizza was doing a damn good job, sobrang in contrast to the other two guys assigned sa Director's Club. They seem Okay for gophers, but not well casted for the role. Maybe they were fillers. I've had SM staff, usually women, who've been better at that in other theaters. But for a price premium, SM should have hired better. I lasted so damn long outside and we weren't understanding each other (I was asking what was free and he kept mistaking my question for an order; well I was asking for both my freebie AND ordering more popcorn for myself, plus a drink), so I left my money, asked for cheese popcorn as the freebie and ordered sour cream for my paid large bowl of popcorn plus a soda.

He delivers to me about 20 loooong minutes later a sour cream popcorn freebie. When I tell him I ordered sour cream popcorn bowl and asked for a cheese popcorn for the free pack, he comes back later and gives me a big bowl of each flavor. Aaaaaaaaaargh! OMG, seriously??? He was trying but he wasn't that sharp. Hayyy.

Anyway less angst and more on the theater itself. The seats were decent but not that plush in terms of leather material. Black and seemed not as well maintained as expected. Plus no instructions on where to pull the seat back. Had to figure it out for myself. Sitting front and left, I can still see the screen pretty well, so it's well spaced. At only 25 to 35 total seating capacity, it seems pretty exclusive. I also like that you can order the tickets for SM Cinemas online in advance. That's nice. Ayala's been at this for a while with Sureseats, and Robinson's also lately. The sound was good, acoustics solid, though not as great as Imax or Dolby Atmos.

Overall, I'd rate this a 3 coz it wasn't a great experience overall. The 3 is generous. The service itself is a sure fire 1/5. Sayang. Director's Club should have service commensurate to its price and positioning, sharp, attentive and customer service oriented. The last of which isn't really something anyone would associate with SM. 128545

Their lazy boy chairs didn't impressed me, is it just me? 128517 Or maybe because I've tried the one at Uptown Mall, their VIP cinema. I can say that it's much better than this. Plus the price here is too expensive. Usually, for the price of 400 it is inclusive of a drink&/popcorn already.

It felt like just an ordinary cinema except for the chairs. Guess I won't be back to try watching movies here again. For me, it's not worth it 128517

Last month, we were supposed to watch Pan but the reviews were not that good. So we ended up watching The Martian at the Director's Club Cinema of SM Aura.

We actually went at SM Aura before 4pm and we were actually shocked that the tickets for the 8pm movie were already sold out. We just bought tickets for the next movie schedule which was also the last full show around 10:55PM.

Since it was our first time to watch at the Director's Club Cinema, we didn't know that they actually have La-Z Boy seats. I think the cinema can only accommodate 20-30 people. That was why we were not able to buy tickets for the earlier movie sched.

The 400-peso movie ticket also includes Popcorn and a butler service where you can just press a button to call them.

Overall, watching the movie in the Director's Club was really good. I also like the comfy La-Z boy seats! :)

This movie house seriously gives you the personal space you need in watching a movie. It was so comfortable I actually slept in until for a few minutes! Haha it also has a table in between 2 sofas so you and your friend won't have the time to discuss and giggle about the movie (if you're that type of a movie goer) hehe I forgot the movie I watched there but it was a good experience. :) They have free popcorn and you can have it delivered inside, too.

Backlog again. 9996128513

This was last week, during my birthday. 128513 Horay! 9786️ My family with my boyfriend watched Mocking Jay here at Directors Club. It was always a pleasure for me to watch here because the seats were really comfy. It may be a little worn out but still the relaxation was good. 128076 Don't expect for the popcorn to be that delicious because it's not. 128514 I ordered additional iced cold milo which was not so bagay with the popcorn but I bought it anyway. 128513 Okay naman. Nothing special. I love the movie btw! 128513 I love JLAW forevs 10084

Im disappointed with how this cinema has become after only a few months after my 1st review.

The seats, although it was comfy, had this funky smell. Me thinks they dont really clean and/or sanitize them in between screenings.

I raced about their Cheese Nachos from their snack bar because it had so much cheese. Alas, now it was so tipid, cheese sauce was so little and not enough for the chips.

How sad that it was only in the beginning that they did their best. Not going back here.

