Banawe Monday for the husband looking for some car stuff. Tagging along the daughters, we were initially camping in Jollibee because their Banawe, coe Maria Clara branch has a playplace. When the bagets got tired of playing, I needed to look for a better place to wait.

Enter Drip Cafe...

Located just across Jollibee, from the outside it looked inviting. With a second floor to boot, their wifi is fast and their menu is proud. Coffee, tea, fruity iced tea, fruit shakes, pastries, cakes, pasta, sandwiches - they got you covered.

| We got a slice of their New York Cheesecake that was topped with preserved blueberries. For around 170Php, this was just okay. The cheesecake wasn't as tart and it was a little firm. Definitely not freshly made.

| Iced Chocolate for around 150Php - was OKAY as well. It had a grainy texture and tasted like powdered chocolate. They tried to make it look good though.

| Hot Mocha for less than 150Php - served in a mug bigger than what I was expecting. I wish they executed the latte art a little better than what you can see in the pic. I mean, it was obvious that they messed it up and I wish they just made me another cup. I would rather have just a foam instead of a messed up latter art. It's not right. lol

| Hubby also tried their Raspberry Iced Tea which was their "best-seller" according to their staff. ummmmm it was okay. Your usual hot tea with ice, add A LOT of raspberry syrup.

Being very generous here with my 3 Starts since we liked the overall ambiance anyway. Definitely not recommending this place.

After our Palm Sunday mass, we were in search for a nice coffee shop along the way. Then we saw this place and decided to give it a try. We tried their cafe latte and flat white. The coffee was good. The ambiance of their place was also nice. Very relaxing and they have a good wifi connection. Will definitely be back to this coffee shop. 10084

It’s been a while since I last visited Drip Cafe. I learned that they did a complete overhaul of the store, so I went to check it out. I must say that the tropical design of the store is totally pleasing to the eyes. 128525 loving those wooden textures on the table while totally suiting their ceramic cups and saucers. As for the flat white that I had, I totally enjoyed the robust flavors of the coffee. This place is perfect if you want a chill ambiance while relaxing or even working

After a spa date with one of my college best friends last Sunday, we decided to have a light dinner at Drip Café. 128156 Both V and I haven't tried it here before, so we don't really know what to expect.

We got the following:

✅ For V: ROAST BEEF GRILLED CHEESE (Php 200) - 1108811088 1/2
V said the sandwich had a meaty taste and had enough beef filling, but lacked the flavor of actual roast beef. Also, she felt like the sandwich was a bit too small for its price. Towards the end of her meal, she also mentioned that the sandwich was too oily. 128542 It comes with a gravy-like sauce, but it was quite bland.

✅ For Me: BASIL PESTO GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH (Php 160) - 110881108811088
Taste-wise, this was actually pretty good. The aromatic basil complemented the sharpness of the cheese, and it cut through the creaminess of the cheese as well. 128076The balsamic vinegar is a nice dip to pair it with.

What we found hard to believe though, was the sides they used for the sandwiches. These were chips -- but it tasted all too familiar, I was able to pinpoint what it was on my first bite -- Oishi Potato Chips! 128586 I mean, who would use that as sides??? Unbelievable. 128562

✅ RASPBERRY ICED TEA (Php 110) - 11088110881108811088
This tasted more like a raspberry juice that tea, but it was good. It was not too sweet, and the barista was right: it does go well with my basil pesro grilled cheese. 128076

The ambiance is so nice and relaxing, too! 128156 We enjoyed catching up because of the warm ambiance, definitely giving them 511088 for the look of the place. Servers / baristas were really nice and friendly, too. 128522 Food was so-so, though. But, I heard their coffee is really good, so do drop by to try it! 9749

It can be said that clients usually frequent cafés with several factors in mind (probably in no particular order): location, ambience, food choices and of course, coffee. Find out here how Drip Café in Banawe can be in your next favorite caffeine stop.

