Finally a looloo review! 128514

It's been months since we last visited Megamall and I must say, ang daming bago! 128562 Siyempre we have to try something from the new food spots.

We ordered Dojo milk soft serve based on the recommendations here and wow! It has that milky after taste similar to when you eat powdered milk, but cold and wet haha! 128514128514128514 Anyway, this must have been great with cereal, we'll try that next time because 150 for 4 oz. ice cream is like ginto and I'm not yet that crazy to try that. 128514

For a trigger-click-happy like me, I'm so lovin' the multi-photo feature here in |ooloo! 128513

This place has been in my to-try list for quite a while now, so when I saw this in Megamall's Food Hall, I seized the chance!

Dragged the whole fambam to help me decided with the flavors – and ended up getting just one 128514128540

However, the flavor variety just made the selection process more difficult. Having tried around 4 flavors, by consensus, we've got the Miso Sake - tasted like miso soup with ice cream consistency.

But don't get me wrong, Wasabi Light was good (this is actually my choice, outvoted by my sibs), so is the Black Sesame and Green Tea as their bestsellers.

Looking forward to try out more of these.. When I come back! 128521

After reading a few reviews about Dojo's new milk soft serve ice cream, I decided to check it out after lunch at Megamall yesterday...

So compared to the other soft serve ice cream cones (Mcdo, family mart) it's kinda pricey but still definitely cheaper than their regular cups of flavored ice cream which costs a whopping 150 bucks for a tiny 4 oz. cup 🙄

You have the option of choosing to have it in a cone @85 or in a cup @95, you can also add cereal bits for 10 pesos... I initially ordered an ice cream cone but didn't really find their cone enticing 128514 I much prefer the sugar cones, so on a cup it was... The cereal looked really tempting so yeah I added that too! 'Whoa! Twas a really generous cup of ice cream, I had a hard time finishing it! I loved the crunchy feel of the cereal though 128523 and the ice cream was creamy and yummy...really good! It was kinda messy though coz the cereal bits kept falling off my cup as I was walking around.

Lesson learned? It's best to finish your ice cream right there in the food court! Walking around the mall with it was definitely not a wise move 128541

Aaaaaaaand my sister Peanut D (and her lame recommendations) strikes again! 128514 Joke lang.

She was very excited for me to try out Dojo's milk soft serve ice cream so I was excited to try it out too. My first bite (BITE???) was pretty good. But I was deceived. It (the flavor) got boring after the first few slurps. It wasn't like Milkcow. 128542

I will stick to buttercream flavor next time. 🙄

After all the eating I did at Shang and Megamall, decided to end it as the night drew to a close. And what better way to do that, than with ice cream! Yaaaay! Not just any ice cream would do, though. Therefore, I decided on Dojo!
I hurriedly headed to their stall at the
food court-ish area of Mega Fashion Hall.
I've always liked Dojo's ice cream flavors and now I wanted to check out their new soft-serve ice cream offering. They offer their milk soft serve in cup or cone, and you have the option of adding cereal bits for 10 php.

I decided to have it in cone (85 php) and had the lady at the counter add the crushed cereal over it. So I paid almost a hundred pesos for an ice cream cone, literally ten times the amount I would regularly pay for McDo's own soft-serve ice cream version (I can't help but compare these types of ice cream to this one hahaha). Fairly pricey, yeah. Buuut it is still cheaper than other high-end soft-serve ice creams. The size is also kind of substantial and the taste was on point. I liked how the smooth, creamy milky taste contrasted the crunchy cereal. It was good naman!

Went again today and yup, THE best. Their buttercream ice cream is so good! My dad also liked it! My mom thought it was too sweet but that the milk ice cream was too bland sooo... they mixed the buttercream and the milk soft serve ice cream. 128563

Not a bad idea but I wouldn't say it was a great one either haha. I say just stick to the buttercream. 127846

After seeing Pam L's review for their new milk soft serve ice cream, I knew I had to try it for myself! Perfect timing because Roegan T, Denise J, and I found ourselves in Megamall a couple days ago!

