They had remodeled the place to include a cafe inside in an attempt to upscale the bakeshop a bit.. But it's quite difficult to do that in Binondo and maintain a competitive price range. So stars for effort 128517

The least favorite place we visited goes to Eng Ho. The yema cake and frappes are too sweet. I like sweets but they should be able to strike a balance on the flavors. Also, the egg pie is too eggy. I hope they can do something to mask the eggy scent so my tastebuds will only focus on the richness of the pie.

I must say Eng Ho is good place to chill tho. It's well ventilated and not as crowded as Wai Ying.

I accidentally discovered Eng Ho bakeshop long ago while I was wandering around Binondo Chinatown. These shop sells items other than their famous mamon cakes. they also has Hopia, and other Chinese foods.

Their Custard Cake cake is perfect because it’s not too sweet and satisfies our sweet tooth without having to be overwhelm with sugar.

Eng Ho's Mamon cake is soft and sweet. People might think that this cake is not delicious because it lacks the icing and other designs that are seen on other cakes.

My mom gave Eng Ho's bread thumbs up. 128077
We enjoyed eating it until the last slice. Even if they look plain, Eng Ho's mamon and custard cake taste the best.

One of the best if not the best egg pie I've tasted really good. The chicken pie and siopao are good too. Thanks Sinful B for your review. 128522

20+ years ago this was my "first food" after a success major operation i had! I remember vividly when my family & doc asked me "Cherry, what is the first thing that you want to see in your (hospital) room when you're back from operation?" Without blinking i answered "Egg Pie! from Eng Ho" haha!
Truly a hidden gem in binondo! The most mindblowin' egg pie for me ever since childhood! 128163128525128149

This place is quite old and some will not notice that its a bakeshop. You buy over the counter and you can eat inside the shop but there are no tables. The food to try here is their 'chicken pie'. They sell some beverages also.
