Enchanted Cave

The name itself gives meaning to the place since it is really Enchanted it is literally a huge coral reef that had emerged from under water years ago. It was believed that the cave was discovered when one of the locals had dropped a stone and heard that there was a splash of water from within, since then they have tried to explore more whats inside.

Upon entry to the cave you would take the stairs down to the spring hall. Where you would be amazed by the turquoise water from the sea. The water is more than 7 Feet Deep. The water is so Clear and not Stinky, Our guide mentioned that there is a small passage to the sea at the very end of the cave and that is where the water comes from. The guide also said that the reason the water is clean and clear is that it is being replaced almost every 4 seconds because of the air coming from the small passage. These words make it more enchanted since the water is not salty and one would not see any movement from the water. We tried to go beyond the Chambers but we failed to do so.

Hammocks under the trees where installed to appreciate the old coral formations while you lay and relax. You can also have your kids enjoy and have themselves get wet with their Kiddie pools made with artificial falls.

This place is open from 8am to 5pm. Upon arrival, we were informed that the entrance fee is P150. So we went inside and we were accompanied by a tour guide who served also as out photographer na rin. I didn't know they also had rooms inside the resort. I also saw some hammocks and a kiddie pool.

The cave itself is very small. Buti na lang we went early so kaunti mga tao. Although the cold water was really refreshing, the cave itself was really disappointing. I was expecting a little bit more WOW/OMG factor because of the name - "Enchanted".

Overall, the resort has potential if they really develop it but the cave.. Mehh. Sorry.

Enchanted Cave is one of the most popular tourist spots in Bolinao.

Before you reach the Enchanted Cave you will need to walk for 5mins. The whole place is surrounded by limestones. The place has a garden, small swimming pool for kids, and a man-made falls. If you want to have a picnic, there's an available cottage around the area, but it's not for free. You can also rent life vests for 30php but it's all up to you.

When you enter the enchanted cave, you will be amazed by the cool and clear emerald green water. Its depths ranging from 3ft to 7ft. We decided to take a dip, the water is clean and cold. We just stay near the rope (the safest place) because the depth is just 3ft. Some areas inside the cave are restricted and too dark. And always be cautious because the rocks on the cave are sharp.

Operating hours is from 8AM to 5PM. The best time to visit the cave is during daytime to avoid too many people. There's an entrance fee of 150php per person and a parking fee of 30php. There's also a tour guide that will guide you until you reach the cave.

Water's cold, but perfect for summer. Surroundings' amazing, real reefs like twas believed to be part of the sea 10 million yrs ago. If you're gonna visit the cave en go for a swim, I recommend you wear Aqua shoes, rocks underneath can be somewhat sharp/pointy, single wrong step can hurt you. Plus don't dive though it's a bit deep, too risky. Overall experience was amazing.

This is one of the most popular tourist spots in Bolinao. I like how the place is surrounded by coral rocks and clam fossils. They claim it as proof that the area was part of the sea approx ten million years ago. They have nice cottages inside but no decent shower rooms (which was the only thing I hated). Aside from the cave itself, they have a kiddie pool. It's basically a resort.

The cave, which is the main attraction, isn't that big. It's 3 feet deep on the edges, and 7 feet in the middle. It could be quite smelly inside probably because of bat waste. It also gets scary when there are two many people inside since the only passageway is narrow. It was quite an experience though.

Throwback!!!

This is my absolute fave place in Bolinao! I honestly liked it more than the Hundred Islands... Very quiet and secluded, it's a short trek to go underground... The water is absolutely clear, you can see to the bottom... It's also cold so it wakes you right up! The rocks are of a beautiful earthy color... Nice place to stop by and relax... Best to have a guide btw! Not a DIY trip!128513

A must visit while in Bolinao!
Honestly, at first i thought that I should not put this in our itinerary since the pics I have seen in the net were not that appealing. But since it was on the way to patar beach we've decided to check it out. The place was like a big garden with (sort of dried) coral reefs everywhere and relics of real humungous clams, natives say that the place used to be a part of the ocean.

We climbed a few stairs to reach the entrance of the cave. There was a small lounge where people who don't like to take a dip can wait. It cost P150 for a tour and a dip in the cave (tour guide/life guard included). The water in the cave was super clear and freezing cold. But after a while we got used to it. The water was 6-7ft, but there are parts that are really deep to the point that we can't see the bottom anymore, still we really enjoyed swimming into the clear cold water, it was refreshing and relaxing 128077. We were all joking that we were rejuvenated and got clearer skin after the dip 128539
For those who don't like to swim in the cave water, there's a mini pool at the other side which was only 3-4ft. 128516