Conveniently located near the Philippine Orthopedic Center, this establishment is usually filled with doctors and med students. Last week, I was able to visit the Drip Cafe, which has been under new management since November.

So what’s up with version 2.0? I had a fruitful time chatting with its new owners, enthusiastically explaining their new dishes by Chef Tatum. Expect familiar comfort food reinvented with a touch of creativity on look and taste.

The interiors here also had a face lift and has become more inviting. They changed the former dark flooring and brought it back to its vintage wooden fixtures. This gave this place a friendlier vibe, which was also accentuated by the light-colored walls and choice of illumination used.

I had first their warm, chunky, and tangy Tomato Basil Soup (Php 140) accompanied with bite sized grilled sandwiches. It had bold Basil Pesto, my fave, paired with balsamic vinegar; an interesting pair of Truffle Portobello Mushroom, in tandem with delicious marinara; and Roast Beef, which came with usual gravy.

After that interesting partnering of flavors, I was treated to a palate-cleansing Chicken Apple & Walnut Salad (Php 200) before I was presented with their mouth-watering mains.

Creamy Chicken Alfredo (Php 240), was a filling bowl, enough to last you a whole night while you work or study here. It had loads of chicken strips drowned by a really creamy blend of sauce. I suggest requesting for more cheese here to make it even more appetizing.

On rice, we were served savory Chicken Salpicao (Php 240), a garlic filled staple and Pork Schnitzel with Mushroom Gravy (Php 240), a crunchy forkful that was unfortunately a bit dry and airy.

They have the usual coffee selections here and I got to sip two of their varieties, Flat White (Php 110) and their Café Latte (Php 120). Also available on Cafe Drip’s menu are Americano (Php 90), Cappucino (Php 110), and Espresso (Php 85).

You like tea? Don’t you worry. New on the menu is the Matcha Mint Frappe (Php 150). Any green tea lover should not miss this special concoction, you have the rich tea taste boosted by a cooling sensation.

For desserts, they have ample choices as well and I was fortunate enough to sample most of them. I had Dark Chocolate Ganache (Php 150/slice), a densely fudgy bite; lightly soured tarty Calamansi Pie (Php 160); Signature Drip Cake (Php 150), which evokes a sweet-salty and warm fuzzy feel; and must have Japanese Matcha Cheescake (Php 180/slice).

Take a sip of their marshmallowy and soothing Hot Chocolate (Php 130) while you down the cakes for a complete sweet tooth delight here.

No medical degree needed to visit. I am sure I got you curious enough to give them a tour soon. You can find them at 46-A Banawe Corner Maria Clara Street, Banawe, Quezon City.

Food is average. Blt - bacon is not crispy and too fatty. Hungarian pasta is ok. Matcha tea not too good. The ambience is great though. Cozy and nice interior and comfy chairs. Great place for meetups

Came back to try other kind of coffee since I enjoyed my last visit.

I ordered hot latte. The drink had a little too much milk in my opinion but it was still good and creamy. I can still hint a little coffee taste. Still hunting for the best latte in Metro Manila. Haha. 128516

And since I stayed for quite a while, I ordered something to eat too. Vegetable lasagna. This order took a long time to serve so for anyone who wants to order one in the future, order in advance. 128514 This lasagna seems to be expensive for such a thin layered lasagna. For a cost of 220, I would be able to eat bigger and more fresh lasagna elsewhere. It won't make you full for sure but it is enough to make your stomach quiet once in a while. 128516

It was really a sudden visit with my friends. We ordered corned beef bread, ham & cheese bread, fries, triple chocolate and matcha float. We love the food but its kinda pricey. Place is a bit small and most of their foods are not available. 🙁 But we had a good time though. 128522

Another coffee shop in Quezon City worth visiting. It is located near Philippine Orthopedic Hospital. It was where the old kaffe kaffe once stood.

