Krizia Anna C has always asked me to try Empanada Nation's Ilocos empanada for ages and I have never got a chance to drop by. Layo kasi ng Sergeant Esguerra e. 128517 Finally dropped by last time after dining at Don Andres. Got hungry after a few hours of life talks with Kath A 128514128514

Since Kath was under pressure of time because she has to catch the MRT which closes at around 9-10pm, I had to order fast and also eat the empanada fast. After ordering, it arrived quite after a little long, as you know they're usually made fresh. Wasn't able to see how they did it that time but got to do so in malls where these empanadas really got long queues.

I liked it and I think it would be better if more fillings were inside. Medyo nakulangan lang. Also, hirap kumain nang super init ha! Fresh from dip frying it in hot hot oil and diretso and madaling kainin. My tongue was in agony kahit na sanay ako kumain ng mainit. 128514128514 it came with their sauce that had the subtle taste of vinegar. not too strong as i remember it to be 128517

Place is open air by the way, but good thing it was not hot and there were electric fans enough to keep us cool. 128077🏻 They're pay as you order and i think they don't accept credit card payments.

Best ilocos empanada i've ever tasted! As in! And i've heard a lot of people say that too! I'm addicted to this!

I've read bad reviews about this for their service. Their crew isn't exactly friendly or efficient, but decent enough to give you the food and taste you're expecting and will enjoy. So you may just ignore them and simply enjoy the food Ü

I've tried their bagnet, longganisa, the kamatis with sibuyas and bagoong. I loved them all. Ü

The food here may not make you say "wow amazing!" But if you're looking for ilocos food, you wont regret going here. Ü

You can't go wrong with their King's meal - 2 pieces of Vigan longganisa, bagnet and salted egg served with the very Ilocano KBL sauce (Kamatis, Bagoong, Lasona). Delicious pork belly deep fried to perfection that goes well with the salty and garlicky longganisa. Best to order this with fried egg. And did I mention the garlic rice is refillable?

My nth visit but food still tastes good!! Tasted poqui poqui for the first time. It was okay. Bagnet is still the best. Too bad they're getting less guests.

Another hole-in-the-wall, great food with a great price! That's what crossed my mind after having a well satisfying dinner (burp!). The place looks like a typical canteen set-up, nothing fancy, it's clean and cozy. The food are just great, everything tastes authentic, longanisa, empanada, and bagnet with kbl are just to die for. Will definitely come back for more. 128523

Taste of Ilocos in Manila. King's meal is the best, bagnet, vigan longganisa, KBL, salted egg, unli fried rice and sukang Ilocano.

Wanted to satisfy my Ilocano food cravings so we went here for lunch. The place is kind of small but it looks neat. So i ordered their King's Meal which has bagnet, vigan longganisa, kbl, and fried rice(unlimited). I also ordered their poqui-poqui which was really tasty. All in all its a must for those people who craves ilocano food. They also offer a lot of other ilocano food like the empanada of course and many more. :)

Had brunch with John B, Cj D and Angeline P around Morato. This Ilocano diner serves good food!

I had the King's plate which includes Bagnet, Longganisa, red egg, KBL, iced tea and unli rice. Not bad for Php 195. Also the poqui-poqui was good for sharing for just Php 80.

Everything was good and filling!

The service and place were okay too :)

I will write this review in Tagalog kasi parang Hindi bagay sa English dahil pinoy na pinoy ang food dito.

Anyway, kapag kasi nasa opisina at napaguusapan ang Ilocano Food, the Ilocos Empanada always comes up. As in they're so amazed on how tasty it is. So since ang trip to Ilocos namin ay sa March pa, we looked for a place near us that serves Ilocano dishes.

Una, we ordered their Vigan Longganisa Meal na may kasamang itlog na maalat. Panalo to. Samahan mo ng sukang Ilocos, sobrang sarap.

The girlfriend ordered their bagnet, also with red egg.

Now comes the empanada. Masarap sya! We ordered the double Longganisa so random na ramdam mo yung meat. We can't wait to try the ones in Ilocos.

Sinerve nya yung order namin by just placing the tray on our table. As in di man lang nilagay isa isa yung mga inorder namin sa mesa. Bwiset.

Anyway, babalik pa rin kami dito dahil aside from masarap and malapit, ang mura pa. At ang poqui-poqui! Babalikan ko ang poqui-poqui!

My staple order everytime I'm here: their Special Ilocos Empanada. It has 1 pc Ilocos longganisa, veggies and egg. For only Php 65, sulit na sulit! No need for rice, busog ka na :)

I grew up having Bagnet, Diningding and Papaitan at home so I'm very critical of places that serve them. Empanada Nation, I must say, is the best Bagnet place I've been to (okay maybe tied with 8065 Bagnet in Makati).

Empanada Nation never fails to satisfy my cravings for Ilocano comfort food. Their Bagnet is crunchy and deep fried without swimming in oil. The KBL aka kamatis, bagoong and lasona, fried rice and salted egg served with it make it the perfect meal. Some don't like their Longganisa but the ones I grew up with were garlicky and a tad on the dry side (perhaps because it doesn't have as much fat). Try the King's Meal to sample both the Bagnet and Longganisa. For returning customers, I recommend the Crispy Dinardaran (which I assume is the dish that inspired Kanin Club's Crispy Dinuguan) Crispy Bagis (deep fried pork intestines which I usually order to go for movie night; I'm strange, I know) and Pinakbet (a vegetable dish usually helps curb the guilt). I can't speak for the Ilocos empanada though because I'm not really a fan so I've never really ordered it.

Aside from the great food which they serve on real plates (somehow that's important though I wish they used real glasses, too) they have free parking (as far as I know) and they're open til after midnight. So if you're in the mood for Pinoy food but tired of generic places like Gerry's and Congo Grille give Empanada Nation a try.

Whenever I eat/drink sweets or drink alcoholic beverages, I always crave for something salty and/or unhealthy. Then one Saturday night, I was so drunk that I craved for Tropical Hut/Tapsilog/Bagnet. Then we passed by Empanada Nation. So bagnet it was.

I got their combo meal which consists of Bagnet, Vigan Longganisa, Salted Egg, Unlimited Fried Rice & their Sukang Iloco (I don't what its called but it has tomatoes and onions). Their bagnet was good, or maybe I was drunk that's why it tasted really good. Heheh. But their longganisa was very dry and sad. I did not eat it. Also their salted egg tasted really old and not fresh. But I liked their fried rice and vinegar.

Place was empty but the restaurant beside it was very loud. Feeling ko nasa gimikan ako. 128529 Felt really guilty after eating this so next time I'll try to avoid bagnet. Sinful! 128061

(I left my phone that's why I have no picture. Stole this photo from my friend instead)
