Me and my Nanay spent 6 nights at this resort last month. El Nido Reef Strand is in Calaan so you have to walk 10-15 minutes to reach the town proper. Quite far but its the perfect place if:
🏼You want an amazing view of the ocean and mountain. Everything gets better at sunset. Just look at the picture and tell me if that alone is not enough to book a room at this resort!
🏼You want to strike a balance between budget and comfort.
🏼You want to get away from flocks of tourists in the island. If you're a scaredy cat, going home might be a challenge at night since you always have to passed by a cemetery.
Getting the best deal is easy if you know the trick. I do my Hotel hunting on travel websites and online travel agencies. I usually pick three hotels based on customer reviews, location and price. Once I have the hotel names, I will look for the contact info on Facebook to know their price. It's always cheaper compared to online booking. I've only tried this on my local travels tho.
Back to EL Nido Reef Strand. I spoke to the owner (ate bella) via email and she took care of everything.

Rooms are air-conditioned with private toilet and bath, balcony, hot and cold shower and the wifi signal is good. Free breakfast which usually consist of toasted breads, ham, sunny side up egg and coffee. The owners are the nicest people too.
Renovations will happen to better improve their facilities. They are planning to build a bar and infinity pool. Construction might end by December.
This will also mean that they will increase their price.
