Egg It is one of the stalls in StrEat that i got to try before heading to the valley of the dolls.

After x number of stops,  I cant consume anything solid.  I decided to cool down with Cucumber Lemonade.  Priced at php 65, Egg It uses ziplock backs for their refreshments.  The lemonade is refreshing and has a subtle hint of sweetness, perfect to wash off all the flavors lingering in my tastebuds.

I was excited when I was placing my order, it really looks appetizing since it has shown on tv for many times, and it's not just an ordinary waffles. We ordered the Black Pepper Spam with Cheese and Blueberry and Strawberry Syrup. As we tried it, I was looking for something special or a twist on their ingredients yet it was just an ordinary dessert with syrup on it. The taste was tasteless, as if I was eating a dough with syrup. In fact, the taste and quality didn't give justice for their pricey waffles.

A drizzly day to go out, we had to pick up my daughter's cake on that June afternoon. So out we went to run a quick errand.

On the way back, a bit of a grumble came about which led to me searching for some grub. 128566 Turning right and another, we stumbled on what seemed like a good place for a quick fix. 128565

Egg-it's simple menu fitted my need as I wanted to find food, simple and easy to order. Listing only a few dishes, I was able to make up my mind on what I wanted to eat 128522

Food right to the price, it reminded me of my student days where these meals were good for a person on-the-go and with only baon coming from mom and dad 128526 Their specialty, waffles, but being the rice-lover that I am, I had sausages served (right here, please). Quick, simple and just right for the price 128077

The guy attending to my meal was courteous and keen on needs of customers (kuya, penge ko tubig). Alfresco, the place was kept neat and clean with no flies around. Drinks served in a mason jar and simple merienda out in a [somewhat] quiet place 128512

And if you are still bitin, the local manong fish ball is just by the corner 128540 #AlamNa This unexpected hole-in-the-wall store is nostalgic.

A quick trip to Kapitolyo to pick-up my bunso's 10th month cake from Nutty Pear led Raymond P & I to the small streets of Kapitolyo looking for a quick grub. Then I remembered Egg-It which I have been wanting to try.

The place was small, a true picture of a hole in the wall. A couple of tables and chairs, al fresco dining, simple interiors and a straight forward menu. They brought HK waffles to Manila and played with topping combinations.

For as low as 90Php, you'll get an 8 inch hexagonal shaped waffle that looks like a honeycomb. I tried one of their best sellers - Mango Caramel then added 55Php for a scoop of Matcha Ice cream. Presentation needs improvement but overall taste was okay. The waffle was warm with crisp edges. I liked that it wasn't sweet but wished that it had more of the caramel flavor to it. Loved the sweetness from the fresh ripe mangoes and the bitterness given off by the Matcha ice cream which
went well with the fruit.

They also serve an all day breakfast platter and they also have rice meals. They will let you customize your rice meal. Hubby tried this and got Hungarian Sausage (65Php) + Garlic Rice (30Php) + drink (30Php). Small serving but who's complaining? With the price range, you can definitely go for another order! 128514

Overall, we enjoyed our quick "snack" that day. Our server was really helpful, explaining their offerings and giving suggestions. Definitely coming back when we get the chance.

I liked their Hong Kong style waffles 128513 and enjoyed eating our dessert in there. We ordered a 2 in 1 waffle which has the flavors Mango Caramel and Cookies&Cream. The cucumber lemonade is so good! It's a must try :)

i ordered the waffle and the bulkilog at the same time... so, they served at the same time :( that timing ruin the waffle's taste

on the other hand, the bulkilog (bulgogi + kimchi + itlog) is tasty ;) just the right amount of spicy thing i like (technically im not a kimchi girl) hahaha

Yum yum!

Got the cookies n cream waffle.
I think they used coffee here too.

Nevertheless, thumbs up for the taste! Too bad this place is quite hidden. Plus there isn't that much parking slots available too.

A leisure trip to Hong Kong inspired the young entrepreneur Jay Iasis to bring "eggettes" to Manila.
Allured by the smell meters away while walking along the busy streets of Hong Kong made Jay turned his head to that stall where eggettes are sold. From the smell of eggettes, Jay took courage to open a hole in the wall store at one of the streets in Kapitolyo. The catchy and simple name he gave to briefly describe what his store sells is "Egg-it."

Bananutella - Often eaten plain in Hong Kong, Jay of Egg-it pushes for his experimental side as he adds variation like this Bananutella. We know how Filipinos include Nutella to their monthly shopping carts. When you notice your jar of Nutella running out, I bet it's an emergency in your home. Mixed with cream, banana slices and light Nutella syrup flowing on top of the egg waffle. The combination clings more on the creamy side, enough slices of banana and only a little strength of Nutella flavor.I guess if you want the Nutella flavor to be stronger, better request from Egg-it. Who knows? They might grant your request.

I also tried their Spam&Cheese, Cookies&Cream and Mango Caramel.
Drop by Egg-it Hong Kong Style Waffles for a bubbly yummy snack.