Upon entering the store one can immediately feel the air-conditioning system of the store is in full blast compared to other coffee shops and restaurants which is a major plus for me. You will also notice the big "king-like" chairs situated in the store. 128514

The lighting was sufficient for students who want to study all day long. But remember to bring your earphones to minimize the sounds coming from the surroundings.

There is also a second floor when there is not enough space. The servers/barista were also nice and accommodating and always wanting to help new comers.

Upon ordering, they would immediately give you their wifi password without asking for it. 128077128077128077

I ordered cafe mocha which was served in a big cup. I would taste the chocolate in it and the coffee was comparable or even better than Starbucks. 128516

They would also serve you water upon serving your drink which was great!

Great interior. Great coffee. Great air-conditioning system. Ambient lighting.
Will definitely come back. 128515

Doc April H was right. Their strength is truly in their coffees, in our case, their drip brewed coffee. According to my boyfriend, it had a strong roasted aftertaste minus the acidity. He really loved it even though it wasn't the wisest decision to get on a hot day. We paired it with a chicken curry bun which was equally as good but needs a little tweaking because it tends to fall apart.

Been raving about their Iced Latte and their Chicken Curry Buns for a while... But it was during one of my visits wherein I've tried their rice meals...

It was too hot to walk around that afternoon, so instead of going out for lunch we opted to try Drip's food... We ordered their fries to share, bf had their daing rice bowl and I got the beef salpicao rice bowl...

The fries were okay, though serving was a little small... We both didn't enjoy their rice bowls!128546128546128546 I found the beef a bit tough to chew and lacking in seasoning... Plus there were cubes that were a little undercooked for my liking... The bf also had issues with his daing regarding the taste, but I opted not to try it anymore... We alsotried their lava cake, which comes from a very familiar supplier...

In terms of the food and pastries, I found it expensive and just okay... I suppose I'll continue to visit for the coffee and the curry buns but I'll opt to eat lunch/dinner elsewhere...🙃

Good thing I didn't expect too much. They don't offer blended drinks, either hot, iced or float. They have pasta, rice meals, purk buns, CHICKEN CURRY BUNS 128077🏻 and cakes. Pretty much sure you are familiar with their pastry supplier. My sister tried iced tea hmm strawberry or raspberry 128076 me, hot chocolate on a hot afternoon128566 i didn't like it..sorry128532 but the store vibe is relaxing.

Who would not love drip cafe's latte? Though not the best latte art seen, it's the taste that matters...

Just one issue here.. Nakakainis lang students who like play their cellphones out loud as background music... Is the place theirs?? Ugh! Have to put on my own music.

I know its a free country, but it's inflicting... Pain and discomfort. Parang BO lang.

Drip cafe please play background music so these rascals know the place got music and needs not to play their own

I loved it here. Aside from being very easy to locate, the place was spacious, with great lighting and comfortable seats. Crowd are mostly students and/or people with their laptops so the place doesn't get as noisy even when it gets full. Coffee and food was decent and reasonably priced. I recommend their Iced Latte and Chicken Curry buns.

I'm always on the lookout for new study areas and this one is somewhere I'd definitely come back to.

This also could be a choice for your early sunday morning breakfast. I woke up late this sunday like 715am that's why i landed here since it's near the church.

I was actually planning to have salad but then it was unavailable. I asked also if they're planning to have sandwiches, they said they're still planning.

I ordered
128204longganisa at 200php
Truly asian... (By that Chinese) Cant deny cause it was served in a bow. One sliced meaty longganisa. With it comes a sunny side up, and slices of tomatoes and cucumber. The longganisa tasted peppery-salty. Thick skinned if you know the "plastic" like thing used to mold the longganisa... Verdict? I think they should lower the price by at least ten pesos or so.. I just feel i was not eating what i paid for.
128204128525 latte
Espresso with milk and tulip latte art! Oh my. Ang sarap ng coffee nila. True. Go here and enjoy their coffee. Comparable to EDSA bev. Hehehe.
128204choconut pie
Please include desserts during breakfast.
And i cant help it. It's not a pie. Wiki says a pie is a baked dish. This one just got vanilla-choco peanut mousse. So so lng. I was just wondering what it was. Looks cool in the display kasi.

