The experience wasn’t something I’ll call epic. It was decent and most likely re visit when am in the area. The menu is quite limited to a food trip. It’s more of your traditional coffee shop. Yes they got a lot of coffee variety here.

For Php 510, I had the following:

Hazelnut coffee was overly sweet and not hot so I had it changed. The second round was the opposite- bitter. So I had milk added.

Homemade Corned Beef- it looked like it was from the can and the ones in the can tasted better. It’s good though that it’s not oily and the eggs that came with were prepared well.

Vegetable Sandwich- lacked imagination. They simply put together lettuce, tomato, cucumber, apple and cheddar cheese. What about pesto or any other vegetable dressing to make it jive well?

The ambience is cozy and displays were fitting to its overall feel.

Food and service was great. their iced latte was pretty good with their sausage from poco deli but when I came back just to get take out, they wouldn't let me in because I had my puppy with me, even though he was in a bag and we were staying for a few minutes. Coffee was not that good to wait outside for my order

So we tried Epic Cafe for the second time and yes it's worth another try. Food was served prompt and hot except for the hash that comes with the corned beef meal. It was frozen, refried cubes of potato (imagine eating cold fastfood fries). Tapa meal is also good. Carrot cake was expectional and indeed epic! Not too sweet, you can taste the tart cream cheese frosting. It was moist and excitingly delicious. Every bite gives you a taste of carrot, raisin, walnut, enveloped in a cinnamon-ny aftertaste. I would highly recommend it!
Con: Customer Service. No greeting and they hardly ever smile. Seems they havent eaten their breakfast yet. Second try, same sad experience.

Nice ambience, a good alternative to your usual SB coffee shop if your looking for a chill place to hang out. I ordered pour over coffee, I didn't see an actual "pour over" done by the barista so its brewed using drip (i think). We also ordered lemon cake and cheese cake. I was expecting a fresh (cistrusy), light, tangy, a bit custardy cake but the cake was dense like a pound cake and very light in terms of its lemon flavor you'd thought its a buttter cake. I'd be back yes and maybe try out some of their other offerings. (Pardon the low quality pic) 🙂

I used to frequent Kapitolyo when i was working as a night owl in Ortigas. When I say frequent, it is not synonymous to "i tried all of the restos" kind of thing. I go to Kapitolyo because of Eleven Tables. The joint that made me appreciate wine.

I am back after X number of years. This time it is different. Me and my homies are doing some recon work in the area. First stop is Epic Cafe. If my memory serves me right, they have been around for quite sometime. I remember passing by 'em before. I kid you not, Epic is a word that sticks to your memory.

Me and my homie Clarissa P arrived a little after 9am. I pleasantly surprised with the lovely interior. I don't mean hearts and flowers when i say "lovely" 128512. It reminds me of Rosalee's Spice and Tea. Wood is predominant, from the furniture down to the shelves. I like the fact that this place is biker friendly (i assumed that it is due to the vintage bikes adorning the wall and they sell biker stuff too). And oh, they sell vintage cameras too 128247.

Grub x Caffeine.

I got my eye on the Lemon Cake. We got one slice to share and a cup of mocha for Cla. The lemon cake is really really good! The cake is moist and flavored with lemon zest. The icing is not overly sweet and has a tastes like lemon too. Don't let all the "lemon" discourage you as the sour element is just enough to tickle tour citrus fancy.

P.S Apart from the coffee, they also have savory dishes. Coffee is good too, refer to Cla's review.

First time here at Epic Cafe and I instantly loved it! The mix of wood, bricks, black boards and unfinished ceiling gave it a very cozy and chill vibe. The place was warmly lit with an overall modern industrial theme.

Went here to try their coffee and we also got a slice of cake. I wanted to try a lot of their cake flavors - lemon, rainbow, strawberry, Sans Rival and even the Rustic but I had to stop myself. Reich T decided to get a slice of Lemon cake and I got a regular cup of Mochaccino.

