Went to Rob Magnolia and had merienda here. I liked that they seemed to be going with a Valentine themed with their churros being shaped as hearts. Really love their churros, especially the chocolate dip. Also had their sans rival, which was just okay for me.

Ambiance was just okay, service was nice.

I decided to go for something different for my movie snack this time. Dulcinea was just around the corner and I thought I'd give their CHURROS CON CHOCOLATE [P118] a try.

Verdict: Churros were not as crispy and firm as I thought it would be and the sauce was too watery for my liking. But I did like the flavor of the chocolate dip as it was not too sweet. It had a slight dark chocolate flavor.

Comparison: Even if La Lola's churros (size M with it's corresponding chocolate dip) can be more expensive, it's definitely worth the additional P50.

The pic I took unfortunately had poor lighting (AKA total darkness) so I didn't bother to upload 128513
Just some junior churros con chocolate 128523

They were warm and crunchy and soft and yummy - surely still my favorite over La Lola. These were the very first churros I had when I was a kid and it always brings back memories 128123

The only good thing we had here was the churros - and even the churros wasnt all that. The chocolate was a little bit watered down and the churros was undercooked.

Wine was rancid and they told me it was just opened earlier in the day.

WORST yema ever. Couldve easily given them a 4 but the yema kinda ruined the experience. It was sooo sweet and grainy. They said it was made with "pure egg yolk", but i tasted nothing like sugar. a small piece is 35php-no thanks.

When it comes to churros, Dulcinea's is one of my favorites! Sinfully fried pastry dipped in bitter chocolate is nothing but awesome! 9749128077🏻128513 Obviously, I bet I'm the most excited to review their new branch here at Magnolia.