They do not yet accept credit card. So have cash on hand before visiting.

I am a frequent visitor of this cafe by now... What can I say, I can be a very loyal customer... Especially if the place is as inviting and pleasant as Drip Cafe... I am honestly not affiliated with the place, I just like their coffee and their staff... Plus the place is really relaxing and conducive to learning... Nuks!128513

This visit was no different. Save for one thing... When I was ordering, one of the waitresses/baristas said, "Kayo po si April H sa looloo diba?" Okay, natawa talaga ako dun... Masyado na akong madalas dito... I just said yes. Nahiya ako kasi parang ang dalas ko na tuloy dun... But it made me feel even more at home at this place... And that's what customers love and come back for... The feeling of being comfortable, welcome and that sense of familiarity in an establishment... 128077🏻

On a completely unrelated story, I must say that I truly understand the difficulties of putting up a business... We are small business owners too... All the time, effort and funds that go into it are no joke, whether it is a big or small operation. All the training, location scouting and product development before you can even set up shop. And even then, you need a bit of luck too...

The food industry is cut throat and no nonsense, like any other business. Customers today are very savvy and demanding of new experiences. All a business owner can do is to provide the best ambience, product, and service to entice the customers. But I think we should let the customers form their own opinion about any establishment. People may or may not like your business, but it should motivate you to push harder and become better... Excuses are just that, excuses. I feel bad when I'm in a cafe and the owners are not there and the staff are rude or lazy, because I know they have worked hard for their business. But when it's the owner that does something to piss off a customer, then that's on them. Restaurants are a service industry. Even if you are the boss, you need to mind your manners because you are still trying to entice the people to come and more importantly, to come back. I will not spend time or money at a place that doesn't provide what was promised-- good food and good service.

When I go to a restaurant, I just want to have a good time, like all people. We are not doctors, lawyers or managers while we are there. And when I write my review, I'm just a foodie who wants to share her honest experience and take on a restaurant. Again, WE ARE not doctors, lawyers or managers when we make a review. Opinions of the president of a company or a student have the same weight when it comes to review sites... That's what social media does, it's the great equalizer...

I don't claim to be an "official" reviewer or an expert or whatever. I also don't need special treatment when I go to a restaurant. Di ako pa-VIP. I don't say na-- hi I review sa looloo, pagka-guluhan nyo ako. Duh. But since I'm not paid to go to a restaurant (hello, I'm the one paying to eat out), I can very well say my honest opinion about the place and the food. I don't care if you share or agree with my opinion or not. I don't care if you read my review or not. But the last time I checked, it's still a free country and I am free to voice out my own opinion... As Reich T said, preferences vary and taste does come into play...

As I have said before, my rule is: WAG TALUHIN ANG REVIEW NG IBANG TAO. In the two and a half years that I have loyally and actively used this app, I have only commented ONCE on a review that was so completely unfair... I don't always agree with other reviewers, but even if I say so, it will just be something like, awwww so sorry that you had a bad experience or I hope that was just an off day for them... But sometimes, there is wisdom in saying nothing at all. Unfortunately, not in this case... I just don't want to draw any more attention to a place that doesn't deserve it...

This is a community of hardcore foodies who just like to eat sans drama... Censorship is a thing of the past... Honesty is encouraged, but remember one thing though: respect truly is the ultimate currency.

A PR specialist once told me, never write a comment on social media that your customers may misinterpret or may use against you in the future. How true. Common sense lang naman diba? If you can't handle criticism, then I suppose just don't open apps such as this one... You can't control what other people think, especially if you full on insult them... End of rant!128515 Now back to the usual program!128522

So sorry Drip, this rant isn't about your establishment! I love your coffee, the place, and the service!🙃🙃🙃 will definitely be back at Drip!128077 (not at the other place)
