Try their baby back ribs and pizza. The rest west good but not too wow. Ambiance and interiors were really nice though.

Service quite slow during our visit.

my bff chose this restaurant to celebrate her birthday. i was quite impressed with the interiors which had a warm and cozy feel.

we had reservations and was seated under the stairs with our own private world. we had privacy but then it felt weird having to eat at this nook.

i arrived super early and since i had a lot of time to kill, i first ordered the Dessert Cannoli which tasted good. next was the french fries which was so-so.

when my friends arrived, we tried the baby back ribs in bbq sauce, gambas al ajillo pasta, dong juan's all-meat special pizza, filipino sisig and pitcher of herbed iced tea.

for starters, the baby back ribs was awesome. the meat was tender and i liked that i didn't get that "umay" taste. we also liked the pasta and pizza. sisig was just okay. herbed iced tea tasted like basil.

all in all, i will come back to try out other dishes. i appreciate the swift service and genuine smiles of the staff.

Overall, i think dong juan food is a little more than just okay, but the place is too lovely for three stars, so i just advise you to just try this one out.

This was father's day and i just joined the Cheng-Yu family to their father's day special. The place is by the corner of scout reyes and mother ignacia and will be a little not easy to locate. It has a small entrance, but as you go inside, it has a really spacious. The theme is really filipino with the narra stairs and chairs (at least some of them and capiz lights. It got four function rooms upstairs and the function room we were staying at was loft type.

Guess who surprised us? It's papa awi (i dunno this guy but he's popular daw sa chismis talk show in the am frequency radio) he's the one who really entertained us. He told us more about the place: the place was originally lola basyang's residence. He also told us that lola basyang is not a female but a male named severino reyes who was just hiding from some sort of Spanish power... Anyway, so much of history, he told us that there wasn't much change done from the original house of lola--in fact they still kept some old tables from lola's time.

Then i asked why dong juan? (i actually thought don juan) he told me it's because their prices are really affordable--any dongs and juans can afford it. Dong is for visayans daw..
(IMO, still, i don't see any class C or D here, so, not! Pero pwede na the prices are lower than other filipino restos around128518)

128204 asian style crispy pork knuckles @489php
For me i cannot distinguish differences of crispy pata from others. It can only be good or bad. This ne is good enough. The usual soy-vinegar dip is a normal pair with this. Hypertension prec.

128204128525 baby back ribs in barbecue sauce @289php
Yes. One of the affordable ribs in town. I like how tender it is, the BBQ smothers in your mouth. However the serving is not that big. I think i can eat two orders this. I still think the serving at the pilgrims is al lot bigger. But i like the taste anyway.

128204128525 gambas al ajillo pasta @259php
A good pasta with a lot of bonito flakes and gambas! What more can i say? The pasta is just aldente.

128204128525 dong juan's cheese and garlic pizza @279php
GET PIZZA HERE ok?! You will not regret eating the thin crust (but according to papa awi it's thick dough daw) pizza with toppings upto the edges! Cheesy and garlicky (duh128517128514)

128204128525 dong juan's all-meat special pizza @369php
GET PIZZA HERE because you can also choose to flavor your dough with basil (forgot the other flavor) this one got pepperoni, salami, pork and ground beef! Flavors upto the edges. Wlang sayang

128204 filipino sisig in olive oil @149
Papa awi says it's healthy cause it's olive oil... Hmmm... Partly, but then it's also filled with the pork's fats. Well i guess it's just less dangerous than the rest. Pig mask crunchy... Not my type hehehe.

128204 all meat pochero @289
Beef were tender. Iam missing the bananas in this pochero though, i was thinking of tomato base but this one is something else.

128204 dong juan green salad @249
Refreshing and the serving is just right fof 2-3 pax.

128204 dong juan fried rice @369 good for 4
Beef cause it has some ground beef. A little too dry. Good thing i don't eat rice that often na.

128204128525 calamansi blush
I love this. ANOTHER GET THIS PLEASE. It's a natural calamansi juice with preserved strawberries and honey at the bottom for the total sweet-sour blend! Make sure you mix it so you would see your calamansi juice blush!

128204128525 herbed ice tea
I like the mix of mint, basil, lime in the iced tea. This is just uberly refreshing.

There's wifi and a few power outlets in this function room however because the whole place was overly jampacked at 7pm on a sunday. Wifi did not work. There's gender specific CR sa 1st floor. There's also a cool common faucet that you need to step on something to equip it.

Just check IG for the pictures of the place. Too bad we could only upload 10 photos here--but still better than 1 128540

When my friend told me about Dong Juan, I thought it was a korean foodie place in my mind spelled out as donghwan hehehe... surprisingly it was a fusion Filipino restaurant done with a lot of exciting twists!

