I was in Rizal recently to visit my friend’s chicken and pig farm. It was still very early in the morning, so my friend offered to bring us somewhere for breakfast. His family actually supply the restaurant with eggs daily, so he actually wanted us to try how good their eggs really are.
Our breakfast was actually his recommendation that day. He said that we should definitely order ONE PAN BREAKFAST (P470) which consists of 2 Sausages (Hungarian & Shublig), 2 thick cut honey cured bacon, baked beans, tomatoes, roasted potatoes, shitake mushrooms, and 2 eggs (sunny side up or scrambled). The price was actually quite affordable already for 2 pax. My friend and I ordered a cup of GARLIC RICE (P40) each and decided to just share one order of one pan breakfast. Little did we know that it was a really huge plate and we both would have a hard time finishing it. I was with 3 friends by the way, so 3 of us were really new to this place.

As for the food, I liked how perfectly cooked our scrambled eggs were. You can really taste the richness of the flavor and it was really fluffy and good. The sausages were tasty with a slight hint of spice. The bacon was really good too, but this wasn’t the crispy kind of bacon you usually eat. This bacon was thicker and wasn’t as salty as most bacon are. The mushrooms were really good as well and soft. Potatoes were okay, but I didn’t eat much of it since I have a cup of rice i need to finish. So i guess it would have been better if I didn’t order the rice anymore, because I was seriously so full by the end of our meal. Baked beans was also heavy but good as well. Just like eating chili con carne, but mostly consisting of beans only.

As for our drink, I was actually craving for a delicious smoothie. So my friend and i ordered FUNKY MONKEY (P155) to share. It consisted of milk, bananas, chocolate and peanut butter. It was really delicious. I could finish this smoothie right away if I didn’t remember that i was sharing it with someone that day.

Overall, I would really go back to this place for a hearty breakfast, because it was worth it. Ambiance of this place was really nice and calming also. They have a garden just right outside the door, a small fish pond and a bridge for crossing over, and interior design was mostly green.

Have you ever had one of those mornings where you had this intense need to have a BIG breakfast? Well, look no further than going to Eggs for Breakfast if you’re somewhere in Marikina or Antipolo area.

The place is tucked away nicely in Brgy. Mambugan, along Sumulong Highway; so it has that slightly “hidden place” vibe. The resto itself appears to have been added to the owner’s residence which has a pleasant-looking garden decorated with used umbrellas. There’s also a pond with some fishes which gives the place a relaxed atmosphere.

When we got there past nine in the morning, there were already a number of cars parked within the property. Unsurprisingly, the resto was full and there was a short queue outside. It would seem the place is getting popular which is usually a good sign about the food they serve.

After getting our name on the waiting list, we waited for about 30 minutes before they finally called us in. That really made us even hungrier. Gimme that big breakfast!

The menu has items available for breakfast to brunch. You can select from Eggs Benedict, Hash Browns, Pancakes and classic Pinoy breakfast food like Beef Tapa and Vigan Longganisa. For beverages, you can choose from coffee, tea, fruit juices and smoothies.

We noticed the food was a bit pricey but the serving based on the description looked like it would be good for sharing so we decided to pick the ones that could feed four people. So we got the following –

One Pan Breakfast (470 php). Their take on the classic English Breakfast: a platter of 2 sausages (Schublig and Hungarian), 2 slices of thick-cut bacon, baked beans, tomatoes, roasted potatoes, shitake mushrooms and 2 eggs (done however you’d like). This meal is seriously heavy, I don’t think any one person with a normal appetite can handle it so better share some. The sausages were meaty and delicious, the bacon was tasty and the veggies were seasoned well. I’m not a fan of beans but it was good.

Buttermilk Pancakes with Egg & Bacon (280 php). Nothing complicated with this combo. It’s two fluffy, properly-made pancakes and the same bacon and eggs. Simple and delicious.

Berries & Cherries Smoothie (170 php). I’m a fan of shakes/smoothies that lean on the sour end so this was good and went well with the heavy breakfast. Berry nice!

Funky Monkey (155 php). Cute name. There’s milk, bananas, chocolate and peanut butter in it. A balanced combination of that sweet, chocolatey-taste and some nuttiness. A monkey would be proud of this drink.

So that’s that! Breakfast cravings satisfied. Burp.

