One thing I love about attending meetings and workshops is having free food. We're quite lucky this time for having a whole day workshop at Dusit.

Dusit has changed a lot in the past years. I still recall their black-themed lobby which was elegant but not really welcoming. The new lobby (the one that they have right now), echoes royalty. You would instantly feel Thai hospitality with warm greetings of sà-wàt-dee from almost all hotel staff at the lobby. The golden pillars at the lobby remind me of grand palaces and temples which is unique to Thailand.

The food served to us was generally good. It was a buffet of American and Asian (Chinese and Japanese) dishes. Generally, the food was great! What's nice about dining in Dusit is that they place extra utensils in the middle of the table. This means you don't have to call the servers every time you need an extra spoon, fork or knife. Servers are very attentive and very courteous. And what could be better than having free flowing coffee and tea for the entire duration of the workshop?!128540

There were quite a lot of choices for the dessert. Of course they had fresh fruits, pastries and shortcakes. There were so many attendees in the workshop, and the line was so long that I wasn't able to remember to take photos of each dessert, except for the few ones posted here. Nevertheless, I can say that all of them were really, really good.

Of the hotels around Ayala Center, Dusit Thani is still one of the most notable, and distinct for that matter as the hotels around are mostly catering to corporate guests. Having a themed hotel is actually a breath of fresh air for guests as they experience the warmth and hospitality of Thai culture in this busy part of town.

It was our company's year-end party and it was held in one of the ballrooms of Dusit Thani Manila.

Prior to the event, we were asked to RSVP and choose which course we prefer: chicken or beef. I got the chicken because I liked the appetizer that came with it. 128513

128204 Baked Salmon Flakes on Traditional Potato Salad
The salmon was alright and the potato salad was also good. The serving size was small but it's more or less expected since it's an appetizer and it's hotel food. 128514

128204 Green Salad with House Dressing
This salad was so plain. Greens and shredded carrot bits with a really sour vinaigrette! 128534 Nothing special.

128204 Roasted Corn Soup Scented with Cinnamon
The corn was really roasted alright. 128514 I can taste that roasted corn flavor in every sip.

128204 Roasted Chicken Breast with Mushroom Stuffing
This had mashed potatoes and green beans wrapped in bacon and cherry tomato confit. I liked the main, it was pretty good with the sauce.

128204 Sticky Toffee Banana Cake with Almond Ice Cream and Rhum Caramel Sauce
The dessert was probably the best among all the things served. It might be a bias for banana cake but the almond ice cream was also good, though I don't know if it did taste like almonds or more like vanilla with some almond bits. 128514 Overall, it was a really good sticky toffee banana cake. 128077🏼

Their service was a bit all over the place. 128517 In each table, there are some who ordered beef and some the chicken. We all had food stubs and they asked to keep it on the table so they can see it. Eventually, they would tear off part of the food stubs when they were about to serve the appetizer. Actually serving the correct item was a challenge though. Some people in our table who ordered beef got the chicken appetizer. 128528 But eventually, we got the mains right. What we did was we just followed up with the servers what was still missing and they would bring it out.

Overall, it was a good visit. Though it would be better to improve the logistics haha!

The hotel wherein you will really use your five senses. See the ladies and gentlemen wearing traditional Thai Garments. Hear the music of Kim, a traditional Thai instrument which is played by a Thai Kim player every once in a while. Touch the intricate designs of the hotel. Smell the aromatic smell of Thailand. Taste the warth of the Thai Hospitality. Only at Dusit.

This review is for the Dusit Sky Lounge

My colleague was checked in at Dusit Thani and because of the room she got, she had an extra breakfast to give away. So this is the first of two days we had breakfast together #clingy #takaw

The Sky Lounge is a great option for the business traveler, who wants a place to eat in peace and ease into the day. The choices are limited but still good, what with a good selection of rolls and cheese and cold cuts, and salmon! There are pots of fruit spreads on the table, which I was soooo tempted to bring home but fortunately my prim and proper self overruled.

There are a la carte items like the eggs benedict that cannot be found downstairs. I was scared that the serving would be too big for me to finish, but it was a cute little muffin and I loved it - it left more room for me to explore the buffet ;)

Attended and covered the Manila Times 2nd Business Forum. 10024

We had a fantastic three-course meal. First, a salad (I think it was caesar) with bacon bits.

The entree' was a pan-seared salmon with soy-calamansi butter sauce. Probably my favorite. 128525

Lastly, our dessert is a peach tart with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce (pictured above) which was a dream. 10024 Although the tart crust felt more cookie than crust, and we had difficulty cutting through it. 128517

We also had a few sweet pastries on the side -- danish and brownies -- to accompany our coffee or tea during the whole duration of the discussion. 10024

Throwback when i had my hotel immersion tour during my college days, went here at Dusit Thani. The hotel is very classy and elegant looking. The staffs are nice, the food is good, facilities is all clean, the ambiance was perfect for a luxurious staycation. The room rates per night is raging to Php 7000.00- 45000.00.

Rooms are big. Glorietta and SM Makati are walking distance from the hotel. Front desk is kind enough to reserve a slot for us for early check in. 128525 128077🏻

Went to Dusit Thani for a channel's planing, unfortunately I only have a picture of our breakfast. This is so such a yummy treat and a good way to start a long day of planning and brainstorming. The cinnamon bread and porridge didn't go well together but separately, good food.

The venue is also spacious, good for company planning or meeting. Lunch was also great! The Salmon is just sooo delish. Too delish that I forgot to take pictures and just went on to eating, and getting some more.
