I wasn't feeling hungry nor craving for something but somehow, seeing kare-kare gave me an appetite. It's a big serving (P285 with rice). Good for 2 already. Sauce is super thick and malinamnam. Crunchy veggies and tender meat. Even the bagoong is the right timpla for me. Really salty with just a hint of sweetness. I don't like it when it's too sweet eh. Beware if you prefer malaman coz most of the parts are from buntot and pata. No tripe though. I dunno if it's just my order since it's the last bowl they served tonight.

Ginataang langka to go for Meatless Monday. Was ok. But as you can see in the photo it looks like they used faux gata, like they used thickeners like cornstarch. Ive definitely had better, including those served in a provincial carinderia.

That's a whole serving already in the photo.

Haven't tried anything else here except the halo halo.

I just thought their food price is a bit high. But their Sago't Gulaman drink for 70 pesos is good. 128077ūüŹľ

Tried Eat Pinoy's tamales. For those who are not familiar, it's a sticky rice which is savory because it has chicken flakes, salted egg on top and few liver. 128522 Been craving for it but wasn't that satisfied. It was just reheated. First attempt, still cold it the inside. 128078

The brown rice arroz caldo was really good. I remember eating some bits of corn aside from the chicken. My 2 year old niece kept on asking for more in between the crushed ice (and syrup) from my sago't gulaman which was so refreshing.

*sorry no photos, we were seated in a not so well lit area
**if you're a big group and you order items that need crushed ice, prepare to wait a while

Want filipino food?

Eat Pinoy! Hahaha! Not literally. 128514

I had kaldereta for dinner. My dad ordered them before I came from work. It was good. Very tasty. And it's plenty. Although it's kinda pricey for me. Ala carte of kaldereta was 200php then 35php rice.

Tried their beef kaldereta and it was really good. The meat was tender enough and was generously portioned. Yup, will definitely try them again.

I like this express food stall by Cabalen. Its a quick-pinoy meal. Ordered tortang bangus for P160 served with soup already. I liked the food, the overall look of the store is modern pinoy with color combination of lime/green, white and gray. A good twist/concept from the usual old cabalen restaurants. I just hope they have a stand alone resto other than this in SM Aura foodcourt.

It's like eating outside with the taste of home. I got the Adobong Pusit and it really suits my test! Paired with a free Kalabas Soup, my whole brunch experience with my family is all worth the price :-)
