The sooner your ignore the place's cleanliness the sooner you will enjoy their food. The hakaw is our favorite as its filled generously with shrimp not extenders. Their lechon macau is also delicious, but try not to think about the possible heart attack. Other food are also reliably good and generously portioned. Just tell them to cut back on the oil because they tend to get carried away.

Ive never seen such oily dimsum in my life. They oiled it as if trying to mask something. Horrible. Their fish fillet congee was not good also. Soy chicken rice was dry and unappetizing. Wonton noodle soup was also poor and soup was full of msg. Their special hofan soup was also poor.

I love their Siu Mai and Hakaw dimsum.Hot and yummy dimsum with a price anyone can afford. the place was big and spacious, something that one expects from a Chinese restaurant. Food's quite good, love the "lechon macau" and prices are fair; decor is bland but place is clean. Service is fast and friendly. Open quite late so perfect when you've got the midnight munchies.

This place just looks like the traditional Chinese place where families usually gather for great Chinese food at friendly prices. The ambiance is very simplistic and warm, suitable for just casual night-outs with your family. There’s nothing really fancy in this place. This is just the place you go to if you’re craving for genuine Chinese Restaurant with really convenient parking and average interiors. There’s so much dishes we ordered at this place, must- try are Hakaw, Siomai and Sweet & Sour Pork. and dont forget their White Chicken and Soy Chicken too! house tea is great!

One of my fave Cantonese dish .. Lotus leaves with preserve pork & sausages ... U can hv it in top Chinese resto in the metro.. but usually needs to wait 30mins or longer for the dish to be served ... So troublesome ....I actually know how to prep the dish myself at home... but run out of my fave sausages ... Will need to remember to stock up on my next trip.

Asked a friend to get me take outs from here coz they hv it cooked already & steamed like dimsums... It doesn't taste as good as freshly cooked ones or as good as mine... Haha... Feeling ....but it's convenient .....good for a quick fix...they're open till 1-2am too... craving satisfied ... Happy !!!

Rating only for this dish & it's convenience ... service & place not included

I've probably eaten here 20 times in the last 8 years. I never fail to have their yum cha. Great prices (P300/ head) for Dimsum, fried rice, vegetables or mains.
Hakaw and kuchay dumpling are great
Spareribs w/ taosi., clay pot chicken are good too.
Yanchow & Lapulapu are their best dishes.

They stay open til midnight I think.

I've always wondered though, why their parking lot is often full when there are only a few tables occupied. A secret restaurant for friends of owners in the back perhaps?

I always want to go to this resto whenever I crave for dimsum. The taste of their Chinese dishes are authentic-licious! Order for their lechon macau (thin slices of pork) and hainanese white chicken (on the photo), gotta love the ginger that goes with the hainanese chicken slices, sort of sweet and it compliments the chicken! Don't forget to order for their siomai and hakao. Not to mention, gulp on their free house tea 128522

Had always wanted to put in a review of Emperor's but always forgot. This is one if our default places to eat during lazy days. Either too lazy to think about what to eat or too lazy to cook and too lazy to go out to eat. They serve good casual Chinese food and dimsum, and they have been consistent so far over the years.

Ambiance is so so, your typical Chinese restaurant environment, much like those in Chinatown. Facade is not that appealing but who cares as long as the food is good :)

Their dimsum is quite good, much better than Mongkok but second to Gloria Maris. They also have a good selection like the authentic HK restos. Most dimsum places locally only serve the basics. We like the cheong fan (white rice rolls), ham Sui kok (fried pork sticky dumpling) and their beef balls which were bouncy :) the only disappointment was that they didn't have Worcestershire sauce. An expert on HK dimsum will know that Worcestershire sauce for the beef balls are a must. Bring your own if you'd want to try that to take home their beef balls at least. The basic Siomai and shrimp dumpling are also quite good here.

The congee is great too. I would usually call for delivery when I don't feel like eating anything except a light congee. The noodles, on the other hand are not really that good nor authentic.

Although we don't normally go for fresh seafood here, this time they offered steamed live fish. Not every chef can perfect a steamed live fish bec a minute can make a big difference. It's always too overcooked. So most of the time, we don't order it unless we already trust the resto. My mom used to tell us It's an art that requires years of mastery haha! Knowing the exact size of the fish, the strength of the fire and the duration :)

We ordered two medium size lapu lapu for the group. One was cooked perfectly just right stage of doneness keeping the meat soft and light. The other was a bit overcooked, but just a tiny bit ;)

Other dishes we've tried that are good: sautéed squid, spare ribs, eggplant hot pot, salted fish fried rice...

Staff was efficient and quite attentive

Parking is available although half is double parked and you need to move your car when someone you're blocking leaves, and it opens till late, I think 1am ;)

Emperor's is the place to for any late night dimsum hankerings. The dimsum is succulent and flavorful with many choices to experiment with. Personal faves are the ampalaya siomai, hakaw, four seasons and taro puff balls. I find the beef balls to be too salty tho. Open til 1am sunday to thursday and til 2am on Friday and Saturday. Man, I love Wilson street. It's a foodie sanctuary!
