SAGAD ANG GANDA, SAGAD SA SAYA
A Sagada Trip Special

ECHO VALLEY
It was named Echo Valley because your voice echoes once you shout in this place. Unfortunately we didn't get to experience our soundwaves come back because we didn't shout at all. Several tourists were having their meditation when we arrived!

The view was nice and it was really peaceful and calm that time. We were also respectful enough not to disturb the yogis.

Nature tripping at its best in this Echo Valley Adventure Trail. Next stop - Hanging Coffins!

Echo valley. It is what is is. An echo valley. A quick walk through a cemetery will bring you to this place. You’ll be greeted by a wall of pine trees and mountain slopes upon arrival. Surrounded by very beautiful scenery, one may simply choose a spot to rest and to admire the view. Scenery similar to that of Echo Valley's has a very calming effect on people most of the time, given the amount of green they offer for your eyes’ consumption. Although, it won’t be an uncommon sight (or sound) to see people around (or even beside) you screaming at the top of their lungs to produce the echoes which the valley is known for. It’s a nice place to take pictures as well. One just needs to roam around a bit to see certain rock formations which seem built to be pedestals for posing. Be careful though as they can be slippery. Safety first my dears!

Do take note that the hanging coffins site is just a quick trek away and the path people usually take to the coffins is just below the “screaming” area. Given this fact, be wary of your echoes. Make sure they are legitimate echoes coming from the mountains and not from the witty people below. I just want to make sure you get the authentic experience. I should know… because I was one of the guys echoing the people above. *peace* haha

Anyway, thanks for the read and I hope you enjoy your Sagada trip if ever you come around to travelling to this area. Take care everyone!
Stay mahusay! #M4

From the Church, we went to the Echo Valley. We are so lucky because we have a tourist guide who told us stories about the past & historical places here at Sagada. First, we went to a Cemetery and then we went to the Echo Trail. Echo trail is awesome. Every step is worth it, the place is very beautiful. And then we went to the Echo Valley, where they told us this is the only place where we can shout and it has the loudest echo we can here. I don't know if it is true because no one shout hahaha. You can take a lot - seriously a lot of grest pictures.

The third stop of the Echo Valley eco-tour.

Well, as the name connotes, it's called Echo Valley because, yes, there's an echo when you shout. 128514 That's just about it. Did I shout? No, I didn't hahaha I was too busy looking and savoring the smell of pine trees. 128513127794

For P1000 only, a group of 10 pax or less can enjoy an ultimate adventure trail experience starting from the Echo Valley to Sagada's Hanging Coffins, a trek going to the Golden Cave, the river crossing to the Underground River and finally leading to the Bokong Falls, a man-made natural swimming pool.

For this 3 hour activity, we had the same tour guide from our Echo Valley Hanging Coffins experience, Kuya Morgan. He led the way to the starting point of the activity.

Upon starting, you need to pass through a registration/checking area. The group will be counted and will be asked to show the environmental fee (P35) receipt. This fee shall be applied and shown to all the other activity areas so make sure to take good care of the receipt.

Once passed through, the trek to the Echo Valley starts. We passed through a usual cemetery. What caught our attention in this area was one grave which stood out because of its elegant looking marble case with a size 3x bigger than the usual. We were told that this belonged to a SAF 44 military hero, that's why.

Along the way were rocky and slippery areas. It's really best to wear proper hiking sandals to make it less harder for you. Good thing our guide was always ready to assist us at rough paths.

In a span of 15-20 minutes, we were able to reach the center of the Echo Valley. Its view boasts a mountainous portion of the province, with the silver to gray to black amazing rock formations to the vast space of greenness from the abundantly growing trees and the clear, blue skies, a picture perfect sight to look at. At the central stand point is the best area to savor the view, just breath and let relaxation and peace come to you. More than that, this is where you should shout your hearts out and let the echoes be heard by everyone. Yes, Echo Valley's all about the echoes that you'll be hearing from all the tourists and visitors shouting in the area. The foodie in me was so proud there when I heard the echoes of my pizza and cupcake shouts come back to me!

Releasing your feelings out at the Echo Valley has such a therapeutic effect as there's this sense of fulfillment of just being out and proud with whatever it is that you have in mind. Sharing the experience with friends make it funnier and more exciting too most especially when you make fun of your exes, just like what some other group did when we were there.

More than the view and the echo, from the main central point was a good viewing point of Sagada's Hanging Coffins.

For the view lovers, the Echo Valley tour may be enough but for the more adventurous ones, try the adventure trail tour that I talked about at the start to make the most out of the experience.

I thought it was named Echo Valley for no reason. When we got there, we heard people shouting.

"I LOVE YOU!!"

"WALA KANG KWENTANG BOSS!"

Of course, hindi magpapahuli ang well celebrated lines of That Thing Called Tadhana"

TAMA NA!!

The site was beautiful and windy. There were also some rock formations where adventurers can do rock climbing or rappelling. Also, you can get up close with the hanging coffins onf sagada with just a 10-15 minute trek from the site.

This valley was made for AJ! Priceless look of amazement when he hears his own echoes! Postcard perfect vista of greens mixed with hard bedrock canvas! Couldn't stop the kid in me and gave out a couple of "yodel-lay-hee-hoo"! 128540128518

I remember this is our first area to visit. And then tadaaa.. Echo Valley? Oh so this is the reason why it is called Echo Valley.128513 There is this particular spot maybe 200 challenging steps above the hanging coffins where you can shout anything you want free and unlimited and it will echoed back to you. From where you stand you can feel the breeze of fresh air and it feels like a "hele" of your mama 10084

One of the easy to go to attraction of Sagada.

If you're a first timer to the area, a tour guide may not be needed (except if you plan to go down to the hanging coffins), just follow the tracks near the towns church and with a lot of people going to the area, being lost is the thing that could happen. Just be sure you don't carry a faint heart when it come's to cliffs.

People may say that the experience of having your voice echo back to you might be lame but for me, that is the least that the area could offer you. The fact that you're going to have to trek along a cliff breathing fresh air and wonderful mountain ranges awaiting you is a reward along with the view of the hanging coffins from above and getting to see the town of sagada from their.

Again, it's one of those places wherein the company matters more than the place... We had a blast! It's more fun in the Philippines!128077
