It is my first time here in San Juan, La Union and my first stop is at El Union Coffee.

Loved their chill vibe and good coffee. Ordered Flat White (P120) and it did not disappoint!

Ordered Dirty Horchata, Smores and Grilled Cheese sandwich with Bacon Jam. Everything was so delish and excited all my senses!

I love the Dirty Horchata so much since I am a fan of anything cinnamon and the drink was able to achieve a perfect blend of espresso and horchata without overpowering one another. Worth it for 150 bucks since it's so filling and the serving is big.

I also know now why everyone is raving about the grilled cheese sandwich. The bacon jam and sriracha sauce made more mouth-watering. Serving was little though and I could've ordered another but it's quite expensive :(.

Lastly, smores. Not too sweet and burnt just right.

El Union is one of the reasons why I will keep coming back to La Union.

Been to this place once and it's really cozy but the ventilation is not that good but the grilled cheese is awesome 128076🏻 would definitely recommend to everyone. We tried their bestseller drink iced dirty horchata but I did not enjoy it I just love the smell of the cinnamon.

A++ for everything! The place has such chill vibes! Coffee is great! We ordered the iced Dirty White. The coffee was too strong but you can ask for free syrup to suit your liking :) The Smores was great! Would definitely go back! Must try!

There is a hip café in San Juan that the surfers frequent and it’s called El Union Coffee. The best thing about it, they serve specialty coffee so you can be sure that their coffee drinks are of quality.

I didn’t know which drink to order so I asked the barista for his recommendation. I wanted something cold; he suggested dirty horchata.

Horchata is a cold drink with rice milk, cinnamon, almond essence, and vanilla extract. They call it Dirty Horchata when it has espresso. There is something unique to the taste of this drink that separates it from any of the iced coffee drink that I had before. It was nice but could use more espresso. Somehow the rice milk dulled the coffee flavor. But it was refreshing, which is just what I needed that hot afternoon.

The grilled cheese came with Sriracha sauce. Why would anyone put this red hot sauce in a cheese sandwich?! Beats me, but I tried it anyway to see if they are on to something and apparently, they are. For some reason it works, the sauce did something to enhance the taste of the sandwich that I finished the sandwich in no time.

I was also able to try flat white, it was rich and creamy. I contemplated about buying their bestseller, s’mores but eventually decided against it.

If you're going to San Juan and you're a coffee lover like me, you shouldn't miss El Union Coffee.

"Is it too late now to say s'more-y?" 128513 2nd time at El Union because I missed their s'mores. Haay. So good! Sarap na babalik-balikan 128512 We even ordered extra graham crackers. Tried their flat white iced coffee this time and it tastes okay. I liked the dirty horchata (tried it last time) better. I will try their sandwich next time. If you happen to be in LU, El Union is a place you shouldn't miss. 128512128077🏻

Yaay! Finally! We have tried the famous El Union Coffee in LU. A must visit place! 128151 We had our breakfast here on our last day. We ordered:

Grilled Cheese which is a perfect one for me! The cheese is sooo thick with Sriracha Hot Sauce on the side which makes a perfect taste! (P150)

Pancake with Nutella is also good, it has some special taste on their butter, i guess it's the lemon plus a maple syrup!
(P190)

Of course, their best seller Indoor S'mores (Large - P300) The blend of marshmallows and nutella makes it even more scrumptious! We enjoyed it so much that we finished it quickly! Haha 128514 (P300- Large; P160- Small)

For our drinks, we ordered for Iced Dirty White, well nothing special about it. It's tastes just a typical iced coffee. (P120)

We stayed at the bar cause other seats were occupied.

After a scrumptious dinner at Gefseis Greek Grill, we went to El Union for dessert and coffee. Like Gefseis, it moved to a new and better location, the beach front 10084️. It has a nice hippie ambiance. Their menu include iced drinks, hot coffee, sandwiches, pancakes and desserts such as skillet cookie and their famous s'mores. We ordered the folowing:

Indoor S'mores: (Large - Php 300, Small - Php 160) it was heavenly! The toasted mallows blended perfectly with nutellaa. It tasted so good that we even ordered extra graham crackers 128514

Dirty Horchata: (Php 140) One of their special ice drinks. It is a rice milk concoction with cinnamon and a shot of espresso. I love anything with cinnamon that's why I liked it so much 128525

Dirty White (Php 120) -my friends ordered this. It tasted good, too!

This place is a must-visit in Elyu! Nice ambiance and the staff are so accommodating 128077🏻 (Visit my blog for more photos @ El Union)128512

El Union Coffee features a wooden theme which blends nicely with the surfing/outdoor-sy area of San Juan. There's place for about 10-12 people inside and there's a small bar around the counter/kitchen area. Prices are reasonable (around 120 bucks for their iced coffees/mochas/etc) and their caffeine levels pack quite a punch (you'll prolly need huge amounts of energy anyway for surfing). If you're a fan of sweets, their S'mores is a must-try. It was practically oozing with chocolate underneath *drools*. Staff (or the owners?) were also very accommodating and friendly plus I liked the fact that customers were requested to put back their cups on the counter. We need to be less lazy in this country.

El Union Coffee is the very reason why I wanted to go to La Union in the first place. Well, I have always wanted to try their S'mores and coffee. And when I did, I am beyond happy. The place is very cozy. Seriously, chill for hangouts. I don't know how they do that but they serve their coffees fast and good. We tried their Iced Dirty White which I think is a shot of espresso and mostly milk on the rocks. However, it has strong flavor. A bitter one, really. But it taste good. It's something like a long black with lots of milk on it. Can be compared to the macchiato of Yardstick, I think. The S'more is divine!!! Ugh. I love it really. Especially the burnt parts of the mallows. They made use of Hershey's chocolate, and it's really tasty. For additional graham crackers it costs Php 10 for 4 pcs. Definitely a must to go place in San Juan. Whether for an evening chill, or day time thirst quencher.

We were here everyday during our 3-day Elyu stay. Awesome coffee - be it the flat white (dirty white), iced long black, cold brew mocha, or the refreshing clean black. I was lucky enough to get the last batch of the bacon jam for the day - the hype is real! So good! The Cosio kids were cute and entertaining too!

Was surprised that this was my 100th review, back when i wrote my 1st review i didnt imagine that it would reach 100.

So heres something worthy of my 100th review, El Union the quaint coffee shop at la union that serves good quality coffee. Its coffee quality is up there with tobys, commune and yardstick.

I ordered their flat white which can be seen at the pic and it was really good. I also ordered smores for the group, cant be seen in the pic but its worth googling. 128512 its best shared and paired with coffee. Just a tip, dont add milk or sugar to its coffee.
