claims their steak's included in the top 10... didin't meet expectations 128530

got the chicken breast gyro with cheese... healthy and the only thing that i liked in this resto. tried also the steak gyro with cheese and it left me disappointed. steak's mostly "litid" , difficult to chew. it seems that there's something missing with the food, probably the sauce, meat didin't absorb it that much.

and since we ordered a messy dish, expecting server to be apt in giving tissue but to my dismay i have to call his attention to provide us with one. no lavatory/restroom for washing. ☹

again i have to wait long before i can consume their burnt carbonara because servers' mostly inside the cooking area. yes, carbonara has burnt after-taste (overcooked sauce, bacon and mushroom). 128530

sorry but not coming back

First of all the place looked small, cramped and dirty. No proper exhaust, ended up smelling like smoke though we already stayed outside of the store. The tables were freaking sticky and it took them a long time to set up as well as clean up. Had to ring em a few times before we got entertained because it was a "pay as you order" kinda place.

I got chicken breast steak and upgraded my rice to mashed potato but they didnt have it so i was stuck with carbonara. The chicken breast was dry AF, and did not taste like anything. It was just so freaking sad and small . And the carbonara was served in a small stainless bowl and half of it was onions. LIKE WTF SRSLY? ONIONS!!!!!! And the hugely chopped ones.

My boyfriend on the other hand got their solo steak and it was dry and it was not tender at all though he already got it in medium, ang tigas pa din. The gravy that comes with it was too salty as well. They serve all their dishes with this vegetable side dish which was just SOGGY CABBAGES + ONIONS (again).

Will never go back to this place ever and will NEVER recommend it to anyone. Seriously. If i could rate it negative, I would!!!! Bad service, ugly ambiance, very little serving, really really really bad food, i cant even ughhhhh.

The Corleone-- "Truffle-infused tomato-cream pasta with seared mushrooms, topped with their signature steak".

Big serving enough for two! Looking for the "creamy" taste though, it's more of a pomodoro sauce. Generous serving of their signature steak. 128077

I dont typically eat steak as I'm more of a chicken and veggies girl, but Empire Steak's succulent, lip smacking steak is my go to place when i have a hankering for meat. Relatively cheap for USDA steaks.

Got our usual steak orders and truffled mashed potato. However, they served us the regular mashed potato. Didn't bother to have it changed because my brother is already halfway through it and he hadn't noticed it because of his colds. We also had the Empire ice cream, we've noticed that the shot of brandy was missing. As a regular customer, it was easy to tell if there's something different with the food. I mentioned those to the server but he didn't apologize. Got a little disappointed with the minor mishaps but nevertheless, we went home full and satisfied with our steaks.

Vanilla ice cream, Speculoos cookie butter, a shot of brandy, dusted with cinnamon powder. This is how Jesuit priests have their ice cream, says the owner.

We had a first taste of this unique creation when we met the owner because of our frequent dining. It wasn't included in their menu back then but we kept on ordering it nonetheless. Recently they added it in their menu, the Empire Ice Cream. 10084

A hidden gem tucked in one of the streets near Maginhawa, Empire Steak is fastly becoming well-known because of their good and affordable steak. Since our "discovery" last year, we've been dining there quite frequently. My usual order is the Solo Steak (Ribeye with mixed veggies and rice) with an additional order of truffled mashed potato. Yummm! 10084

Had the King Kong Steak (Regular)... left sorely disappointed. The steak was overdone and gristly. The truffled mashed potatoes were okay... but not worth raving about. Likely not going back again. Bad service, bad ambiance, bad food.

The steak was okay, reasonably priced for the serving size. The meat was soft and easy to chew, though it was cooked a little longer than I preferred and there wasn't much fat. The BBQ sauce improves the taste a bit and I like it better than the gravy, which I tried on my first visit.

The vegetables didn't add much to the flavor but I suppose it's better than the usual buttered corn and carrots, or even nothing at all. The truffle mashed potatoes were good, had just the right amount of truffle flavor, but I don't think it's worth the P75 price tag.

I would go back here for cheap steaks, but I would rather spend a little more for something that's a little better-tasting.

Empire Steak is one of the many hole-in-the-wall restaurants in our village. Its specialty is steak.

For less than 200 pesos, the steak with rice, mashed potato, and gravy tasted fine.

The place is small, can accommodate probably five people. Parking area is a challenge.

I came across this place because I was itching to go home and got hungry on the way. I looked at their menu and since I was planning on taking out, I ordered their truffle mashed potatoes, worth 99 pesos.

99 pesos for a serving in the attached photo. An ice cream of that size costs less! Plus the service was really slow, maybe because they just opened? They taste good but when I consumed more of it I found it to be watery. 128552

In their menu, the cheapest solo meal is 199. Haven't tried their other food but I don't think i can go back, since the price is definitely more than its quantity and value and quality. No-go for me.

My boyf and I were about to see my friends to grab "drinks" at Clerisy, Matalino St. when we realised that we're both hungry. 128532128560

We decided to stop by and eat at the "food hub" of the metro, Maginhawa. 128663127751

Burger Project was our top choice when we found this precious place, Empire Steak, while searching for parking and ended up eating there instead. 127828127839

I ordered Solo Steak (P199) and Jonee had Double Steak (P365). 127835127835

I kind of liked their food but when it comes to serving, it'll be not worth its price. They had a little serving for rice and veggies. I hope they'll work on this. 128532

We wanted to try this place since it opened but we never got to until last night. A friend's hungry for steak post made me crave steak bad.

We liked it. Simple. Straightforward. Affordable. Comfort food.

We ordered the double steak, medium rare (photographed). Kinda didn't slice it perfectly but it was indeed medium rare. And it was yummy, juicy, and tender. You really taste the meat.

We upgraded the rice to truffle mashed potato and ordered an extra butter mashed potato. We liked them both! The difference is very distinct. The truffle one is really earthy, while the butter is really buttery. Both are very creamy and comforting.

The gravy needs improvement. It's runny and thin on the flavor. We would try their barbecue sauce option next time.

We also want to go all-out and order the KingKong Meal next time. We just didn't want to eat way too much with tea and s'mores brownies still waiting for us at home.

The ambience has a hole-in-the-wall feel, because it is. Simple and stripped down. It's a steak house, that's it. And we like it that way. Though my partner thinks they should consider replacing the monobloc chairs and tables into something better, while maintaining their simple feel.

The staff is really accommodating. It's self-service, pick a table and order yourself. You should also help yourself to water, salt, and pepper if you want it. There is no staff to coddle you, but they will great you with a smile as you enter and exit. And they are fast with the order.

All that food and service for less than P500. Goes to show that you don't necessarily have to spend a lot to eat well. You just need to be adventurous and explore. We will definitely go back.

Quick Solo Steak fix at Php 199. Instead of rice, upgrade your side to truffle mashed potatoes.

They're known for having one of the best steaks in town. It was pretty good. But the funny thing is the meat tastes like how my yaya makes fried pork so I wasn't too wow-ed out. It's pretty good though and very filling so I felt like the P199 I spent was worth it. The drinks are overpriced though. I paid P75 for a canned A&W. My friends liked the mashed potato a lot. 128077

Got the solo steak for Php199. For some reason, the steak tasted bland and the gravy was peculiarly iffy. We asked for medium rare, and we got our steak well done. The veggies were also soggy, which really puzzled me.

The ambiance of the place was casual and clean, no problems in that area.

Its an ok place to dine in. Food is palatable, but the steak is something I won't rave about.

Oh, ignore the No Entry sign when coming from Maginhawa st. since the gate at the other side is closed.