This one's a little pricey at Php 85 but if you think about Honey Creme and Milkcow, this is still cheaper. (Also when you compare it to Dojo's regular ice cream) Plus they give you a generous amount of ice cream. 127846

Ok now in terms of the taste, it IS good I'll give them that. But it's no Milkcow. (Loyal pa din kahit na bigo lol) The cone can also be made better.

But overall, while I really like this, I think I'll go back to getting their buttercream ice cream next time.

PS. Thanks to Gino J for the VSCO filter tip!

WAHHH THIS IS SO GOOD OMG. 128557 Milk soft serve! So milky and creamy!!! A bit pricey at P85 but I think it's sulit because look at that swirl! Not tipid at all. Don't know why I only tried this now.

I'll try the other flavors in pints next time, I swear. Haha.

Dojo Japanese Ice Cream newbie 128513 I know, loser right?!

They actually use Hokkaido Milk for this thus making it creamier and richer compared to the regular ice cream. I chose the Black Sesame flavor since it's one of the bestsellers. First spoonful and it was pretty good! Yippee...I taste some toasted sesame seeds in there 🤗 which gave off some added crunch, and I loved that it wasn't too sweet! The only drawback? Expensive @150 for that tiny 4oz. Cup 128561128542

My sister was not so happy with her lunch last Sunday so she requested for dessert after. We saw Dojo's stall before leaving Mega Food Hall and I suggested she get a small pint (so I can share HAHA 128541) instead of getting a drink from Starbucks.

We were torn between Black Sesame and Green Tea so I just asked the lady what their bestseller is. I went with her suggestion to try Black Sesame. A pint sells for P150 but thanks to my mom’s Senior Citizen card, we only paid P107. HAHAHA! 128514 We loved the bold, toasty, nutty flavor of their ice cream. It might be an acquired taste for others since it can be a bit strong. The ice cream itself was smooth and creamy with some sesame bits mixed in for extra crunch.

I still love Manila Creamery’s version because of the datk chocolate shards but Dojo's is a pretty good alternative. 128523

After trying a lot of flavors (thanks to the server Dhin :) ), I opted for Green Tea.

Slight bitter notes. Creamy taste overflowing in your mouth. Almonds do their job of cleansing and balancing your palate. It has no weird aftertaste; it's flavor slowly dissipates in your mouth, leaving you wanting for more.

I would have rated it full stars if not for the steep price. Nevertheless, their interesting selection of flavors really makes me want to try more.

Given that I rarely go to Megamall, I decided to make the most of it by hunting for Dojo ice cream. Lady at the cashier told me that their bestsellers are buttercream, black sesame, and miso sake, and she let me taste all of them. I must say I liked all but ended up ordering a cup of the miso sake. The flavor is unusual and difficult to describe. Let's just say it tastes a little like cheese but with an aftertaste. Texture is creamy. Price is steep at P150 a cup.

When its Japanese ice cream I usually go for green tea, black sesame or red azuki but since most of the reviews raved about buttercream, I decided to go for it! Glad I did! It was creamy and not too sweet. The girl at dojo didnsay it was their best seller and Im not surprised that it is. Craving for some dojo now! 128523

If you haven't tried this Hokkaido Milk Ice Cream yet, you're missing out on a lot! It was creamy, super milky and not overly sweet. This is worth breaking your diet for and well worth paying the Php85 I spent! 128077🏼127846128523

Revisited Dojo after seeing Sous V's reviews!128077🏻

Dessert came in the form of ice cream tonight... I wanted to be more adventurous and try one of their unexpected flavors... I tasted the wasabi light first--128513128513128513... Not for me!128517 too real food in taste and very far from dessert... I might look for dessert #2 after...

So I settled on Buttercream, rich and silky in texture... Puts the cream in ice cream (no green-minded thoughts please, you know I'm talking to you...). I liked this sweet, caramel-ish flavor, but my favorite remains to be the Black Sesame...10084

Tried their green tea ice cream. Not bad, really. I just hope it was a bit cheaper. But wth, who doesn't love ice cream? Go ahead and spend your hard-earned money for a good dessert.

I can't help it. I really love this ice cream! So now I got the double cup. I was aiming for the miso sake but they ran out of it in double, so i got buttercream (2nd pick). I finished it all for myself! Haha! Dojo on my mind.