Dined here for special occasion just in time for brunch, breakfast food cravings satisfied! 128077🏼

Ambiance was nice and calm, greens all over, like it would be a nice place for an intimate reception or party. Place wasn't packed and it's a chill place for a catch up with friends.

Staff were very accommodating and took the time to introduce their menus best sellers.

We got a caesar salad for appetizer just so we had veggies, it was classic with fresh greens and grilled chicken. 127811

Then came our main, the 'one pan breakfast' to share. It's a classic full english breakfast platter with Hungarian and Schublig sausage, 2 Honey cured bacon(thick cut), baked beans, tomatoes, roasted potatoes, shiitake mushrooms and 2 eggs! Whew! That was a lot and we sure had a full stomach after devouring all that! 128517128061

I also had the Triberries smoothie, it was over the top thick and tasted so healthy haha cranberries, blueberries & strawberries 128069

Another one of the East's hidden gems. I've been hearing good reviews about this garden cafe and after visiting I'd say the overall aesthetic and feel of the place did not disappoint. The food was nothing out of the ordinary however. It looks better than it tastes. But with the serving size, it's actually good value for money.

I heard about this resto several times but reviews weren't consistent. Some said that it was just ordinary, while some really loved it.
On my end though, I gave it 4 stars because of the food and ambience, even though we had to wait around 30 minutes to be seated inside.

I really liked the truffle carbonara!!! It reminded me of the versions of MamaLou and even Mamou. Serving can be bigger though but I guess price was reasonable for its taste. 128523

My fiancé ordered One Pan breakfast - full English breakfast of sausages, bacon, beans, mushrooms, potatoes and eggs. We wanted to have 1 boiled egg and 1 scrambled, though the server said that the 2 eggs should be cooked the same. We chose to have them sunny side up instead. Haha! 9786

Eggs for Breakfast?

Yiiie! My boyfriend surprised me during our anniversary celebration and brought me all the way to Antipolo cause he knew that it has always been my dream to have a breakfast date with him. I'm a nocturnal being so whenever we go out on a date we start around lunch time to dinner already. This is our very first breakfast date so I got super kilig and a little teary-eyed when he brought me here. 128522

Eggs for Breakfast is located in Antipolo which is not so far from the city when you just wanna get away and have a peaceful meal with your loved one. Antipolo is located on a high point so it really feels like you're already out of town when you're just actually a few minutes away from Manila. Presko, malamig and the view of Makati Skyline is superb!

There's one point in time when my feed got flooded with newly opened restaurant in Antipolo and Eggs for Breakfast is on of those which caught my interest because of it classy and chic ambiance. The place is well lit, refreshing to the eyes because of the sunlight coming in from the windows, bright, colorful and cozy. Thank God I have a boyfriend who has taste and knows the places I would love to visit, so finally I was able to visit Eggs for Breakfast!

127859 One Pan Breakfast P470
Classic Full English Breakfast
Platter which consists of 2 Sausages namely Hungarian and Shublig, 2 thick cut honey cured bacon, tomatoes, baked beans, roasted potatoes, shitake mushrooms, 2 eggs

I LIKE how the Sausages were so tender, juicy and well seasoned. The baked beans would be the only thing here that I didn't like cause I just hate beans and they're not appetizing to me. Haha! Good thing the EGGS were fluffy, cause I really find P470 too pricey for a platter. This one is good for two already btw! I just discovered that I really am a rice-person cause I was looking for sinangag while eating the sausages.

127837 White Truffle Carbonara P250
Fetuccine Pasta Tossed in white truffle oil infused cream with parmesan cheese topped with crispy bacon bits and shitake mushrooms
Okay, so i'm one of those people who would order anything infused with truffle oil. When I checked the pasta section, I just ordered this instantly. I would give this 3 stars cause it's a little dry and the truffle oil's taste wasn't that noticeable. The shitake mushrooms were cooked well though, and I still enjoyed it overall.

127865Berries & Cherries Smoothie P195
Cranberry Juice • Blueberries • Cranberries • Raspberries • Cherries
Ahhh... berries are my obsession! Berry smoothies is one of my staples on my favorite drink aside from Houseblend Iced Teas and Milk Teas. They're like the first thing I look for on the beverage section on the menu, if they're not present then I just move on with Iced Tea LOL.
They're just so refreshing to drink and detoxifying. Kevin knew I would order this first thing, and he was correct! PLUS POGI POINTS! I really enjoyed this drink, the sweetness is just right and the serving is big, alam mong hindi ka tinipid sa ingredients!

