How come I only discovered this place recently (and almost, by accident?) This place is a gem. 128142

πŸ¦€ After giving a talk to young kids at Keys School, me and my friend are famished. We passed by this restaurant and she said, β€œOh, I heard this place, it’s supposed to be good”. So obviously, we tried it. Hehe. Eat fresh is famous for their Hong Kong Street Food Style of service, so we ordered crab fingers, lobster balls, bacon wrapped shrimp, and breaded scallops. They were all good and so affordable! For the claypot, we had the fish taoisi and the beef brisket. Both are equally good. The serving is big enough is you consider that we also ate food on stick. I had lemon coke for drinks – I thought it’s your regular coke with sliced lemon, but apparently there is a lemon-flavored coke! Yummy.

Parking can be a bit of a hassle, because there is none. You have to find a spot along the road, at your risk. Overall, a good dining experience. I hope to return here with my family soon.

I love San Juan. It's a busy little city yet boasts of good eats. This resto is one of my faves.

I don't want to write a long review because just thinking about my gastro experience makes me hungry again.

This place has a lot to offer. Their noodle soup, street food on stick, laksa, claypot dishes and dimsum. All reasonably priced. Their place is usually cramped and I'm guessing they have a lot of loyal patrons. Their name is a giveaway --- Hongkong street food it is in San Juan.

Oh by the way, their bacon shrimp on stick is to die for.

Curry beef tendon rice Ina clay pot, pigs ears, yakitori, salt and pepper squid. We are happy campers.

They have an unusual standee out in front though, a life-sized cutout of Rodrigo Duterte. Not sure what that's all about 128512

I ordered a Beef Curry rice and black & white gulaman. It's served on a hot pot, like it's fresh off the grill. It's really hot that you have to wait a few minutes to let it cool down before eating it. The curry sauce is ok, and the beef is good as well. Serving is enough for one(not for those with hungry appetite though). The black & white gulaman is BIG(1-liter) and it's not so sweet; sugar level is enough for you to want it more and more. Since it's good, I didn't realize that I already emptied half of the cup on my first sip.

I would recommend those who would want to have a light meal to come and try Eat Fresh.

Pancake Balls are the only Hong Kong street food that I enjoyed or remember trying on past trips but that did not stop me from dining here the first time. Since my first try years ago, I have been to this branch several times with different people and once to the Banawe branch with hubby.

My favorites are the fried things on sticks (crab fingers, lobster balls and snow shrimp) which I dip alternately with the curry sauce and the other sauces. Their Laksa is delicious, good for sharing and extremely spicy. The Salt and Pepper Squid is good too although a bit spicy. Another treat is the 1 Liter Black Gulaman which is so refreshing. My titas and cousins enjoy the Beef Brisket and Beef Tendon. Skip the Spareribs and Takoyaki.

Parking situation is on the street and park at your own risk so we usually take an Uber or Grab. Airconditioning is comfortably cool Interiors are simple. Cash basis only.

Reunited with my former agents from my first company and I chose Eat Fresh for our dinner! We were at the place around 10pm and there was still a queue. Good thing people were already leaving so we got seated after 10 minutes.

I ordered the same dishes from my previous visit - special rice, yakitori, buttered chicken, laksa, 1 liter of avocado shake and black gulaman.

I'm so happy my kids loved their food! Everything was exactly how I tasted when I first tried them way back 2013. MSG FTW!128514 I wanted to try their egglete but we were already bundat from everything that we ate.128524

We paid around 3,000 pesos which was not bad considering there were 6 of us. I would prolly eat here every week if it's near my home.

I can't wait for my next Eat Fresh sesh!128525

I miss this place! Best Hongkong stuff ever. I have never been there but they say it's the closest to the real deal. Sarap grabe! Food coma inaabot ko rito parati. The bacon-wrapped sausage is a best seller so get there early. You can order and take out or dine in. The place is packed during peak hours with usually working people. There's some waiting time for the food. But yeah, it's great! And the servings are just right. Some can order one and could half it up kung di masiba. 128513 128587

We went to the World Street Food Congress for lunch and the food was amazing! But prices were kind of steep so we couldn't order as much as we wanted to. And the line at the Hong Kong stall was really long so we didn't even bother. 128546

So to make up for that, we went to Eat Fresh Famous Hong Kong Street for dinner! Para-paraan lang. 128514 Everything's pretty much a steal here so we went all out. I ordered the Hong Kong-Style Fried Noodles, the fishballs, and the Yakisausage (you get two sticks per order). 127842127858127841

The fishballs were, well, fishballs. Soft, squishy, and delicious with sweet chili sauce. As for the noodles, they seemed ordinary at first bite but when I doused it in peanut sauce (as per Dominic D's reco), it brought the dish to the next level. Tasted almost like tantanmen! Ahhh so good. I think we finished half the bottle of the peanut sauce. But the real winner of the night were the yakisausages. Sausages wrapped in bacon, grilled, and then smothered in this amazing sweet yakitori sauce!!!

We didn't get to try their laksa though, which I think is their specialty. So definitely coming back for that! 128076

First of all, please order their Laksa. You will not regret, one of their best food on the menu. Chinese food here is cooked on point, the way its supposed to be.
They have the authentic streetfood turo-turo i only find in HK. Only downside of this place is that there are no parking space. So parkat your own risk in the streets. :)

My son and I have not been feeling well so our food choices were limited, we were looking for hot soup.

After Vinnie gave up on finding alternatives to the obvious, we ended up here...again!

We've had mani before so no surprises; tried congee for the first time...sarap!

They ran out of the yakitori (nooooooooooooooo) so this visit wasn't as satisfying as usual. They mistakenly charged us for it though so had to change the bill. They changed their laksa recipe a bit from the last time. It's spicier.

It was our 2nd time to eat at Eat Fresh, but it was our first time to try their Beef Brisket Claypot Rice. OMG IT WAS AMAZING! The beef was tender and flavorful, and the serving was huge. It had a slightly smoky flavor to it that made the dish more interesting. It was really affordable, too.

The Laksa was still good, as usual, but they didn't serve it in a steamboat anymore. It just takes away the presentation points from the dish. You can still ask for one free refill of soup hehehe.

We also ordered their siomai, which was pretty good too. They only served 3 pcs, but it was bigger than the usual. Their balls were still just so-so.

Will bring my parents here for sure! My dad who's so picky with regards to taste (Chinese food, that is) and price will surely love Eat Fresh.

"HELLLOOOO from the other side!!' - Isaw

Ohmygosh this Isaw is like the best I've ever tasted before. I'm a little over reacting though because I haven't tasted the others. But so far, I can eat entirely 10sticks non stop in one seating! Hahahah

Well, it's kind of the low-key Tim ho wan but they offer good hongkong street food! I would visit this again, surely!!!

Other tried from the menu; beef brisket claypot and the Yakitori which has the tasteful sauce!

Also, try their almond gulaman drink which comes in 1lt size for like 66 pesos I think. 128077🏼

Must try! 128076🏼