The Lemon Cake Slice (125Php) was delicious! Three layers of moist lemon cake, not too sour, frosted with a simple icing. Each layer had some lemon zest in between. The lemon flavor wasn't too overpowering and it wasn't too sweet as well!

The Mocha was okay. The coffee wasn't too strong and the chocolate was a little sweet for my liking. Wanted a more bitter coffee flavor.

It was overall a good experience and if we weren't really following a sched, I would have loved to stay longer.

A fine coffee shop with all day breakfast dishes from the group that brought us Poco Deli, Epic Cafe is a fine looking coffee shop. Nice modern rustic interior, lots of earth tones, and it's a place that's certainly worth hanging out in. I met up with friends here some time late last year, and we hung out for the entire afternoon here. They have wifi, too. Parking is limited though, with about 2-3 slots outside and maybe you get lucky with a parking slot across the street. This is on the same side as Ramen Cool and I think across the street from Charlie's.

I ordered their Tapa; at about P250, the quantity isn't bad. Plating isn't really their thing, but the tapa is solid. A bit sweet, moist and the beef is cut up in small pieces. Good flavor, though not necessarily memorable. 3/5

We also tried their rainbow cake (4/5) and another cake (sorry I forgot the name, but it's in the pic, rating 3/5) which were both pretty good. I also ordered their brewed coffee which tasted decent, medium roast. I wouldn't characterize this place as 3rd wave, but quite a nice cafe for those looking for the neighborhood coffee shop and not the usual cafe's you can find all over Metro Manila. I did recall that the tapa took sooooo long to serve so the kitchen was a bit slow. Otherwise, everything was good. Perfect for those looking to chill, have many types of coffee choices and dessert. Overall, it's a 3.5 star experience. Raised it to 4 here. It's been here for a number of years so I figure it's got a good following to be a steady venue among Kapitolyo residents and visitors alike.

When in Kapitolyo, try epic cafe. They have yummy cakes and the menu offers a variety of coffee 9749️ to choose from. The interior is cute and cozy. You can spend sitting there for hours just reading or hanging out with friends. Friendly staff as well! Parking may be an issue when you get there though but overall a nice place to try or go back to.

We have decided to hangout in GastroPark on a Friday night. It was around 10:30 but it was packed and a little hot that night.

So we just decided to check EPIC for coffee and desserts. Ze gf doesnt like what they offered for frappe so we just ordered a slice of Rainbow Cake (P195) for takeout. And just hangout at SB Commons after.

Rainbow cake is a slice of colorful layered cake with white frosting. It was just ok for us. But it was filling. Good to share. Wish the white frosting tasted like my favorite meringue. Anyways it was good cake to share for the night.

EPIC was not crowded that night tho.

Rainbow Cake is not only pleasing to my eye but undeniably one of my fav picks at Kapitolyo for dessert. 128525 For a price of P195, i must say it's worth a try.

First time trying this cafe. Seemed like your typical cafe.

Got tea, because Im having dinner afterwards and I didn't wanna ruin my appetite with a frappe or coffee.

Place was very rustic and gives off an old type feel. No music was played though. Although the ambiance and decor are simple and vintage.

I appreciate their use of thermos for hot water refill.

Toilet looks clean too. Hand soap and alcohol is provided as well. Which I don't usually see.

Would definitely go back and bring friends here for a coffee or tea fix.

Parking was full, but their security assisted me and was very helpful. So thumbs up for that.

Over Rainbows and Coffee. 127861

Loved the interiors of this place.

Their cakes and ice creams are normal.

I'd go back to this place and give their coffee a second chance.

Tried their Caramel Latte during my first visit and it was just way too sweet.

Perfect place to study alone since they have a fast wi-fi connection. Although, they don't have any working outlets so make sure that your laptop is fully charged or you have a powerbank with you!

I tried their best seller btw, “The” Sea Salt Caramel Frappe! Kudos to their nice and accommodating baristas!