The modern- rustic feel of the place was truly inviting, their dining areas gives you choices whether to go al fresco, indoors with the brick and wood happenings, and the upper level with a glassed balcony looking outwards the qc suburbs.....visually exciting even at the entrance with the row of bikes :)

So we chose to dine inside to gaze at the high ceiling, and the cozy interior happenings....their menu has fairly priced foodies which I think were worth it when dinner was served...nice presentation as well, felt a bit of pinoy rustic gourmet hehehe.....

Let's see, we got chili wings for appetizers, but requested it mild spicy 128522 also tried the sisig, which was the chewy type & not the crunchy type but still deliciously cooked.... Of course we also ordered the famed ribs, which was good as well....there's also the fresh salad.... And the recommended all meat pizza that still had green peppers and olives hehehe.... Oh and the herbal iced tea which was refreshing and had a bit of a leafy aftertaste128522

Overall, the choices we got were satisfying enough, value for your kaching would surely be found here aside from a happy tummy 128522128077🏻10084️ I'd definitely go back to Dong Juan again 128522

Pardon for the disney tsumtsums, hehehe 128522128522128522

This place is good both for meetings and dates. It is well-lighted and there is a feeling of personal space since there's ample space between tables.

There are also meeting rooms for groups of 10-15 pax on the second floor.

The food... the food! Where do I even begin? I love love love their flavored dough pizza! If its your first time here, make it a point to order any pizza with flavored dough. You will not regret it! Another personal favorite is the cebu native chorizo pasta. The mix of the sourness of the tomatoes and the sweetness of the chorizo is a match made in heaven. Another recommended entre is the chili wings. The herbed iced tea is also a staple when eating here. It's so refreshing and it tastes really good.

The only boo boo for this place is their dessert. The brownie ala mode was a big let down.

But overall, I loved my experience here. Excellent ambiance food and value for money.

We celebrated our Valentine's lunch in this resto. We were very fortunate they still have spare table for us when we got there.

The guard on duty was very nice when we reached the place, they do not have a vacant space where we can park our car. So we told him to please tell the restaurant to reserve a table for two while we were looking for parking space. He was very accomodating and friendly. 128522

When we got inside the place, the servers were also friendly they all greeted us. We were placed on the first floor since their second floor was occupied because of a birthday celebration.

We ordered Gambas Al Ajillo Pasta, Baby Back Ribs in Barbeque Sauce, Dong Juan's All-Meat Special Pizza in Flavored Dough and Kalamansi Blush.
I loved their pasta because of its softness and the flavor of shrimps were perfect I also tasted some bean sprouts. It goes well with bonito flakes sprinkled on top of this dish. The ribs were very soft I wish I ordered a rice too! For the pizza, I think I found my new favorite 128513. The flavored dough was so good it really complemented the meat in our pizza. And lastly, the Kalamansi Blush was very delicious I loved the strawberry on the bottom it created a pink color while stirring the drink. All in all, I was very happy with our food. For sure we will be back 128522. And oh, they also give me a heart balloon as their Valentine's treat for their guests. 10084️ Thank you and Happy Valentine's day looloo friends!

We ordered a set meal for 5 which includes crispy pata, fried rice, seafood soup and ribs. It also comes with herbed iced tea. We ordered additional brocolli mushroom. Their ribs were super yummy and tender! I also love their iced tea. Other food items were okay. Service is commendable.

This one is a proud product of the Visayan region. Now gaining foothold among Manila's discerning foodies who value good food at very afffordable prices.

Place may not be Instagram worthy but cozy enough to enjoy the good meal you are about to have here.

I was dazzled with the food we had like the fried chicken wings with chili, shrimp pasta with bonito flakes, the dong juan fried rice and baby back ribs.

Left with a full stomach, a grin on my face and still with enough money on my wallet.

It's pizza, pasta, and salad late lunch on a bedweather Sunday.

Gambas al ajillo pasta - Pasta was cooked al dente in aglio olio sauce with steamed shrimps as toppings. They were generous with the shrimps. Nothing really special with the dish. I still prefer their marinara-based pasta.

All-meat Pizza - It says in the description it's packed with an all-meat selection. So I was hoping that it's brimming with toppings...sadly, it wasn't. I can count with my two hands the number of toppings on top of the pizza.

Dong Juan Salad in Vinagrette dressing - this I really enjoyed. Flavorful and it has bacon bits. 128513 They got me with the bacon bits. Lol.

Gambas - A bit spicy but it's packed with flavors. It even has alingue! It would've been perfect with rice. 128077🏼

Will I go back again? Yes...but not for the pizza. 128514

- side street parking
- spacious and cozy
- has a second floor though we weren't able to have a look upstairs. May doctors' conference daw
- Prices are just right
- We ordered Gambas pasta (Php 259), Baby back ribs (Php 200+) and iced tea. The pasta was good, a bit oily but I didn't mind. Maybe it's supposed to be that way. The ribs were rubbery, though the sauce was delicious. I think Racks has still the best ribs
- the owner was so nice, he kept chatting with his customers. I think he is a news(?) anchor from DZMM.
- the place is aesthetically impressive, both from the outside and inside.
- will definitely come back 128077
