Mushroom Soup+ Lemonade + Don Vito Fettuccine

Mushroom Soup: this comes with a thin piece of focaccia bread. The soup is reminiscent of either campbell's or your typical ready to make mushroom soup. Sorry, but i don't recommend you order this.

Lemonade: At first sip, the initial reaction i had was: Boy that is sour! No doubt lemonades were used because of the very sour taste. I felt like i wanted to add salt to this drink! But then again, you somehow get accustomed to the taste and surprisingly turns out to be good-- well, eventually of course. Just don't be intimidated with the initial sip. 128522

Don Vito Fettuccine: A marriage of sauces: white and red. At first bite, the red sauce was rather overpowering. So i tried mixing it again hoping that i'd taste the white sauce somehow. Still to no avail... It ended up tasting like a very creamy red sauce pasta. Nakakaumay--that's how i'd describe the dish. I suggest you try this dish but mix it up with other dishes and eat with someone. It's best for sharing to remove the "umay" factor. On a side note, i loved the dried tomatoes on this dish. It was chewy and had just the right saltiness to it. 128522

After dinner we decided to have sweets. We stopped by at this restaurant when we saw the crowd enjoying the band.

Yeah.., thay have back to back band... I forgot the name of the group but I was really amazed with the band when they sang gangnam style as requested by Koreans audience.

The gelato was good as well. 128540

Boracay mandarin hotel will be my home for the next couple of days. Im here at the beautiful island of BoracAy for work. First stop is the Italian restaurant called Don Vito Ristorante. As the sun is sizzling hot, i ordered their coconut shake. It's very thick and you can bite on fresh coconut bits! Appetizers ordered were calamares and french fries. Then for the main dish, it's their pasta bolognese. Steady for all! Happy tummy! Hope the other food in their menu is as reliable and yummy. #LabanManny #mynesteabeach

I didn't like the cookies and cream gelato. Their pizza was thin crust and tasted alright.

Finding a good restaurant in Boracay is such an easy task. You can walk from end to end of the white beach stretch or you can turn to your phone and check the internet. Since 3G signal was so good, surfing the net was a breeze.

We were meaning to try Manana but the little girl requested for some pasta so we searched for a new place. Din Vito caught my attention. It's one of those classy restaurants you'll see along station 2. The place was all made up, formal setting but they don't mind you coming in all sandy and wet. They've got nice furnishings and fixtures, wine bar, well dressed staff, proud menu and al fresco dining just beside the outdoor pool of Boracay Mandarin.

It's an Italian restaurant so for sure we'll get a load if pasta choices here. Looking at their menu, we got the following ---

128205Classic Spaghetti with Meat Balls - I was enticed with how the meatballs looked in the menu. They looked big and succulent. When this was served, I was annoyed because I felt betrayed! WHahaha! 128548128561128548 The meat balls were small and looked really dry. It was also my first time to see boiled eggs in this type of dish. Anyway, the pasta was al dente and the sauce was more than just tomato sauce and meat balls - it had a generous heaping of grounded meat. The spices used were strong, and the sauce was overall leaning toward the sour end. It was good. I liked it.

128205Meat Lover Italiano - made up of a tomato sauce base with Italian sausage, ham, chicken breast chunks, tomato slices and lotsa mozzarella! The crust was too thin for me and was crunchy. I was kind of looking for a soft note in the crust but didn't kind that in this pizza. This was not my favorite but the hubby liked it.

128205Don Vito Carbone Hamburger alla Griglia - which simply means "Don Vito Charcoal Grilled Burger! Yeah! This was huge! And tasty and yummy and I liked it a lot! Grilled beef patty with honey-cured ham, crispy bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese and mayo in a grilled bun. It was filling, protein packed and a knock out! It also came in with soggy fries and a side salad which I liked - an assortment of veggies with pineapple in a sweet mayo dressing.

Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The staff were attentive but can get annoying. Our server checked on us about 10 times (or maybe that's a little too much 128518) every time he sees that we just started eating a particular dish. He was even there watching when I took a BIG bite of the burger. I think it was too much rapport that it tends to be unnatural.

Anyway, Don Vito serves good Italian food in a very classy ambiance by the beach.

I apologize for the picture. Blurry and I ruined the presentation hahaha. I dug right in, my parents and I were so hungry!!!

I luuuurrrveee the whole concept of this restaurant. The Godfather trilogy is one of my favorites and the ambience of the place is so chill, I just fell in love. But we decided to eat outside in the tent since there will be a live band and fire dancers.

The ribs I ordered were sooooo good! So soft and chewy and more than what I paid for! Unlike other places *cough Friday's *cough .... Lol

After our meal my daddy and I decided to get a bucket of SML , and last night was a night i will remember. That was the night I became legal to drinking hahahaha i'm such a youngin' -___-

Well.. I'm definitely coming back. This december :D heehee

The formaggio mozzarella sticks with the sweet balsamic salad was a great appetizer. The flavors blend so well and the cheese was tasty too. We also had the shrimp linguini pasta which was a very hefty serving. Shrimps we're very fresh too. Not bad after a long boat ride.
