Not Camiguin. Not Leyte. Not Bohol.
Introducing Coron's very own - Ditaytayan Island. Nestled in isolation lies this majestic paradise. Clean, unspoiled and serene. There was no one in the island when we arrived. I felt giddy and excited and jumpy all over because it wasn't originally in my itinerary.
The original plan: we chartered a boat to go to the farther islands of Coron (Malcapuya, Bulog and Banana).
After Malcapuya, our boatman asked us if we wanted to go to this beautiful sandbar which was just a 10-minute ride from Malcapuya. Of course we excitedly said yes!
I didn't know about the island until we went there. Even if it's just a few minutes away from the more crowded Malcapuya Island, there were no other tourists but us. It was an amazing experience to have it all to ourselves.
The long stretch of pristine white sand surrounded by turquoise water was BEAUTIFUL. Like really beautiful.
If you have the chance to go to Coron, don't miss this! It's worth it.
Don't forget the 'leave no trace' policy, okay? Let's keep our beaches clean for our future generation to see. ️