Although this was my first time at Director's Club. I'm sure that it only costs P350. I was surprised when I got to the ticket booth that it is P400. I didn't mind and proceeded to buy tickets. They gave us e-Plus tap to pay card thingies. What are they for anyway? Can someone explain it to me? Thanks. 128522

It is only now that I realized that SM ripped me off. I looked at my ticket now and it only shows P350 and saw another receipt for P50 as a sale for the card they gave me. They didn't even ask me if I wanted one and they shouldn't advertise the tickets as P400 if P50 goes to that damn card!

Anyway enough about that. So the tickets came with a free regular boring buttered popcorn. They should include at least a small bottle of water to push it down.

The lay-z-boys looked worn out. My seat's leather had some tears in it already. And it's not the de-pindot electric lay-z-boys as well which doesn't give you much control over your comfort.

The rows are too close to each other or the slope of the floor isnt enough because if I recline to as far as I want, the seat in front of me would already block my view.

Also, the small tables are required to be in-between seats. The seats we got were already next to eachother when we sat down. Then one of the staff asked us to stand up because she had to place the table in between.

Come on. How can you feel you're watching a movie with someone when they're a foot or two away from you. I mean the arm of the chair itself is already big, plus you have a table in between you. You can't even hold hands without having to stretch so far!

Anyway. I'd rather go to the cinemas at BHS. Even though it's P400 without popcorn, i'll still have a more pleasant experience.

Maleficient. 128513 Perhaps this would be my third time for this place for a review. Anyway... 128514

I opted to post the 'bar'. You always hear me rant about their comfy seats blah blah... 128514 I'll talk about their food and other things in the cinema.

First thing you'll noticed is the spacious lounge. Tho I think the seats there are not enough for everyone who'll watch. I think they should make up to that. And their mini bar. You're not supposed to bring food inside, so I guess you'll probably stick to the few choices. But the movie comes with one popcorn. I tried their soda with strawberry. Just like soda floats without ice cream. Perfect with the popcorn. 128076

An unexpected movie night. After dinner, dad suggested to see a movie yesterday at Directors' Club in Aura. I did not hesitate to go and get tix for us. I heard Divergent was great plus Directors' Club is the perfect movie theatre. I have so much to say about the movie. 128513 Let me just "make kwento". 128514

The female protagonist was a little chubby for the role.
The male protagonist was you know, why do I always fell for the character. 128514128514128514
The duration was quite long though I would not mind if I don't have work tomorrow.
The screenplay was well written for me.
The whole movie was an original for me, I've never seen anything like that though I remember "first day high" from the movie. lol. Through the division of factions. It was never a single "hunger games" replica. Making it one of my favorite movies. 128513128076127909

As for Directors' Club, it is one of my favorite movie house. 32 reclining seats, with your own free popcorn. Seats are so relaxing where you can bring your feet up and eventually fall asleep though I doubt you would because the screen is perfect, just the enough size and clarity. 128076 Exception: If you're watching a boring movie.

128205 My reviews are based on my experiences. Places are not all glam and glittery, they have flaws and cons, so don't expect stars poppin' on my page. And praises about this and that.

We have our own opinions and I guess that makes Looloo interesting, we could share our thoughts and comments about a thing or two. If you happen to hate what I said, no offense. That is what I think. That is what I know.

No hatin', just start eating. 128522

You think you'd get some sort of pass from the mandatory SM movie commercials when you avail of the DC ticket, but Noooooo! 128529

We watched Papa Piolo's movie here and the cinema was good as expected, what I don't like was the frequency of the commercials and the lack of soon-to-show movies.

I mean, c'mon, if I wanted to watch commercials, I should've watched TV at home, right??

And I was wondering about their budget in interiors because the leather of the La-Z boy i sat on was already ripped... And it's in Aura... Which is supposed to be high-end... AND new. 128528

I really wanted to watch Snowpiercer and this was the only cinema that has this movie. No choice but to pay P350! 128561

128077 Big lobby with cute sofas
128077 Super comfy lazy boy seats
128077 Four trailers
128077 Nice video quality
128077 Awesome movie

128078 When you enter the cinema, amoy PAAAA agad! 128548 (no people yet! Err)
128078 Plain lang flavor ng popcorn and you cannot upgrade it to cheese even if you are willing to pay! 128530
128078 No free drinks
128078 Something wrong with the audio
128078 frigid and inhospitable attendants

Even if the movie was great, I should've waited for the dvd nalang. My P350 wasn't that worth it especially because of the bad service.