127865Funky Monkey P155
Milk • Bananas • Chocolate • Peanut Butter
Knowing my boyfriend, When I checked the drinks on their menu I knew instantly that Kevin will order this. He's a lover of everything with Peanut Butter and Bananas and Milk. I know him so much I need not to ask him what he likes as beverage, and I AM CORRECT. Funky Monkey tasted well and wasn't as sweet as expected. Not a die hard fan of Drinks w/ Peanut Butter cause they make it extra sweet except for the Peanut Buttercup in Peri-peri and this one which has a subtle and light texture, taking out the umay factor.

128204 Feel free to look around cause the restaurant is filled with interesting and cute details
128204 Don't be shy to take photos cause it's instagram worthy
128204 The restaurant rarely gets full but if you will bring your bf/gf here, reserve the most romantic spot which is behind the logo "Eggs For Breakfast". If I will go back, I will sit here with my boyfriend and I will ask the wait staff to take our "candid" photos from the outside perspective, it just looks so romantic. (COVER PHOTO)
128204 Parking Space is Huge
128204 Service is great, the wait staff are friendly.
128204 They also have a vast garden area which is also a good events place for intimate gatherings

This is now my go-to breakfast place whenever I want to just relax and have a decent meal somewhere peaceful and calm.

My friends invited me to have brunch with them last Saturday at Marikina, but they also asked me for other places I might know of. Before they picked me up from my house, I suggested Eggs for Breakfast Café. I’ve never read the reviews about it, nor have I thought of visiting the place soon. When we were on our way, since we were really hungry, we decided on choosing the restaurant that we’ll arrive at faster, and this was it, somewhere in Antipolo.

I can’t believe how easy it was to go here. It’s not that far from SM Masinag. I’ve been to the village next to Villa Cecilia so many times before yet I never knew that I’d find this in that area. It was completely unexpected.

So we arrived the place and parked the car in their parking area. The whole place is huge! Only a small lot was for the actual restaurant, while the other areas are mostly garden. From the looks of it, I think the place is intended as venues for wedding receptions (or perhaps the actual wedding) since there are several different-sized houses around the area that can hold receptions. There are also a lot of arcs that are perfect for your photo ops.

We arrived the restaurant around 11:15am and the place was packed, since the restaurant is small and can only cater to around 20 people. There are also 2 small, round tables outside the restaurant, but it was hot so we wished to be seated inside. We had my name listed and just used the time to take pictures and decide on our orders. (We wanted to place our orders while waiting, but the server refused).

After the 15-20 minute wait, our table was finally ready, and so were our orders. We ordered their Buttermilk pancakes with caramelized bananas, the Eggs Benedict, the Beef Tapa, the One Pan breakfast, the yellow smoothie and the berries and cherries smoothie. Here are my thoughts:

127838Buttermilk Pancakes with Caramelized Bananas P255
2 large and fluffy pancake pieces with caramelized bananas and ice cream. This was delicious. The pancakes were a bit thick but soft and moist, and the syrup (I’m not sure what it was) just had the right amount of sweetness. This, with the melt-in-your-mouth caramelized bananas and vanilla ice cream made me close my eyes and secretly rejoice deep inside.

127859Eggs Benedict P285
This was my first eggs benedict. I didn’t like this. First, even though I’ve never had this dish before, I’ve seen that the egg should be cooked in a manner where the egg yolk should easily pop and ooze out. This wasn’t the case. Also, the sauce had a hint of wasabi, which I didn’t appreciate. (I hate wasabi. My friend, who usually orders egg benedicts, told us that this is not what hollandaise sauce tastes like).

128046Beef Tapa P240
I liked the beef they used for their tapa: striploin. The tapa was marinated well enough that I was able to taste both sweet and salty. It was served with garlic rice, 2 eggs of your choice (we had it cooked medium well), and a side of their home-made atsara.

🌭One Pan Breakfast P470
This breakfast for champions is composed of 2 sausages, 2 strips of bacon, some beans, roasted potatoes, mushrooms and 2 eggs of your choice. The bacon proved to be the champion among the champions in this dish. I also liked the potatoes. The sausages were just okay.