Epic is my go to study or work place in Kapitolyo when I'm looking for a place with good food, a/c, functioning wifi, and a clean CR! 128514

But seriously, if I'm planning to stay at least two hours somewhere it has to have a clean restroom otherwise it wouldn't be an option.

Anyway, I really enjoy their coffees, for the hot option get their salted caramel, for the iced option get their lattés. Their coffee is a bit strong so be careful if you're ordering a plain cup of joe. 128556

I also highly recommend their sandwiches! Try everything! It's quite filling and can be shared by two people. Fresh ingredients and soft bread. 128077🏼

Their ice cream is also quite good, try their mint chocolate flavor. 128522

Pictured is their bread pudding which comes with a creamy sauce that has a bit of alcohol but trust me this is the bomb. 128163 the perfectly baked texture and flavors of the pudding is a great pairing with their strong cups of coffee. For a non caffeinated option, order their matcha or chocolate drinks. 128076🏼

Again, the ambience here is great and the wifi is decent. The only fallback is that they've sealed off their sockets so no charging stations here. 128078🏼

Adios! 128111

After we ate, we're looking for a quiet place to talk about our next adventure. Since we're in Kapitolyo, we wanted something different. Luckily, we spotted Epic just few meters from where we dined.

The manager named Frank welcomed and greeted us upon entering the store. We ordered their best seller Sea Salt Caramel for 160.00 pesos and it tasted so good. We also ordered a slice of Lava cake for 100 pesos (sulit na)

I liked the ambiance of the place. It's wooden interior inside. On their wall, you can see some photos like (Pico De Loro, Tinipak River and Mt. Marami) Ahaha napapala ng gala na tao.. The manager approached us and said "mukhang mahilig po kayo sa adventure sir kasi kami na crew di namin alam mga pangalan ng mga lugar na yan basta alam lang namin maganda sa picture" and we replied, kung alam mo lang sir sabay ngiti128522

Overall, It's a nice place to have a short chat if you're in Kapitolyo and try something different aside from the usual coffee shop we usually go to if talking about coffee (you know what I mean).

Capping off our hearty and delicious lunch @ Charlie's (last week), with a cup of coffee, located few blocks away. Yes its hot but, this is the place we have in mind. Had been in this place about 2 years ago.

The place is not the standard small hole-in-the-wall type, place is enough for group of friends who wanted to hangout or chitchats. There are actually real bikes hanging as displays and board where lomo pics as display. Some kinda artsy128149 with wooden chairs.

I ordered their Cappuccino, the cup for only P120. Not bad for its good taste. Nothing spectacular but yes I enjoyed my drink. For some people who is not into coffee, they have matcha , which my companion, Yna N ordered... We'll its good as starbucks (daw). They also have desserts and gellatos, hope to try it when we come back. 9786

I had no idea I was living 1 km away from Kapitolyo until today. I found this place when I was searching for a cafe that has good food and fast wifi connection.

I love the interior of this cafe! Their choice of music suits well with its vintage theme. I love how quiet it can get because everyone seems to be busy with their own work. It could have been the perfect place to get shit done if only they did not taped their power outlet. So if you're planning to work here, make sure your gadgets are fully charged!

I ordered their Iced Green Tea Matcha because I've been avoiding coffee lately. This is my perfect alternative haha! I also tried their Grilled Mozzarella Cheese because it was recommended by their staff. It was good but there's nothing special.

I would come back for more matcha and so I could try food from their whole day breakfast menu. They were preparing tapa when I was about to leave and it smelled delicious!

The place of the cafe was sketchy but once you get in you would feel like any other cafes. Basic woody interior, good lighting and some inspiring photographs on the wall.

I'm not a coffee lover but I always wanted to go to coffee shop for hangout. This place is really good to those who loves to hangout and have some good time in chatting with colleagues.. Price is right, service is good and place is great!!! I ordered hot matcha (picture posted) as what I said I am not a coffee person just for hangout only...128522128077🏻
