It's been a long time since i tried to hang out in a coffee place. Maybe because right now I'm in a strict budget coz I'm saving up.

Anyway, after dinner we went here with my friend (well there's another one but we just met, so is that considered a friend or maybe just an acquintace?) to hang out and to catch up some more.

And there i ordered a tea (Macha Green Tea to be exact) since it's already late that night all i want is just something not to wake me up since i already felt sleepy when we got there. As i try to find seats for us at the end of the cafe there is a couch and 2-3 tables separated it so that they can have more seats for other customers but we ended occupying 2 tables coz my friend had a bag pack and some shopping bags. When i went to the couch i saw a teddy bear and stitch sitting there waiting for a hug. Haha coz yeah im a stuffed toy person. I like hugging pillows as well. That's how the photo was captured.

I liked the ambiance here and the Macha Tea. It was indeed a good drink. It was a cold drink and i can say it live it up to it's title to be the best seller. Good job for this place. Hope to come back soon. 128077128522

It used to be called Coffee Prince, after that famous Korean TV show. The coffee shop even had posters of said TV series on display. I’m not sure what happened but the prince seemed to have been dethroned because the said cafe is now going under the name, Duke’s Coffee Place.

The place looks cute, just like the first Korean coffee shop that I tried in Coron, Coffee Kong. DCP though is a bigger, with a loft area that has more tables and chairs. The thing I loved most about its design are these contemporary lamps on the ceiling and the painting on the wall.

The Aloe vera fruit juice (P120) is a nice blue-colored concoction that actually tasted good.

The Iced caramel macchiato (P150) tastes a bit different from that of Starbucks, but it was nonetheless good. It has the right amount of bitterness that goes well with that sweet caramel taste.

Aside from the good ambiance, the place has free WiFi. They also offer, pasta, sandwich, salad, bread, and meals. I kind of regret that I wasn’t able to try the food, hmmm… maybe next time.

Based on the drinks that we had, I sure think this place is worth a try. So go ahead and look for the Duke for good coffee if you happen to find yourself in the area.

It's a quaint little hole-in-the-wall coffee place, with a nice homey feel about it, friendly servers and good reasonably-priced food. 128525

We went here on a weekday but the place was still pretty full.

I got the green tea smoothie and since I am always hungry, I also opted to sample one of their meals, chicken with mushroom I think. The green tea smoothie was nothing special. The chicken was doused in what smelled and tasted like pork and beans sauce haha. Maybe something else on the menu would have been a better choice?

The wi-fi was super slow though. I could barely load a single webpage. But the place is really cute and nice and clean. The staff was nice and accommodating.

Ever since my last review, I've been a regular of this cafe. And of course, I'm still giving it a perfect score. 128076

On the picture is a really really cheesy tuna sandwhich and a caramel macchiato. Both are superb!

Oh, and I should give this a mention! Their restroom is really nice and clean! 128701 Which is a huge plus if you ask me!

What a chill cafe!! I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be a regular here.

I tried their pesto (Php165) and Mint Mocha (Php160). Both are really good. And their servings are huge!! I couldn't even finish the pesto! Really worth the buck! 127860

Besides the food, the place is also "chill." And oh, friendly staff!!! Which is a big plus! 10024

I always spend my Monday afternoon here at Coffee place. But this would probably be the last time because my schedule is so hectic next term. Anyways..

Peach Iced Tea 110php
Carbonara 150php

The carbonara is very creamy. You would instantly feel full half way through eating. It also comes with a spoon incase you want to sip that creamy white sauce off the plate.

The Peach Iced Tea taste like sola for me. Maybe it is, I don't know. It's a little bit more sweeter and they put in a lemon so I love the tangy ness of it all.

As for the citrus lemon tea and salted caramel cake. The salted caramel looks very sweet but it's actually a good balance between the chocolate and caramel. My friend didn't like the tea too much because of the zest.

The service is always great. Vibe is perfect. And there's wifi. You need to ask for the password at the counter though.
Plus if you love k-pop and all things Korean, you'll like it here.

