My daughter's fave ebi tempura is here - crispy and long. Nice kani salad too!

Craving satisfied! Loved the sweet gyudon and the crabmeat ramen (forgot the actual name). Such huge servings for affordable price. Even the sashimi. 128076

Food was great and the servings were big but one thing that made me sad was the service. The lady was pissed off and slammed the table a bit forcefully because we were a group of 7 and we wanted the plushy seats. When she took our photos and we reviewed it, there weren't any and we have to take it ourselves!!! It seems that she was having a bad day and she is taking it up on us.

This is one of the few restaurants at Solenad we haven't tried yet so when my cousins craved for Japanese, I suggested this place.

Food:

Nigi roll and California roll - It was falling apart between the chopsticks. It was okay but the "topping" was too huge for me. Actually the whole roll was too big. 128514

Tempura - The prawns were huge and fresh! Not liking the breading though.

Seafood Teppan - Too saucy but it was okay.

Service:

SLOW!! And to think we were the only customers. The servers were snobbish too.

Ambience:

Looks and feels dirty. I don't usually wipe the plate and utensils with tissue but this time I felt the need to do it. I'm so glad I followed my instinct! Some of them were dirty! As in literal naging black tissue ko. Ucccccckkk!!! 128534

Will go I back?? NEVER. 128530

Where should i start my review when i have so many things to rant about?!
Food - worst katsudon i have ever tried. Nakakaumay na nakakasuka habang kinakain ko sya. Their cali mango roll was so-so. Their miso soup was too salty. The only redeeming factor was the ramen which was okay (but not great). My friend's gyudon was cold and the gyoza looked too oily.
Service - the wait staff looked sloppy. Yung isa looked like he just woke up and went straight to work. Then the story of the "excuse-me, kidnap-toyo" thing the waitress pulled on us. Gosh! This resto could not even provide a bottle of soy sauce per table considering the price of their food! Buti pa sa karinderya madalas may sariling condiments per table. Plus we had to wait 30 mins for my friend's daughter's food because it seems they forgot it! And we followed up thrice before they actually cooked it!
Ambiance - looked like a fast food resto. Actually mas okay pa ata ang ibang fastfood restos.
Why one star? Well because there are no negative stars in looloo.

My goodness, the food servings here are huge. No pics though as my iPad is decommissioned :(

My mum, aunt and I shared a bowl of sukiyaki, 8 pieces of ebi tempura, a sushi platter, and one bowl each of plain and japanese fried rice. We took home two pieces of prawn, half the fried rice and the untouched bowl of plain rice. And we were almost bursting at the seams.

The sukiyaki was just the right amount of characteristic sweetness, and it is enough to feed two by itself. The beef is a little tough, but we were not expecting Wagyu here. Everything else though, from leeks to onions to the glass noodles to the tofu and shiitake mushroom, is just awesome.

Tempura prawns were big. The batter was not too oily. Sushi platter was two pieces of crabstick and four large pieces each of tuna and salmon. Not bitin at all.

We couldn't help but look around, and rubbernecked at other patrons' orders. The california and crazy maki were of futo maki proportions, and the ramen can easily feed two people (or one very, very, very hungry male).

Pricewise, it would be a stretch if you were dining alone and wanted a lot of variety unless you were prepared for the bill of almost 1k. But if you're sharing, the price is really worth it. And really, you need only get one dish and you'll be full until tomorrow, so you can actually get by with spending less than 500.

The waitstaff are also attentive, considering there were only three of them, and they do not scrimp on condiments - they gave us three bowls of dipping sauce for tempura and three large calamansi for the sushi.

I think my family has a new go-to place if we feel like turning Japanese.

I really do not have a gauge to tell whether a Japanese restaurant is authentic or not, but this one has been on top of my list since it opened years back.

I was already able to try a handful of dishes here and the one's I keep coming back for are their Crazy Rolls (must try or die!), Chicken Teriyaki, and Gyudon. These are typical Japanese dishes, but Domo Tomo surely gave them dignity!

Nothing too special with their beef ramen. Grrrr! Their service also needs a lot of improvement.

Been patronizing Japanese Restaurant this past few days and good thing there are lots of Jap Resto in the area. Domo Tomo grabbed our attention last night.

We ordered enoki bacon roll, mango cali roll, and beef and gyoza ramen to satisfy our cravings. Enoki tasted so good and i like the idea how it was combined to the mushroom. Mango cali is a must try, they've got a big roll in here. Beef and Gyosa ramen are just okay, not too special. If you gonna remove the toppings (gyoza and beef) the ramen would turn out dull 128541

3/5 for this resto!