127821Yellow Smoothie P140
A smoothie of mixed pineapple, mangoes and bananas. This was a good, refreshing drink perfect for the setting.

127826Berries and Cherries Smoothie P195
A combination of cranberry juice, blueberries, cranberries, raspberries and maraschino cherries made one awesome and thick smoothie. I liked this better than the yellow smoothie primarily because it was composed of more ingredients, yet all of those blended well altogether. One down side to this drink was there were small dot-sized remains from the fruit. It was disturbing.

I have no complaints about the service, and the pricing is reasonable. As for the ambiance, I will just let you decide on that 128521

I loved my visit that I wanted to come back and eat again even if we just left their garage. I’ll pay this restaurant a visit again, SOON. Real soon.

A home converted to a diining place with a well maintained wide garden is what you will see. Serves some mean all day breakfast fare, pastas and sandwiches. Worth the long drive to Antipolo.

For me, it was pretty pricey. (Considering that I'm still a student)

The food was good. Their carbonara is actually good for 2 persons, and my favorite was the Nutella crepe! 127851 The best!

Funky monkey, their chocolate + peanut butter + banana milkshake is pretty solid also 128523

P.S We definitely LOVE the ambience!

The place is nice and cute but small. Good thing they have tables in the garden area - al fresco!

Food looks good especially the french toast but the taste is disappointing. Spell bland and you'll know what i mean.

The tapa, longgonisa and bacon were just fine. Nothing to talk about.

P1,500 for all of these + iced tea and hot tea.

No, I will not come back. 128532

To beat that summer heat, my friend and I headed over here to cool off for a bit. It was late lunch time then but this still seems apt: Triberries and Watermelon Smoothie, and Eggs Benedict. Though the latter was a bit runny, the sauce was just spot on. Overall taste was quite good. As for the smoothie, it was just perfect for the summer heat! I liked the whole combination bec. it just worked. And for its price, it's one sulit deal for me. Just look at how it's brimming with fruity goodness! 128523

Never thought we had this haven near our house. A 10 minute drive from our place.
A friend recommended this resto.
Been here thrice already
The frist time i had longganisa 110881108811088, it was not the sweet one that I usually eat. Not the super garlicy type too. A bit bland for me.

Next visit we had the platter 11088110881108811088, good for 2. I think this i one of their best sellers. I like th sausage. Loved the herbs in the potatoes. The bacon strips were okay.

110881108811088 pancakes.

110881108811088 coffee

I would try their other desserts next time. 127856127849127846127855

My friend wanted to eat here so we gave this a try.

Beautiful place, I can say. 128525 I had Eggs Benedict (picture) and french toast with berries.

P.S. They say, always leave room for dessert so before asking for the bill, I asked for the dessert menu. And I saw Peach Ravioli. Interesting! I loved it, btw. 128518

The place is hidden and away from the busy street of Sumulong hiway so it's a nice place to study or chill.

What we got:
Berries smoothie - cranberries, blueberries, etc so it tastes sour and I love it <3
Funky monkey smoothie - or choco-peanut-banana shake. Twas good and sweet
Nutella crepe - too sweet di ko naenjoy 128569
Pancakes with caramelized bananas - buttermilk pancakes <3 surprisingly ito yung fave ko!
French toast with berries - nothing special pero masarap naman :)

Overall, instagram worthy yung place and food. Prices are a bit expensive but tamang pwede na :))

I'm not a morning person but me
hubby went there for a breakfast date. We ordered One Pan breakfast set with 2 big sausages, beans, tomato slices, mushrooms, potatoes and 2 eggs ( we had it sunny side up) and their Deconstructed Hash Brown. The food was just okay nothing special but the place was nice.

The only problem we had when we went there was their service. The server that time was alone and we were only 3 tables eating at the moment. After the food arrived, we ask this girl server to take a picture of us. She said she'll be back but we waited and waited until I asked again for the second time. When I think she doesn't have an intention take our picture, that's the time this other waitress came in. So we asked her instead. I was very disappointed with the previous server my mood changed. Imagine, we came all the way from QC early morning just to celebrate and see the place. Taking a picture of customers won't consume one whole minute of her time and I think it is part of their customer service. I hope this will not happen to other picture addict customers like us. My day was ruined and I will NEVER go back to this place again (unless someone will treat me 128540).