P.s. They sell red ginger products by the counter. Like candy and such. I heard its good for you so maybe I'll try buying some someday.

I used to be here all the time for its fast wi-fi; this place was "Coffee Prince", then changed to "the Dukes Place".

Nothing has changed in the place, even the wall paintings are the same; but the menu has changed a lot.

If you're looking for a place to study or just hang out while passing time, this is the place to be. The place seldom gets noisy or crowded unlike Starbucks. Their good tasting coffee is also cheaper compared to the others and you'll be amused with their coffee art. They once served me a coffee latte with a cute cat in it. They play soft Korean music all the time, but I don't mind. They also have several outlets so you can plug your device and surf the net using their free wifi. But what I really like about this place is that they have a clean comfort room with a bidet!

It is now named Duke's Coffee Place but still the same features and menu.
I need to meet up with a friend and we just decided to meet here since we both had our dinner already. I just ordered their pat bingsoo which is like a korean version of our halo halo. The one I had contains slices of banana, red bean, corn flakes, mango, ice and strawberry ice cream. It was good and it somehow cleansed my palate for eating a lot of prawns and other dishes we had from my Asian cuisine class. The taste is not that sweet and it is just right. The light on the place where we sat was a little dim so it's a little bit hard to get a clear picture there but the interior design looks good and the ambiance is just right for a peaceful and quiet studying time. Most of the customers there are students doing their homeworks and other stuff.

Another cute coffee shop around taft! Plus very fast wifi!!! :) It's great place to study, and chill with your friends! A lot of couches are available, so you can get comfy in your sit. Didn't order coffee though! I was much interested with their four season's fruit shake in the menu board. Haha! My drink was good. Don't get me wrong but i was happy with it, tasted like four seasons usually do and the ice was shaved nicely.

Here's a picture of my friends when we hanged out at the coffee shop after the exhibit.

When u search their account in FB, you'll see they changed their name to DUKE'S COFFEE PLACE. But i like the name Coffee Prince more, reminds me of this korean novela series i watched back in college! Hihi (this gives justification to a rather high rating.)

I ordred Special Coffee Parfait (which gave me extra energy for the almost 3 hour long group meeting 128562). But i wished my treat had more corn flakes on top (and in between??), like the one u see in their fb account and bec it didnt feel like a parfait with the missing layers of something bit more. Pfft. i still think the drink is clever; instead of putting milk with the coffee, they used a scoop of vanilla ice cream and i enjoyed the corn flakes. Price wise: it's relatively fine. The large cup cost me Php 160.

I adore their place especially they got these cute wall(paper) designs. And it was quite spacious actually, they even have a loft area/2nd floor. They maximized their area: placed tables against the window. Duke's Coffee Place is located at the ground floor of a condo that is near schools, so im guessing they really thought of their market---the students who like studying out. It's a nice alternative to the usual coffeehouse chains around.

So I was looking for a place to kill time around taft and I saw this coffee shop. Which I believe is now called: Duke's Coffee Shop. Though there are still monograms and prints of the former name. But the ambiance was really good and there are only a few people in the shop. The lighting was good and there is free wifi. (I am still here in the coffee shop as I write128540)

I believe I would not regret entering this coffee shop though it is a bit pricey for my budget. Coffee and other drinks range from 90 from the smallest cheapest drink and 160 to the most expensive largest drink. And their drinks were indeed large. I ordered carbonara and regular bano coffee.

The carbonara sauce feels a little thin and lacks taste though the basil tried to change it. It failed its part. Basil is my favorite herb and they put these little babies in my plate sparingly. 128542

However, I loved the bano frappe. It was 145 pesos and I was shocked as they gave me a tall glass of chocolate colored drink with two slices of banana on the side. I think it is about 20 ounces. (sorry, i really am shy taking pictures of food128542) i thought they gave me the wrong order but I still didn't say anything. Hehe. But when I saw the cabinet where they show their sample glasses, I was shocked. The large glass can fit 3 small glasses inside. Haha. The coffee tastes a lot more like banana, it just have hints of coffee. All in all, it was enjoyable and sweet. 128538
